          customizable
My teenage son and I loved it. They customized our trip from Athens to Meteora by bus, had lunch and toured great photo stops and monasteries with the group and then left them to go on our own and stay in Meteora. It was perfect. We spent the following day on our own and then grabbed a bus west to go to Corfu.

A must (when able) in Meteora.
Did a hiking and scrambling tour with Kostas, amazing experience, great views, and Kostas makes you feel safe on these steep mountain sides, and is very helpful in making sure you have your pictures to remember. If you’re capable of a bit of a climb please do yourself a favor and go.

          Great Tour
Great tour and would highly recommend. We had Dmitri as our guide and Costas as our driver and both were top notch. Lots of great pictures and excellent background for each location. Thank you for making it a memorable trip (and get the optional lunch - well worth it)! Smith Family - California

          Greatly recommended!!
If you have the chance, book this trip!! Great value for money, because you get so much detailed information about everything that has to do with the Meteora, the Hermit caves, the beautiful Byzantine church in Kalambaka etc. etc. You visit one of the monasteries, they bring you to spots for wonderful pictures and even though the tour would end at 20.00 h, they brought us to see the sunset which was at about 20.45. So greatly recommended!!

Meteora Tour VS Meteora Photo Op
Overall the tour was good but I recommend not doing a day tour but taking the train to the area and spending a couple nights there, or booking a multiple day tour. The five hour drive to and from the monasteries was great! It was well organized and it was a very smooth ride. The bus was air conditioned, had WiFi, a place to charge your electronic devices, and cold bottled water. After the long drive, we got to the town below the monasteries and the tour guide got on the bus and they took us to a restaurant for lunch. If you bought the ticket including the lunch, you went to this restaurant and your lunch was all ready for you. It was a pre-made plate and you got what you were given plus a drink. We did not get the inclusive lunch because 30 CAD seemed a lot for a lunch considering Greece is quite cheap. Because we didn't buy the lunch we couldn't sit in the restaurant without buying anything, so we wandered the streets until we found a bench on the side of the road where we ate the lunch that we brought. We were only given 40 minutes for lunch, 20 of which we looked for a place to sit. We felt quite rushed. Note that across from the restaurant was a convenience store with some ice cream and sandwiches. You could've gone to the restaurant and ordered food for less than 30 CAD but they only give you 40 minutes... In a similar way, the refreshment stop on the way to and from Meteora was super expensive! It was 27€ for one meal and a drink. Every tour bus stopped there and no matter what you bought, you'd be ripped off. We only had 20 minutes to go to the bathroom and get a snack with 5 other tour buses also stopping there. It was super rushed! The monasteries themselves were beautiful and definitely worth a visit. I wish the time at each monastery was longer but it's difficult to see 3 monasteries in 5 hours. All you could do is look at the museum and church at each monastery and then walk back to the bus. Note that if you don't speak Greek, then you won't understand much. We wanted to know more but no one was there to answer our questions. As well, there were no books explaining the religion or their practice. There is a lot more in the Meteora area what would've been nice to see, but we didn't have enough time and that's not the tours fault. The tour itself was pretty good except for a few things. The tour guide knew his history and gave a great tour, but if you tried to have a conversation with him, he was not interested. He was not a very friendly guy unless you were a woman... Also, the bus stopped 5 times to allow people to take photos. Just photos. You literally stop, get out, take a photo, get back in, drive a minute and do it all over again about 3 times in a row. It was a waste of time. If you're interested in just taking photos then you'll like this tour, but I also recommend Google images instead (it'll be cheaper). Considering the rushed refreshment stops, the quick lunch, and the quick visits at each monastery, the photo ops should've been cut out of the tour.

          Fantastic tour of breathtaking scenery
Wonderful tour with interesting insights of three Meteora Monasteries. The trip from Athens is long and grueling, but the sights are worth it!

wonderful place and excellent tour experience
the most beautiful landscape, and the monasteries themselves are incredible. Definitely a must see. The bus ride from athens was pleasant and air conditioned, and they waited for me for 5 minutes to get on when I had trouble finding the pick up location and we still arrived on time. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, accomodating and fun. The prepaid meal before going up the mountains wasn't gourmet but was tasty and filling

          MAJESTIC METEORA 😀
Excellent, efficient organisation and communication. Large a/c tourist bus with wifi left Athens on time and on arrival we were immediately divided into groups of 12 into a new Mercedes minivan. Great guide, knowledgeable and friendly.Long day but most enjoyable. Meteora is not to be missed.

          Perfect
Beautiful trip The Meteora Sunset with perfect guid Vangelis. We have got a lot of new and interesting informations from the history and also these days. The places we were shown were different from the traditional tourists places, although we visited all the monasteries on our own. Also the atmosphere of the sunset and the panorama view on the monasteries was perfect. Thank You Vangelis.

