Chemka (Kikuletwa) hot springs
I just thought I would write this review after going to the hot springs to answer a few questions that I had about going there. First you should know that the water is not hot (it’s not too cold but definitely not like hot springs I’ve been to before which are more like a bath). There are fish which tickle you but once you start swimming they go away. There are no towels provided so bring your own and maybe something to lie on as there are only a few benches to sit on around the water and if it is busy then there are no seats (the ground is quite dusty to sit on). There are no showers/changing rooms so try to go ready to swim (there is a screen led area but it is very small). There are some toilets (typical African hole in the ground). Local food is available eg. Chicken and chips or rice and bbq meats. There is beer and soft drinks available. The water and surroundings are beautiful so it is definitely worth the trip (although maybe only a half day needed -depending how long you like to swim).

Great guide, beautiful landscape
Our guide was so professional and on time and spoke brilliant English. He was very knowledgeable about the local area and people. We were unlucky with the weather, but his forward planning and organisation skills meant that we had appropriate footwear and a lovely waterproof mat to sit on and enjoy our scenic waterfall lunch (other groups were wearing flip flops and had to sit on the wet ground!). Overall a great experience.

Incredible safari
Amazing experience. Our guide Freddy picked us up in Moshi at 6am and we arrived at Tarangire for 11. The following few hours were mind-blowing, as we marvelled at the scenery and animals from our rooftop perch. Highlights included watching around 40 elephants drinking at the river and then later enjoying a mud bath, before mingling with the jeeps. Zebras, buffalo and giraffes galore. Much hilarity at the picnic site when one of our pupils had his lunch stolen by a monkey! Overnight accommodation at Haven Nature was excellent: comfortable beds and warm showers, and it felt a very safe place for our 23 school pupils. An early start took us to Ngorongoro, where the mist cleared into glorious sunshine and lion sightings. One male lion walked within centimetres of the jeeps. Stunning to behold. A troop of baboons entertained us before we witnessed a large number of hippos bathing in a pool, a picture of contentment. A number of ostriches, bustards and flamingos caught the eye, while scores of gazelle, zebra and wildebeest grazed together in perfect harmony. Our group were spread over 5 jeeps and all the guides were more than happy to answer any questions. Their knowledge of the wildlife is excellent and really added another dimension to our experience. A fantastic end to our 2 weeks in Tanzania!

Informative guide
I was there with 2 other staff members with a group of 24 teenagers. We had this safari on the end of a working trip in Moshi. What a treat it was! The group was split between a few vehicles each with a friendly and informative driver. Ours managed to spot 2 black rhino in the distance, which I saw as 2 black blobs, one of the clever kids on my jeep took a photo on her mobile through binoculars and he was right! Packed lunches each day were plentiful and delicious. Accommodation at Haven was basic but pleasant, it was good to be away from a busy town and back in the country! Fully recommend KLM Safari for their communicative, informative and friendly staff.

Amazing experience and well organised
Being picked up in Moshi for a 3 Day safari trip in comfortable jeeps with chiller for water and power for cameras etc. The drivers were very friendly and knowledgeable. They arranged for us to stay at Haven Nature Campsites who looked after us well and provided excellent food and picked lunches for the trips. There were no issues and every request was easily catered for. Would highly recommend using KLM Safari.

Amazing and life changing experience
This safari far exceeded my expectations. We saw herds of elephants crossing the road in front of us, giraffes within arm’s reach, lions, rhinos, hippos, hundreds of flamingos and zebras, monkeys and so much more. Despite being so close to these animals, we constantly felt safe and in extremely good hands as the drivers are so experienced and friendly. All the drivers communicate through radios to ensure that you don’t miss out on anything and they always made the extra effort to make our experience the best and most unforgettable it could be.

Amazing Experience
We had an amazing experience on our 3 day safari with KLM. The safari jeeps were comfortable and we could open the roof to stand up and get a better view of the animals. Our guide Elly was lovely and gave us lots of information about the area and animals. Lots of the animals came right up to within metres of the jeeps. It was amazing to see the animals in their natural habitat. I would definetely recommend KLM safaris.

2 Day Safari trip after a Building Expedition
First and foremost I would like to give a massive thanks to the safari driver Elly, he was not only very polite and kind but he was very informative and answered any questions we had. He would stop anytime we asked to take pictures and never complain. As for the places themselves (Tarangire Park and Ngorongoro Crater) they were absolute beautiful and filled with so many amazing animals. I would highly recommended this is experience.

While volunteering in Tanzania, we took a 2 day trip to the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire national parks with KLM Safaris. The guys at KLM were fantastic and looked after us all incredibly well! The drivers / guides were very knowledgable and even though they drove long hours I always felt very safe.

School trip
Had a brilliant trip with KLM Safaris. Drivers were fantastic, making a great effort to ensure we saw as much as possible, and we did see loads! Trip was made more special as we saw two rhino at close range, a very special moment. The safari ran smoothly from start to finish. Have used KLM twice now and will book with them again in 2020.
