About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- A9966PNdonnak0 contributionsAmazing solo trip with great guideI had a wonderful time on my Grand Canyon tour. Our guide, Charlie was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. We were able to avoid traffic and his was time efficient. We saw stunning views and he even had great photo suggestions. He went above and beyond and encouraged me to overcome my fear of heights to take amazing shots. I also enjoyed our stop at the Navajo trading post.Written 3 January 2025
- Mitch H0 contributionsExcellent tour experienceOutstanding tour! Our tour guide Jeff was very professional, personable and knowledgeable. We had a great day and enjoyed our stops on the Grand Canyon Explorer Tour.Written 19 December 2024
- Patricia H0 contributionsA bit disappointedI did the Red Rock Explorer Tour from Flagstaff to Sedona. I was a little bit apprehensive about the tour company as in my online searches, it seemed to have three different names it was listed under. I was told on the phone that Great Ventures Tour and Great West tours was one and the same. However, the itineraries were different in some aspects which led to some events never happening for the price paid. My disappointment was paying for a tour and not doing everything that was advertised. We were supposed to shop and have lunch in downtown Sedona and visit Tlaquepaque Square. Not sure where the disconnect was. The rest of the tour and the guide were great. Just very confused with paying for something not quite received or info given to me over the phone incorrect?Written 1 December 2024

- mercedesdB5968NP0 contributionsHopi guided tourWe were very blessed and fortunate to have had a fantastic guided tour of a few Hopi villages with Hopi elder Ronald from the Water/Corn clan! We spent almost a whole day with him and learned so much about the area and the Hopi nation and their culture.Written 7 November 2024

- 850krishnab0 contributionsGreat and awesome!!The whole bus tour was really great!! Cat was awesome, since the previous week we had seen a part of the south rim, she took us to the places we hadn’t seen. It was such an awesome and amazing experience!! The train ride was okay, Mike was great, but the ride itself was not interesting. Nothing special!Written 3 November 2024
- robinsP8760JY0 contributionsGrand Canyon sunset tourThe views were awesome. The guide was very knowledgeable and took us to so many nice spots. The van was clean and comfortable. I had a blast on the trip. The guide stopped on the way back so we could view the stars. That was my favorite part.Written 28 October 2024
- dmg380 contributionsChecked lots of boxes off our bucket list ✅✅✅I booked the upper Antelope Canyon tour with stops at Horseshoe Bend and Glen Canyon Dam. I booked directly through their website for 4 adults. Within in minutes, I had an email confirmation and another email from a tour rep confirming our date and hotel information for pickup. They also call you 48 hrs prior to make sure your hotel pickup is the same and give you your pickup time. Jeff greeted us promptly at 6am to start what would become such an amazing day trip and tour! The tour bus was clean and comfortable. There were 10 total adults on our tour . Jeff provided lots of knowledge of the drive and area destinations. We enjoyed his personality, and he kept us on track to see everything that was on the tour itinerary. We had plenty of time at the destinations , restroom stops, water , and a sit down lunch was included at a local restaurant in Page. We transferred to another tour company in Page that took us to Antelope Canyon in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Lionel was our tour guide for this part of our trip. He was great too and very patient taking unlimited pictures for all of us tourists in Antelope Canyon lol ! After Antelope Canyon, we headed back to the tourism office in Page, and Jeff was waiting for us for our return drive to Sedona. This is a must do tour, and we checked lots of boxes off our bucket list! I highly recommend Jeff and this tour company. You won’t be disappointed! It’s worth the price and sit back and enjoy the ride ! Thanks for the great day and memories !Written 27 October 2024