          Great Tour with Chris
I really enjoyed my tour with Chris. He provided great company and conversation as well as explaining different things about Meteora that I didn't get from other tours. I walked at quite a fast pace so Chris made sure to show me a few extra spots that I hadn't seen yet.

It was so great and priceless to be able to visit the monasteries with so few tourists so there was no issue with accessing the monasteries, all could be appreciate with enough time and the guide Katerina explained what to see before going inside. For example in Vaarlam, they told us to watch the video that explained the pulley system, which was great, as otherwise I would have probably missed it.

She was very friendly and gave us many information about the area she is from.

Very highly recommended tour and agency to do the tour with.

Try to do the sunset tour before as you'll visit the hermit caves and you'll understand better how it all begins.

        A magical place to visit.

As a mid-winter tour this was small-group, unhurried, thoroughly informative and responsive to the group's interests and requests. History of the stunning mountain scenery and the hermit history leading to mountaintop monasteries was given in a relaxed and clear way appropriate to the size of the group. The driver made sure we were all relaxed and photographed in the ochery. Three contrasting monasteries were visited before the morning train (and bigger numbers of tourists) arrived. Meteora is stunningly unique and this was an excellent and measured way to thoroughly enjoy the history, culture and scenery, with suggestions for post-tour meals and activities.

Although it was rainy and foggy, Katerina and Yarvos, went out of their way to make our tour an exceptional experience. We visited 3 monasteries and the hermit cave. They were sights not to be missed. Yarvos was a very careful and steady driver and Katerina was very knowledgeable regarding the history of the monasteries and the hermitage. She clearly loves the religion and history of these monasteries and it shows in her wonderful presentation. They both helped to take picture for us and made extra stops to ensure we got the best views of the area despite the weather. We would highly recommend taking this tour!

I booked a tour called "train to train" which was approximately 5 hours long and included visits to 3 monasteries (Great Meteoron, Varlaam and St George). Everything went smoothly, there were no unexpected stops, no shop visits etc. The van was comfortable, there was free cold water for everyone. The guide (Katerina) always asked if there are any questions and generally was very attentive.
I'd recommend to stay overnight in Kalambaka, rent a bike and enjoy the scenery once again, on your own.

We liked their Sunset Tour so much that we decided to book this one as well, and we definitely don't regret it. They picked us up from our hotel in a luxurious van, and we were the only two people in it. Usually that might not be great since you are forced to spend more time talking to the guide, but he was so knowledgeable, funny, and charismatic that we were glad we spent time with him and gave this great company some business in these difficult times. The tour is 4 hours long but it flew by very quickly, and yet we felt like we fully explored Great Meteoron, Varlaam, and Roussanou.

The tour guide and driver were very nice and professional. Tour guide was very informative and gave us many background information of the monasteries and the places. Driver was a professional photographer too! He helped us to take many good photos! Highly Recommended for this tour. However, if you travel in low seasons, you can book the tour when you arrive instead of booking online in advance, it is much cheaper.

Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your positive experience with our tour guide and driver. We're delighted to hear that they were both friendly, professional, and that the tour guide provided you with valuable insights about the monasteries and the surrounding areas. It's great to know that the driver's photography skills added an extra dimension to your trip. We appreciate your recommendation for travelers during the low seasons. Booking on-site can indeed offer cost savings, and it's a helpful tip for budget-conscious travelers. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable tour in the future, and thank you for choosing our services. Your feedback is invaluable to us! Warm regards, George

Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Meteora to see the monasteries! This half day tour is from 9am to 1pm, including hotel pickup and drop off from anywhere in Kastriki or Kalabaka. They transport you in a small mini-bus / van, with 2 people from the company - a tour guide and a skilled bus driver (to navigate the mountain roads.)
Our tour guide, Jim, was great - so enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and friendly. He gave tons of background information before each monastery visit (we visited 3 total.) He gave us plenty of time to take pictures and even stopped the bus a few times to pull over for picture time at certain viewpoints.
We had on average 45 minutes at each monastery which was plenty of time to explore on our own.
The bus provided bottled water as well which was a nice touch after all of the walking!
The only thing that we wish is that we would have had time to book other tours with them! They offer a sunset tour (3 to 8pm) and a hiking tour that sounded amazing.

The tour was great. Pickup was easy, and on time, and the journey to the monasteries was full of interesting information, history, and fun facts about the monasteries. At the monasteries, we were given enough time to explore the 3 monasteries we entered. We also stopped at quite a few great spots to take pictures of the monasteries we didn't enter. The driver was great, as was the tour guide. Would recommend!

While both the driver and the attendant were competent and professional, I was deeply disappointed in this excursion. The trip was described as a small group limited to 18 with a guide who would enter the monasteries and provide a guided tour. Neither of these were true. The group exceeded 23 therefore requiring a large bus. The bus attendant was not a qualified guide and therefore could not enter the monasteries to provide advertised information.
