Great tour in a short amount of time
Great tour if you only have a few hours in LA! We were able to see all of the major sights/landmarks we were looking forward to seeing (Hollywood sign, Griffith Observatory). Rob was a great tour guide/driver, too!

Celebrity Homes Tour - just ok
This was ok, not brilliant just ok, but it could have been so much better. Obviously you’re not going to be going right up to the front door of homes but it would be more accurate to call it ‘Celebrity Homes Front Gates’ tour. The guide had a habit of pointing things out, either as you got there or in one case when you had just passed by, so it would be better if they said “coming up on your left in 30 seconds is …”. The view of the Hollywood sign is a 10 second stop peering through some trees. On the plus side it was good to see different areas of LA.

Great way to see the sights without having to fight the traffic!
The trip gave us just what we wanted. The ability to hop on and hop off at various sites in Hollywood and Santa Monica. We were able to make a day of it with extra time at Santa Monica Pier and still back in time to enjoy Hollywood blvd and the sights there. Drivers were very nice and it was great to let them fight the traffic and just enjoy the sites! Would recommend them if you are looking to tour these areas.

        Disappointing service
Was left waiting for 30 minutes past the allotted time only for the late bus to stop for a brief moment before leaving without 4 people including myself. We were all briskly walking towards the bus who pulled up further than where we were standing. Due to an injured knee I am unable to run so was most disappointed when we had to wait another 30 for the next bus. Another company passed us multiple times while we were waiting . The tracker on the brochure also was not a tracker but instead just went to the website. Why the misleading information? Having a 48 hour ticket I was not willing to use this service on the second day. Most disappointed by this company.

        Listed times
We found that the listed times were not correct. According to the brochure we were 7 minutes early for our bus at Vine and Melrose. We waited over an hour, and caught the last bus of the day. 😬

Such a fun way to see the city!
I'm a local and decided to join my visiting relatives on the tour, and it was really fun. Our tour guide was Alan, and he was the perfect kind of funny for this kind of thing. He was informative and a great driver, and kept us all engaged from beginning to end. If you're going in May just remember that it can be cold so make sure to bring a sweater, that way you can just kick back and enjoy the ride.

        Choose a different tour operator
I was very exited at the thought of going on this tour, things did not start off well! Don’t be fooled on the booking site when it says ‘only 9 places left for this slot’. The van only took 8. The website states to get there 30 minutes early, they emailed me 8 minutes before my estimated arrival time to say they had delayed my ride. This is not acceptable when you have already parked in an extremely expensive car park. When I turned up at the kiosk my QR code on my phone wouldn’t scan so I was directed to ‘the boss’, the man sitting down in the black shirt. He definitely should not be working in tourism or customer service. He was the rudest most ignorant man I have come across. There is not enough salt and ketchup in LA for the size of the chip on his shoulder. On the actual tour, there wasn’t a great deal about current stars and where they live but we learned a lot about arboriculture and topiary! If you go on this tour be prepared to get cold. Also, I find the suggestion that the tour guides are underpaid and have to survive on their tips somewhat fanciful. The arrogance of the man suggesting how much I should tip him is beyond description. $10 per person by the way! Would I do this trip again….. No way!!!!

        LA Bus Tour
This Hop On- Hop Off tour came as a free add on for our trip to LA. We had such a great time! We started at the Dolby Theatre, which meant we could spend some time at Mann's Chinese Theatre beforehand, enjoying all the film star hand prints & Hollywood Walk of Fame. Then we hopped on the Red Line which took us through the city & into Beverley Hills. Then changed over to the Yellow line so we could go explore Venice & Santa Monica. Fantastic day, good commentary. Easy to find pick up spots. I would have given 5 Stars if the bus hadn't broken down on our way back to Beverley Hills. Fun & great way to understand the layout of this sprawling city! On a separate note, I highly recommend spending time in Venice, really cool vibe!

Reasonable, safe way of seeing Hollywood. Could be better though
We only did the tour around Hollywood (red route). One driver (with an incredibly deep voice) bothered to reiterate what the stops were, which was more helpful than the actual recorded tour (so thank you to him) - was really noticeable when he wasn’t driving. Reasonable way of seeing around Hollywood/getting to Beverley hills, however as the closest it can stop near to Rodeo Drive is 5 blocks, felt it wasn’t as helpful as most trips of this type. Also only ran every 45 minutes, simply not regularly enough to use as a way of getting around. Would wholeheartedly recommend the farmers market stop though!

        Recommend red route only
Not too bad. We did the red route which showed us what we wanted. We also did purple route which was a waste of time and money for us. We got off at farmers market which is a foodie place then got a Lyft back to hotel rather than waiting for this bus as takes so long in traffic looking at nothing really

This review is specifically related to the transportation portion of the day. The brochure leads you to believe that you will be at the destination for opening 9:00AM in the case of Universal Studios. This is not the case! Once they pick up everyone and deliver them to the point of payment on time departure is 9:15AM that being said there is 45-60 minutes on the freeway to Universal. At the end of the day you get 15 minutes after the park closes to be on the bus. I would suggest Uber, Lyft or a town car instead.

Booked our tickets with the hotel and they organized for us to be picked up and dropped off so we didn't have the worry of driving to Univeral Studios, we were dropped off in the car park and told to be there by 6:15pm only thing as after you have been around the park and want to see the shopping centre allow for time we didn't, but otherwise great trip great tour compan.y

If you don't have a car and aren't comfortable taking a shared ride this might be for you, but be prepared to spend many hours in a bus and miss several hours of the park. The park is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Even though we boarded the hotel pick up bus at 8:30 we didn't get to the park until 10:30 and the latest return offered is 6:00, so you actually spend about 3 hours of the day on the bus. The drivers were efficient and got us there and back safely, which, considering the 10 lanes of bumper to bumper traffic they were driving in, was commendable.

A universal studio theme park ticket includes the studio tour. You can save money by buying an admission ticket direct from universal for $129 each. An Uber or Lyft from a Hollywood hotel is about $8 each way. You can save over $100 by buying direct from Universal and taking an uber or lyft or calling starline tours directly. This ad is misleading. It does not give you any advantage. The tour & theme park were excellent.

Absolute waste of time. After getting picked up from Santa Monica then get taken back to the depot near airport then taken to Universal Studios over 2.5 hrs on bus no cheaper or better experience I would suggest just get a Uber and go directly there be there on time and without the frustration of sitting on an uncomfortable bus for an extended period of time....
Unfortunately I have another “tour” booked for tomorrow, but I think I’ll cancel.

It’s good, for kids and adolescents it’s much more interesting. To adults there are a few attractions like Fast and furious , sound special effects and the visit to the set.

The main problem is that they will you pick you up around 8 AM and drop you by 630PM but they never tell you that your actual trip is effectively starting around 11 AM and had to finish by 530 PM to catch the return transport. you are just left with 5 to 6 hours to finish the tour and god help you if you are visiting on a weekend or a holiday, as then you will hardly enjoy two or three rides due to waiting period.
It is easier to make your own arrangement to reach and return by using Uber or Lyft as it is quite convenient and you can actually enjoy the place.

Booked 2 day transportation to parks. The website states you will be sent 2 voucher codes and it is really easy to book the transport and use them. This is a lie. Having sent 2 emails ( as we are in the UK and the time difference isn't convenient to speak on the phone) we have had no reply from them at all. Will never use them again and advise people not to use them. Disgraceful service!
