The first village you will visit is named Macao, where you will be able to appreciate the view of banana plantations and the grazing cows and horses. You will cross Main Street where you will see schools, small markets, a ranch and the peaceful wilderness of green trees and mountains. La Seiba, the next small town on the road, houses 3,000 people.
Next it is time for horseback riding - you will each have a horse to go through the small Valle of Lajina. The guide will explain safety to you and how to ride the horse. Don't forget to look out for the beautiful mango trees. After horseback riding, visit the cigar store or paint shop; everyone in the town is very friendly with visitors. The next destination will be the main city of Higuey, a city of over 300,000 people. You will be impressed by the crazy traffic with motorcycles and taxis all over the streets. People are always waving their hands to you to welcome you to their country. You will also be shown the second church of the country which is 500 years old.
Along the ride between mountains, see places where some Hollywood movies were filmed, such as Jurassic Park and Rambo. On the road you will see various plantations of chocolate beans and natural fruits as well. Eventually you will reach Rancho Monte Rey (king mountain), where you will be given instructions for the ziplining. The ranch will also serve you your buffet lunch. Natural fruit punch juice, Coca Cola and water are included, however alcoholic drinks are not. You will also hear soft, classic Bachata and the Dominicans around can teach you some moves.
After the long journey, you will finally visit Macao Beach, the place where most surfers come to enjoy the waves. Here you will see a small beach restaurant where locals have fish and lobsters available for purchase. After about 30 minutes, you will get back to your truck where you will be on your way back to the hotel.
