About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- I3356COcarlo0 contributionsExceptional tour of Buenos Aires to hit the key tourist sites and more!Lucas, our tour guide promptly picked us up at our hotel and discussed the plan for the tour. Lucas' English is excellent and he understood everything we discussed. My wife's parents were travelling with us on this trip as it was their first time in Argentina, whereas it was the 5th visit for my wife and I. Lucas was able to accommodate some modifications we wanted to the plan as there were places we wanted to visit and do that weren't likely part of the regular tour. My mother-in-law has some mobility challenges, so he was able to help us better access some of the stops we made. Lucas' knowledge of the history of Argentina and Buenos Aires is astounding and make for great conversation between stops. Buenos Aires is a beautiful city, however, it is way more expensive than it was during our last visit. Inflation has skyrocketed in Argentina, but the situation appears to be stabilizing. On this tour you will get to visit some amazing points of interest, such as La Boca, and Puerto Madero, which is spectacular. A visit to the El Ateneo Grand Splendid, the world's most beautiful bookstore, which was formerly a theater. No trip to Buenos Aires would be complete without taking a tour of La Recoleta Cemetery and la Casa Rosada (Pink House) in the center of B.A., where Eva Peron (Evita) made her famous speech. Unfortunately, you can no longer enter the building to stand on the very balcony Eva stood on. Just a block away in the Plaza de Mayo, is the beautiful Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral, where Pope Francis, then known as Archbishop Jorge Bergoglio, led mass before moving to the Vatican in 2013. There were many other stops we made and points of interest that Lucas pointed out to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and the company of Lucas as our tour guide. I highly recommend this tour (and Lucas) to hit the key sites during your stay in Buenos Aires.Written 19 January 2025
- F6894UPjudithh0 contributionsFantastic tour and guideOur guide, Emi, was outstanding! His knowledge of his native city was extensive. I am handicapped and he was very sensitive to my needs, parking as close as possible to the places we visited. He listened to us, and while there were iconic locations he wanted us to see, he also took us shopping and to a local shop/restaurant for lunch. We had a wonderful day, gained new appreciation for beautiful Buenos Aires, and learned so much. I recommend this tour without reservation.Written 18 January 2025
- Drew-n-Sue0 contributionsTigre Delta with MaxIn most of my reviews, I talk about the benefits of private tours versus coach tours. This one was another good example. Private tours offer a level of flexibility and personal human connection that you cannot achieve in the large coach tours offered by most cruse lines. On a private tour, you will never be stuck on a bus waiting for those last two people to finally show up. If you are concerned with getting back to your ship on time, don't be. A good private tour operator stakes his reputation on making sure you get back in time. Since this was our second day in Buenos Aires and we had already done a city tour, we decided to go with Max from Depasseios on a tour of the Tigre Delta. He is a very personable and knowledgeable young man with very good English skills. He was assisted by a driver whose name, I am sorry, I do not remember. Max is an excellent guide, and he told us much about the area and its history. On the route to Tigre, he told us all about various buildings and places that we passed, including at a stop along the way at the Cathedral in San Isidro. Our principal stop was at the Puerto de Frutos, which is was formerly a port for importing fruit (as the name implies). It is now a shopping area specializing in various handicrafts. It is somewhat touristic but catering mostly to local visitors. The featured highlight of the trip was a scenic boast ride through the delta. Max rode along with us, and translated the narration which was only in Spanish; as I said, their focus is more on local visitors. Along the river next to Puerto de Frutos were museums, shops, kayak rentals and even an amusement park. The islands through the delta are home to campsites and parks and vacation homes. It sort of remined me of Lake Travis near Austin, or perhaps Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. After the boat ride, my wife wanted ice cream. Argentinian ice cream is very rich and delicious, almost like Italian gelato. Max and our driver found an excellent shop along the river, where all four of us enjoyed some wonderful ice cream. This is a perfect example of the flexibility of a private tour, as I mentioned earlier. On a coach tour, we could never have done this. Thank you, Max! And please pass my thanks to your colleague who drove (and if you can send us his name, I will update this review.)Written 18 January 2025
- Jan P0 contributionsWonderful intro to Buenos AiresAna was a storehouse of knowledge and very passionate about her city. This tour was a great introduction to Buenos Aires on our first day there. Wonderful overview of the historic areas. Although we saw many areas I never felt rushed. Ana even took some pictures of us.Written 18 January 2025
- wjpo0 contributionsOperator canceled tour late the day before scheduled tourWe booked tour through TripAdvisor over 3 months ago. A couple of days before tour I was asked if we could change dates. I said no. Late the day before they canceled us. If they had told me then they could not do it I might have been able to arrange something else. This is totally unacceptable. TripAdvisor you need to renove them from your website. You both are responsible for ruining our Buenos Aires stay.Written 15 January 2025
- cbadoug0 contributionsFantastic tour of Buenos Aires! We had a very informative and fun tour of Buenos Aires. Our tour guide, Emiliano, was very knowledgeable and full of interesting facts and historical context of what he showed us. The tour was a mix of driving around the various neighborhoods of Buenos Aires and getting out of the car to see the sights first hand. We even enjoyed a yummy lunch in La Boca. We highly recommend this tour and Emiliano!Written 10 January 2025
- 799danielan0 contributionsI feel cheated by the tour operator.I received a private WhatsApp message from the tour operator after inquiring about the city tour. They sold me a 5-hour tour with walking, sightseeing, and a boat ride, showing a picture of a big boat. However, they asked for direct payment instead of using Trip Advisor/Viator, which raised concerns. The tour cost $180 for two people. The driver was late, and the tour didn't last 4 hours (2 hours were spent driving). The driver put us on a public boat tour costing 8,000 pesos per ticket (under $8 USD). The boat tour lasted only 1 hour. Afterwards, the driver took us back. The tour didn't include a leisurely walk, church visit, or cobblestone walk as advertised. The driver's English was limited. A picture comparison shows what was promised versus what was delivered. I feel deceived and disappointed. Our time was wasted. If I use Uber for a ride to the boat, it will Cost us about $30 one way.Written 8 January 2025
- Donna C0 contributionsGreat tour, great guide! Would highly recommend.Ezequiel was an amazing tour guide. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel, on time. He understood our interests and was able to make adjustments along the way...we got way more out of this tour than we expected. We saw the oldest church in it's original form, a massive book store in a gorgeous building, and many more sights. He is extremely knowledgeable, not only about Buenos Aires, but his country in general. The Tigre Delta river tour was fantastic...yes it was super busy, it was a Saturday afternoon and many locals were on our boat, a really good sign that it's well worth it. Ezequiel joined us aboard and translated for us, which we really appreciated. We were on a vintage river boat that was very well kept and saw some really interesting sites as we navigated through the main river and side tributaries. Afterward, he introduced us to a local vendor who sells delicious hand made Empanadas...they were so good! If you're ever in the area, I would highly recommend this tour and Ezequiel!Written 4 January 2025