- ellensH1180EP0 contributionsA memorable experience! This trip exceeded our expectations. Our driver/guide, Stevee was informative and entertaining which made the travel time pass quickly and pleasantly. We had about 4 hours on the canyon rim, which was pleasantly uncrowded, and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. Thank you, Stevee, for a memorable experience.Written 9 October 2024
- tmh_longisland0 contributionsVery nice tour for those who can't stay one night at Grand CanyonBefore recommending an alternative to this trip, I'll say that it was a nice way to get to see the GC. Rather than my getting overwhelmed at "perfect locations at the perfect time", having a knowledgeable guide chose wisely. Prior to being picked up at our hotel, we stopped at Whole Foods for some snacks & pre-made sandwiches for lunch. There were more than enough stops and, at one, we had time to sit in a shaded picnic area & enjoy our lunch. The guide kept the mini-bus group entertained with observations & opinions & history of native tribes. He was very friendly & busted his butt to accommodate us. The mini bus seats 8, has full view, clean windows; a little more legroom would have made it a little more comfortable. Also, bottles of water were provided all day. At the GC, we made several photo opp spots around the south & west parts & sunset was spectacular. After sunset, we were taken to the cafeteria & dinner of our choice (cafeteria food) was provided. (Alcoholic drinks aren't included, but they have a tavern where booze is available.) Back into the bus, a couple of stops.. and - exhausted- we were back in Sedona a about 10:30 pm. OK. so... here goes: just a day or two before leaving NY, I read something in the TA Forum wherein a recommendation was made to avoid the day/sunset trip. Considered in the opinion of the poster was that you're paying for a hotel for a whole day of not being there & that the Sedona sunset was much better; it was recommended that your itinerary should include a place to stay one night so you have the whole day to yourself at the park & can drive back to Sedona with ease & at your own time & pace. After the minibus, it started making sense to me. We were picked up at about 11:50AM (we were scheduled for an 11:10am. And, as mentioned above, there were at least 2-3 stops that I didn't think were even necessary. The day tour was very convenient for someone like me, who was planning to do the Sedona-GC round trip in one day, but I did have a little regret that I didn't take that advice about staying overnight. But the sunset location was very nice, but - then again - it could have been crappy weather-wise, too. And, again, our guide was fantastic. I have only nice things to report, but you may want to check hotels close to the park entrance & get more control of the schedule.Written 7 October 2024
- justinlQ401HZ0 contributionsGrand Canyon Explorer TourMe and my wife did the Grand Canyon Hiking Tour (I believe it is listed on the site as the Explorer Tour) from Sedona. Stanton was our guide and he was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and considerate. He made sure that we had time to get the most out of our day, and that we got to do everything we wanted to do. It was a memorable time and are very happy that we had this experience.Written 3 October 2024
- L5091KLdianal0 contributionsFantastic TourThe Grand Canyon was awesome, and the tour made it even better. Our van and guide Brad were right on time picking us up. He was so knowledgeable and a great storyteller. He talked almost the entire time and all of us were eager listeners. The van was clean and comfortable, the temperature was adjustable when we asked, there were frequent stops for restrooms, snacks, drinks or whatever. At each stop Brad would tell us what to see, visit, do. He anticipated our questions and began answering before the question formed. The sunset was, of course, spectacular! The views of the Canyon awe-inspiring, and the historical stops informative. Dinner was fun, and we even stopped to see the stars on a dark night. It was a fantastic day!Written 1 October 2024

If you are contemplating which Sedona Tour you should take, look no further! Here's why:
Cost is affordable and tour is comprehensive.
Our guide, Casey, was extremely knowledgeable, in touch with the land, history, and culture of Sedona. He spoke eloquently while answering questions and meeting the needs of a variety of individuals.
The open air vehicle allows perfect viewing of the beauty that is Sedona and provides breezes to escape the heat.
It is a small group (ours was 13) so no time is wasted loading and unloading and waiting for a large group of people.
Parking fees for the variety of places you visit would be costly if you are driving on your own to the different locations.
There is both scheduled tour time and time to meander and get lunch on your own.
The day flows seamlessly and you end with a true appreciation and connection to Sedona.
Thanks for such a great day!

