About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 56eliahw0 contributionsSpanish GuideThe trip was good and our guide really friendly. However, on here, it said when I booked that it was an English speaking guide, but on the day it wasn't. And so I missed out on all of the explanations and stories, which did negatively impact the experience.Written 2 November 2022
- ambitiousoul_0 contributionsJust a busNo communication, calls and messages weren’t answered. I was at the pickup point 15 minutes early and no one was there. Tour is NOT in English and no one at the company spoke English or bothered to try to translate anything. I had to use my broken Spanish to get by. Giving 3 stars because they went out of their way to get me to the group once they realized. Good for transportation to and from Aguas Turquesas but this is not a “tour”. Also, make sure you know you can no longer swim here, some people I noticed brought swimsuits and were disappointed.Written 26 July 2022
- 966luzmarinal0 contributionsA great tour operatorI got in touch with Huancaraylla Tours Peru before travelling to Ayacucho and it was a great decision as they organized everything at a fair cost with a nice team included the desk, guides and drivers. We chose a private tour because we were three and just had three days . Our highlight was Wari, and the guide, an anthropologist named Mariel or Mary walked us through the museum, site, astonishing landscape and biodiversity. At the end, we felt that we made the most of our time. Thanks, I definitely recommend Huancaraylla tour agent.Written 30 May 2022
- Amy H0 contributionsGreat tourWe had a nice lunch and the falls were beautiful. Our guide gave us a little time to check out the falls. We got to walk above them and down to themWritten 15 March 2020
- lilatravels20190 contributionsLagunas turquesasReally amazing day tour! The travel is quite far, 3 hours each way all through curvy mountains roads, but its soooo worth it! This place is stunning. Best thing about it, there aren't many people. Really nice and caring tourguide.Written 13 April 2019

This was an excellent day-long tour of the area around Huamanga (Ayacucho)! The tour left promptly on time from the main plaza which most of us were staying near. Our tour guide Jorge was incredibly knowledgeable about the sites we were going to visit and began to give us some historical context of the city as the bus pulled out into the mountains. The Wari site (and flora) was incredible to see and without a tour guide, would be very difficult to fully appreciate as there is no signage so it's critical to go with an experienced tour guide! Afterward, we visited a newer local bee museum that offered some treats which was an unexpected but very pleasant surprise, and also offered some incredible views of the area! At this point, we headed to the pampa de Ayacucho (or Quinua as it's known) which was a short car ride away. Once again, without a knowledgeable tour guide, one could easily visit the area without fully appreciating the historical value for Peru and Latin America.
After taking a short lunch break at a local restaurant that showcased local dishes, we went to our final stop to check out a local artisan's studio and even took home a small souvenir that we made ourselves. Overall I was very impressed with the expertise of our tour guide, the comfort and timeliness of the tour and if i had more time in the city would've loved to check out some of the other tours offered by Huancaraylla Tours!

Hola, me gustaría saber si el o la guía va a explicar lo que ocurrió durante la Batalla en Quinua; es decir si va a contar la historia. Muchas gracias
