Wow!! Talk about an amazing tour. This is the perfect opportunity if you’d like to see several aspects of Dominican culture wrapped up in one package. Not only is the tour the perfect length, it included a fantastic meal (so delicious) and a beautiful ride to a beach at the end. Do not skip this excursion!!! For a 10/10 experience make sure you get Robinson (guide) and Sandy (driver).

My partner and I loved it!!! Delicious food, wonderful culture and we were treated extremely well the entire time. Absolutely recommend this tour, it’s the perfect length as well. First time in DR and I would literally come back to hang out with Tito and Judith. We truly enjoyed ourselves. If you’re worried about a language barrier, don’t because Judith literally speaks several different languages LOL and Tito came with all the car jams! It was birthday (1/6) the day of our tour and Tito made sure every stop we made everyone said/sung Feliz Cumpleaños🥳. From horse back riding, drinking mamajuana, smoking cigars to learning about their culture it was truly a great experience. Thank you sooo much Tito and Judith (#Family) 🤗🫶🏾😊

Darwin is a great guide. He knows a lot about the history and the country and was very happy the whole time. He took us to the mountain, with a very nice view. Although the weather was not great, he tried to make it as pleasant as possible. We would recommend him as a guide!

The tour gave you the opportunity to visit outside of Punta Cana. The drive was scenic, and the beach was beautiful. The lunch was surprisingly simple, but tasty. Gusto conducted the tour and was attentive to our needs. If you have time, take the tour.

The excursion was great . Darwin was an excellent guide, we a real feel of life in the DR and would definitely recommend this tour.

Picked up from our hotel at 7am and back just before 3pm so more a full day - great value jam packed day giving you a real flavour of what it really like outside of the resorts. We did so much with horse riding, cigar making, going to the markets (which was a real eye opener), lunch, visited someones home, got to see how they make coffee and chocolate and even more. Our guide Justo Veloz was very good, he seemed to do most of the talking and organising for the other groups too. My only feedback would be for the windows to be cleaned as dirty windows make it hard to take photos.

Great tour, but note: this is more like all day, not half day. We got picked up at our hotel and returned around 4:30. Sandy our driver was great and very friendly. Franklin out your guide was very knowledgeable about the island, and spoke very good English and Spanish. We ride horses (super short but fun), the market was an experience, the coffee and chocolate was very interesting, lunch was delicious, and cigar rolling was awesome. Even saw someone get baptized in the river. Family had a great time

As far as I can tell… this is the ONLY tour that truly captures the essence of Dominican culture. We crammed so many experiences into a single day without feeling rushed (basilica, chocolate and coffee making, cigar factory, street market, Macao beach, lunch… the list goes on and on). Darwin, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. Many tours of this nature feel scripted in that the guide is just going through the motions to maximize a tip. Darwin genuinely made the experience feel personalized in a way that I’ve never seen. He even suggested a local restaurant with ACTUAL authentic Dominican food and taxied us there!! If you don’t want to see the true side of the DR, don’t book this tour. If you’re normal and want to learn about the country, book this now.

I had a great time on this tour during a recent trip to the Dominican Republic. I went with a few family members and we all really enjoyed it! Our tour guide's name was Robinson. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the cities, landmarks, and areas we visited. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn more about the local culture when visiting or in the Punta Cana area.

This was a great experience. I almost canceled because I was a little sleepy, but I’m glad that I went. We started off the tour exploring different neighborhoods. We did some horseback riding, run tasting, a view of the fruit market, cigar factory, made some chocolate, and then finally we hit the beach. Our tour guide Robinson was fantastic as well as Sandy and his partner David. I highly recommend this tour if you want to truly experience the Dominican culture and not just Punta Cana. No Mikey Mouse. No no no lol. Shoutout to Robinson

I had great expectations for this trip. But we got picked up very very late. An hour and half late. Then we headed to pick up other people from other resorts. In the meantime the other driver from same company had taken one couple that belonged to our party in a different group and our driver and guide were not able to figure this out so we kept waiting for this couple that had already left. Hence we lost two plus hours of our tour time. The guide mentioned that she was very sorry but we would miss the horseriding n go straight to the Higuey church. Sorry doesn't help cause we were very much looking forward to the riding . When we were annoyed she brushed it off. They didn't even reimburse us for making us miss this part. We were then rushed to the church. The guide did not even tell us any history of the church and as an English guide she wasn't able to understand nor speak it well. We then were rushed through the local market. No stops no explanation of any unique fruits and vegetables m she just kept saying let's go let's go. Then they wasted our time at a very bad pricey and dusty souvenir shop. Then lunch by anamuya river was good and the plantation n cigar factory tour was very good. But overall no money back for having wasted our time and missing the horse riding . No use of the guide AT All. I have no idea why this tour is highly rated. I Do NOT suggest this tour at all. The driver was very nice. Tito was his name he was friendly but spoke spanish so wasn't able to provide information. The market stop is super waste of time the coffee n cacao plantation tour is nice but I have done better at Cuba n costa rica. The lady guide Judith was not a guide at all. I do not know why she is was in the tour at all. I referred Wikipedia for information about the basilica. I need my money back for wasting my day.

I had fun out of this trip. The tour guide, Judith and the driver, Tito were friendly. They made sure that we are getting the most experience as we can. Tito is good in camera, he took me amazing photos when we visited the church in Higuey. Judith is good in personal connection, she made sure that we are all comfortable and safe in the entirety of our journey. Highly recommended - Niel from Canada
