Beagle Channel Yacht Tour - so much fun
Such a great time! Our guide was amazing, she was loads of fun, knowledgeable and spoke perfect Spanish and English. Saw loads of sea lions, birds and dolphins came and swam with the boat. Definitely do this tour if you’re in Ushuaia!

    Great Channel Experience!
We chose this particular tour because it included an opportunity to get out on one of the islands and walk a while. The guide shared interesting information about the indigenous people and showed us some archaeological remains as well as shared the importance of different native plants. The views from the island were gorgeous, and we took beautiful pics there. Of course, like other channel tours we were up close to the sea lions and birds on their respective islands. When we sailed around the lighthouse, the boat stopped so the guide could take your picture with the lighthouse in the background with your own camera. On the way back we were served coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies as well as a local liquor. During the ride the guide explained interesting information about the Tierra del Fuego and its history in both Spanish and English using large maps and photos as visuals. We even saw a two-day-old sea lion pup! This was a delightful morning and good value for the price! Would highly recommend this channel tour!!

We enjoyed the trip very much and also the liquor afterwards and the game with which the winner has to send a photo with the argentian flag!

    Great Beagle Channel boat trip!
Took this half day tour and thoroughly enjoyed the trip and the views. The crew on this trip were great and being on a smallish boat the captain got us in real close to the sea lions and also the lighthouse! All in all a great day out and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Best in town
We booked a half day boat tour of the Beagle Channel through our hotel and to be honest, didn’t have any expectations from the start. But it turned out to be such a great trip - very well organized and informative - our guide gave us an excellent overview of the local history and flora & fauna. Little unexpected touches like cookies & hot tea, and home made coffee liquor to celebrate the end of the trip made the excursion even better. Not to mention the boat was cozy and small, enough to accommodate 15-20 people max. So overall a great experience, would highly recommend this company!

    Highlight of our visit!
The tour was well done. We were hopeful to see penguins, but we were just a couple of weeks too late. We were delighted though, to learn there was a possibility to see whales! And we did! We were up close to islands of sea lions (or lobos marinas), birds (including cormorants which look very much like penguins), albatros, and even Andean condors. It was spectacular. I am already planning to go back!

    Disappointing
We were excited about this trip beforehand but it ended up being rather disappointing. The boat looks great from a distance but it is very tired and very dirty close up. The sea lions and seals were great as we got within 10 feet of them but the lighthouse is small and disappointing and the other sights were nothing real interesting. I will be fair and say that it was a cold damp day and the boat was full but overall we were not impressed. Nice enough people I will say.

    Almost a 5!
We really enjoyed our excursion with Patagonia Adventure Explorer and would give it 5 stars except that we didn't see any penguins. The boat was a good size to get very close to the island with seals, sea lions, the penguin like birds (except these fly) on the lighthouse island. There was plenty of room, despite everyone's eagerness to take pictures of the wildlife; we even saw and clicked on a condor flying over the one island that we hiked on. The crew was very nice and the guide very informative, with very good English language skills. The coffee, hot chocolate, Mate and cookies were welcome on a perfectly brisk but very sunny day.

    See, feel and experience
The team has set up a nice experience, Chris was our guide and he was very good, he told the story very interesting and in good English. The boat they use can come very close to the islands, what gives you the feeling you are on the island. The team on the boat is helpful and gives the guests enough time to experience the moment.

Amazing boat trip on the Beagle Channel
Definitely recommend! Christian, our guide, was friendly and gave us a lot of information about the area, flora and fauna. He also offered to take photos of people in key spots. The boat is small so will take you really close to the action (you get to see the sea lions and cormorants in various locations). We even got close enough to see a sea lion pup and a couple of males fighting! I think the highlight was a quick hike on one of the islands- the views from there were magnificent and I'm not sure other boats go there. The captain and the other person on the ship were very friendly too and apart from complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits gave us some homemade coffee liquor which was a really nice gesture. They also did a game where one person from the group gets to win an Argentinian flag :) Lovely trip and would definitely recommend to everyone visiting Ushuaia.

Great tour of the Beagle Channel
It's a nice smallish boat with about 20 passengers which gets up close to the islands and gives a lot of information about history, geography, flora and fauna. You will get off on one of the islands and walk around and this gives an extra-special experience. Christian was very informed and friendly.

    Enjoyable trip!
This trip is one I would definitely recommend. Our tour guide, Christian (Chris), was knowledgeable and very friendly. We got so close to the sea lions! It was amazing! The views from the island we went to and hike up were astounding. Absolutely beautiful. They gave us hot chocolate/coffee/tea and cookies, and they let us try the popular local drink of mate. Tastes like a very strong green tea- with enough caffeine to give you a buzz! We learned about the indigenous people and the history of Tierra Del Fuego.

