At the park entrance there is a vehicle admission fee I think was 40 A Pesos but no one was there so we just drove through. Then our taxi dropped us off at the visitors entrance and the ticket windows are far to the right. They closed at 4:30pm and the last train was 4pm. The cost for the tickets was 800 A Pesos each for adults, 200A Pesos kids under 12. I could use my visa card but need your passport for ID!!. The train station is quite a hike from the ticket window too! We just made the last train to Diablo, and it is really too far to walk to Diablo. After the train ends you then walk raised piers over water until you reach the giant falls. Then we went back to the train depot for the last one back to the park entrance leaves around 5 pm. Bring water and snacks for the heat as Diablo trail is not very shaded. At the park entrance ticket window, have your tickets stamped before you leave to return the next day for half price! So the next morning we returned and walked the lower circuit which was more recommended than the higher circuit. And the lower circuit is very shaded. So GLAD we did! WOW! What views! Took us less than an hour with stops to complete! We felt the lower circuit had the best views of all, including views from the Brazilian side which we did later this same day. And are we the only people who didn't get soaked at all?

The hotel arranged for us to take a cab to the main entrance to the Falls as well as the time for our driver to pick us up later in the day (cab ride 1500 pesos return). We bot a ticket for entrance to all areas and also a ticket for the boat ride (yes you will get wet, but you dry quickly) and I highly recommend it. You receive a map when you buy your tickets which lays out everything for you so we were glad we didn't take a tour to get there. Very friendly park staff.

This should be on everyone's bucket list. But know it is very crowded. Try to get there as close to opening time as possible. Allow 2 days for the Argentina side (leave before it gets too crowded) and one for the Brazilian side. You'll enjoy it more if you do that. You can go to the Argentine side the next day for half price. Before you leave the first day say "second day" and the staff will show you where to go.
Make note that almost none of the staff understands very much English so if you go back the next day, when you go to the ticket window and show them your ticket, say "second day" to pay half price. Buying tickets ahead of time for either one day or 2 saves you neither time or money. Rven with your prepaid ticket, you still need to eait in the long line. South Americans are fond of long lines.

So worth it to see the other side! I had been to Foz do Iguazu previously. But wow it was so different seeing the Argentina side. Be forewarned- There is a lot of walking. We, 3, took a cab from Brazil side early and went to the Argentina side of Iguazu Falls. We had part of the group wait in the entrance line and it took no time to purchase the tickets. There is also an ATM that was working for other customers. We exchanged money on the Brazil side which was a mistake. They exchanged my dollars to Reales and then to Arg. Pesos so I lost a lot on that. I read that the Arg. side could have trouble with Credit card transactions but many were using them. I also purchased several things inside the park via C.C. and had no trouble. I was charged a far more favorable rate by M.C. than the casa de cambio. The lines for the trains can be long so get your tickets for the queue before touring each area if its a busy day. A guide suggested we visit lower, middle then Garganta in that order. I am very glad we asked. The driver picked us up after, toured 3 Fronteras and a wine shop before taking us back to hotel. He also accepted C.C. which was again a better exchange rate than the exchange places for dollars. We stayed on Brazil side since our flights were to/from there. The Argentina side can be quaint but the Foz side is so much bigger with many more options, in my opinion. The bridge into Paragua has a free trade zone where Americans don't need a visa (aprx. $150 each) but we did not have time to visit.

I bought my ticket through this agency on TripAdvisor, as I wasn't able to do so through the park's official website (which only allows you to enter passport numbers consisting solely of numbers, no letters). I received my ticket via email a couple of days before my visit and everything went smoothly. Minimal markup on the ticket price.

The falls are amazing. But I never received my ticket. I was unable to download the link. Just buy it at the gate. It is cheaper there anyway

We started our day in raincoats. It was raining the entire time we were there. The rain did not take away from the beauty of the falls! Would highly recommend going, rain or shine!

Spent an afternoon (time to walk around the town, visit Las Tres Frontiers (where the rivers meet and you can see Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay), then two days visiting the falls (one day from the Argentinian side and one from the Brazilian).
It was really worth going to both sides. They say Brazil for the views and Argentina for the experience and that is right, but if you only have a day, then I would definitely opt for Argentina. You walk right through the falls and there is much more variety.
The train that operates for the longer track on the Argentinian side seemed to often have long queues and waits, so better to walk if you can. Or to pick up your ticket and if there is a wait of an hour, that was enough time for me to do the lower circuit walk (quickly) and get back for the train. I then return to the lower curcuit later when it was quieter.Going through the border took quite a long time, but I had got the 9.30 bus and it was rush hour. Much quicker on the return. Buses to both sides of the falls go fom the bus station (gate 11 for Argentina and 10 for Brazil).
Beware the entrance process. I was charged a fee (a number of times!) for a card that was in fact refused and am still chasing that up (though this was a pretty common experience for me in Argentina - even in the bank of Galicia).

Getting on the bus ride to the falls is like any amusement park long lines. Double decker bus and city type. You can wait for a DD bus. Narrow paths at time for all the people last part of walkway over the water very misty. Elevator or stairs to the top Stairs not a hard climb
