Lakes District 4x4 Full-Day Tour with Lunch from Ushuaia
USD 175.00
Overview
Head across the the Southern Andes of Tierra del Fuego on a 4x4 tour from Ushuaia that takes you to the Lake District's most remote and beautiful enclaves. Catch views of pristine mountain lakes and thick Patagonian forests as your rugged off-road vehicle crosses rivers and mud trails to get you there safely. This tour includes lunch with Patagonian red wine.
What to Expect
Visit the lakes district North from Ushuaia. One hour after pick up from your hotel, your vehicle crosses over the Andes Range for a view of Lake Escondido (Spanish for "hidden"), and rides along the coast from end to end. At the Northern portion of said lake, the travel plan leaves the paved road to enter the forest along sawmill paths that lead into the Fagnano lake and into adventure! This unique 4WD experience reaches a cozy refuge where an healthy, tasty, and abundant lunch will be served with Patagonian red wine, bottled water and soft drinks. The return time is the longest time spent in the vehicle: just 1 1/2 hours back to your hotel.

Fun and enjoyment never depend on the weather! The 4WD vehicles will go through the forest and across rivers defying muddy tracks, and by the shore of lake with unique views.

Occasionally, if the logistics would make it possible, one of the sections to or from the place where the 4x4 adventure takes place might be done in minibus for added comfort and convenience for the passengers. In these cases, you will hike 15 minutes through the forest to reach the vehicle that will bring you back to Ushuaia.

Great tour, expansive vistas and delicious food.

My son and I opted for this tour as a lighter stop on our itinerary of more physically demanding treks. It was fun and relaxing, with loads of beautiful landscape overlooks, most especially along the coastline of Lake Fagnano. The 4x4 aspect was pretty exciting...More