Absolutely terrible company. We booked a Beagle Channel tour months ago for a cruise ship call. We knew the tour was due to leave at 10.30am, we were due in at 10.00am, but cruise ships can be late so we specifically checked to make sure they would wait if we were late. We have an email from them assuring us that they were putting on a "special departure for Celebrity cruisers at 10.30am, it will depend on the docking time" That is lifted directly from the email. Other disappointed people who had booked were similarly assured. We were slightly late, got off the ship immediately and were there by 10.40am only to be told by a rude and unhelpful staff member that they had already departed and that it was our fault for being late. Basically accused us of lying when we quoted the email from them. Far too late to book anything else so have a full day in Ushuaia now with nothing booked. The email from them apologised, but basically said they had lots of other people waiting for an opening so took them instead. Worst tour company we have ever experienced in 15 years of cruising.

Good morning, We are very sorry that your cruise arrived late, but as we explained to you yesterday, there were more passengers on the tour. The original departure was at 10:00 a.m., when you informed us that your cruise ship would arrive at 10:00 a.m., we changed the departure time to 10:30 a.m. so that you would arrive on time. 4 passengers in total (including you) had this inconvenience, but on the tour there were 22 more passengers waiting to leave, 12 of whom had a pick-up scheduled at 2:45 p.m. and would not arrive on time. Nor could we wait later than 10:30 a.m. because that would delay the 3:00 p.m. departure, which would imply affecting the schedule of the 26 passengers in the afternoon. Again we are sorry that your cruise was late, but we cannot control that.

We had an amazing time visiting the Beagle Channel! The meeting spot was easy to find at the port, and the staff were friendly. The tour was a small group so we could ask lots of questions and take pictures. Our guide Luciana was absolutely amazing!!! She was knowledgeable and passionate about the area and the wildlife. She explained to us visitors in English and Spanish speaking guests seamlessly so we were all included together. The gentlemen driving the boat were friendly and provided warm drinks. We saw seals and sea lions, stopped to see the lighthouse, and got off the boat for a quick walk. We are so happy to have picked this tour and met Luciana!

Of all the available trips this one included a short trekking over an island. The boat was quite small which we liked, not as touristic. Our guide was funny and had knowledge about the history of Patagonia and about the animals we saw. Definitely recommend this trip!

Good tour, nice length, quite well-organized. Our guide was very good to speak in both English and Spanish, my only suggestion would be if someone asks a question in either language, repeat and respond in both languages. Otherwise a really nice little cruise, little walkabout on one of the islands. Guide was very knowledgeable and informative.

This is a fantastic tour. Staff are very friendly, and though we don't know Spanish, it doesn't matter as they speak English as well. We had great fun on the boat, saw the famous light tower, sealions, birds that look like penguins, and even whales! for multiple times! it was fantastic, and the guide is very knowledgeable. There is also hot chocolate/tea/coffee and cookies on the boat. We had whiskey and took a picture of everyone. I won the lottery and got to bring the national flag on the boat home. The guide even sent us pictures of whales after the trip ends. It's an amazing experience. :)

Ushuaia has more exciting places to visit. Tour is very long - 4 h. Other boats offer a similar route on a faster boat with fewer people.
Our guide was very professional and friendly; he told us about the mountains, flora, and fauna of those places.

Good afternoon Anastasia! Thank you for sharing your experience with the traveling community. We are surprised by your complaint about the duration of the navigation, that is clarified in our description and our passengers know it before hiring the tour. The fastest tour offered in Ushuaia is on board catamarans (larger boats with a maximum of 200 passengers), its navigation lasts approximately 3:15 hours. In our case, working with small groups of passengers allows us to provide a more personalized experience and take the time necessary for each of our passengers to take photos or videos without rushing. We are very sorry that your rating is based on the duration of the tour when this is clarified before hiring it, but each comment is very important to us. We hope you have a happy new year! Greetings from all the staff ā˜ŗļø

This is a well-organised tour that left on time & was managed efficiently by the crew. Our guide, Maria-Jose, was brilliant at explaining the various landmarks & history of the area in both Spanish & English. We saw the lighthouse, seals, bird colonies and the short trek on the way back to Ushuaia was welcome. Good value & highly recommended.

I'm really glad i booked that tour. We had great weather and even were so lucky to see a humpback whale. But beside that is was really a moce tour. Our guide Chris gave us a lot of interesting information and was taking care of the group perfectly. Was a smaller group and so everybody got a perfect spot on the boat to see all the beautiful scenery and the animals. Really can recommend that trip. Good organisation, nice staff and great program. Thanks again for that great trip.

Our guide was great! Also, the captain spotted whales and went close to where they were and waited. The whales came so close to the boat and it’s rare in May to see them so what a great experience! Since it’s a smaller boat we were able to get very close the islands too. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

This was a great cruise and trek and exactly what we were looking for during our short stay in Ushuaia. Only mild criticism is that we were two of three English-speakers on the trip, along with 20+ Spanish speakers. The guide was primarily focused on the latter, although she made an effort to repeat her comments in English when she could.