Avery was a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. We did the 5.5 hour tour. Worth the price of admission to not deal with parking at some of these locations, not to mention the historical information shared about each one. It was also beneficial to find out where we may want to spend more time during our visit to Sedona.
Open air vans are a nice way to go, however, weather could hinder the experience a bit. The vans have a cover but rain would still get you if you’re unlucky with the day you go. Take a rain jacket or poncho if there’s a chance you’ll get a shower.
There’s a bit of highway travel which meant high winds that our 9 month old didn’t like, but it was pretty limited.
We have no experience with the other tour companies in town (there are many) but I wouldn’t hesitate to tell friends or family to use this company.

Our driver and tour guide Little Joe was very friendly, funny, knowledgable of Sedona’s history and attractions. He was so helpful in suggesting shopping and restaurants in Sedona and even knew info of surrounding towns/area like Jerome and Montezuma’s Well. This tour was a lovely and well worth your time and money. I would def recommend this company, tour and in particular Little Joe as your guide for first time visitors &history aficionados.

Avery was our guide for the 2 hour tour on Saturday, 10/15. There were thunderstorms off and on and we were the only guests. We were provided rain ponchos before we left and definitely needed them, but it was still great. Avery was the best guide, walking us around the stupa, explaining the details and symbolism. He was ready with jokes and the history of the town, telling stories about the statues, settlers and more. Highly recommend!!

Would not recommend. I booked this trip 17 days ago for my 83 year old grandmother’s bucket list. A party of 10 booked the same tour 30 minutes prior to leaving and they were taken before us. Then we were informed that they had no other drivers for the day and we were not going to be able to go. I asked why a group of 10 who booked last minute would be able to leave before us when I booked so far in advance and I was told the driver of the bus chose that larger group instead of our group of 4. I would imagine he was hoping for more tips. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am completely appalled. I would not recommend this company or these tours to ANYONE. Your trip may get cancelled at the last minute with no notice after you’ve been sitting at the drop off point for 25 minutes because some driver hopes they’ll get tipped more. Don’t waste your money.

This was our first visit to Sedona, and this tour was a perfect way to get an overview. Brewsky gave us tons of great information about the history of the area, pointed out the rock formations, and took us around to all the key places. We returned later in the week to revisit the areas we were interested in. I'd highly recommend starting a visit to Sedona with this short tour. One tip is that I would not do this on a Sunday as there are too many visitors and parking is difficult to find.

Our whole family really enjoyed the Highlights of Sedona Tour. The two hour tour included breathtaking vistas as well as fascinating historical facts and stories narrated by our fabulous guide Avery. Our favorite stop was Rachel's Knoll in a secluded gated community.

This was called an "introductory" tour of Sedona but our tour guide Steevebee exceeded our expectations. We made all the rounds from the Chapel on the Hill, Oak Creek, Slide Rock and had many photo ops. Our guide was so informative and explained all about the geology, plant life and history of beautiful Sedona.

Is this tour appropriate for the elderly? Is there much walking required?
Written 12 February 2022
No, there is not too much walking involved except at the church. The driver may be able to access the top of the drive, but even there, walking to the church entrance may prove difficult for the elderly.

Hi, so we're interested in taking our Canam on a trail tour but I don't know if that's allowed ? Or if there's a tour that allows that option or accommodates for it...?
Please let me know.
Thank you :)

Hello,
Me and my family are planning to book the scenic tour next Friday . I have a couple questions.
1) will the transportation be van/ bus.Just want to make sure the ride won’t be too rough for my aunt
2) the tour says the pick up is at the hotel.. if we are not staying at a hotel, where would the meeting place be?
Thanks for your time,
Marie

That question I cannot answer. All I can say is call the tour companies that deal with trip advisor and ask. I just went on 2 tours and I did not see anyone with a pet.

What time does the tour leave and return? Why do you not list the schedule to help us plan?

Our tour left around 8am, returning around 1230. Great tour! I really enjoyed it.