We both really enjoyed our tour of the city, our tour guide Juan, who speaks perfect English, had excellent knowledge in relation to all the sights and stops of the tour, delivering this knowledge in an informative and professional way, he was able to answer all of our questions.
We had the opportunity to take our time at each sight, Juan allowing us to get out and roam around and take in sights in our own time, we didn’t feel rushed or under pressure.
At the end of our tour, we needed a lunch recommendation, Juan was kind enough to recommend us a restaurant, which he then drove us too, we really appreciated this gesture.
I would fully recommend this tour, with a special thanks to Juan, a really knowledgeable and friendly tour guide

We had a four hour private tour of Buenos Aires with Juan and cannot recommend this enough to anyone visiting the City.
As with every tourist we had a list of the things we wanted to see and this tour made sure we ticked them all off the list and also to hidden gems we didn’t know about.
Juan arrived exactly on time and his car was very comfortable and more importantly he was a very careful driver which we realised was so important in such a busy city with a lot of traffic. We felt very safe with him.
Throughout the trip Juan was informative but not intrusive. His knowledge on the history of the city was extensive and interesting.
Thank you Juan for making us fall in love with your beautiful city.

I had just a few hours to stop in Buenos Aires on my way from Europe to Santiago de Chile…and Emiliano made this short time memorable. Everything worked out perfectly from pick up till drop off at the airport. Emiliano told me a lot about history, culture, current development, politics, sports…he showed me the authentic face of BA…with stops around the city, walks and tastings of dulce de lece and empanadas…it was a wonderful experience…I highly recommend Emiliano and hope to be back soon.

I would not recommend this tour if you do not speak Spanish. I booked this tour two months ago and they never told me that their guides don't speak English. Although very nice, the guide didn't speak English. Instead they sent a translator with him. So he would speak in Spanish for 10 minutes and she would summarize in a few sentences. It was extremely frustrating and a waste of my time. It was very hard to understand what we were seeing. I would try to ask a question. She would translate. He would reply. She would translate. A lot was lost in all of this translation. The only time that I learned something about the place that I visited was by listening in to the "Free Walking Tours". This is a very expensive tour and I believe it was very unprofessional to not tell me that none of their guides speak English. This tour is listed as bilingual guides. That is not the same as a non English speaking guide and a translator. I will be taking the Free Walking Tour instead to learn something about Buenes Aires. I complained to the company and got no response. Once they had my money I never heard back from them.

We had a wonderful tour of Buenos Aires with Emiliano - he was the best guide and in my opinion made the tour so much more worth it because he was our guide! He really knew all about the city and the history of the city and had so much pride talking about a Buenos Aires. He knew all the best stops to take us and never rushed us. He was also very flexible with our plans. I felt we got to see so much of the city this way by taking a private car tour because we were on our own schedule. If you have a very short amount of time in the city or just want a good introduction at the beginning of your stay, I highly recommend taking this tour. And ask for Emi as your guide!!!

Me and three of my co workers were in Buenos Aires for work and found ourselves with a day off! What better way to get to know the city than to hire a private tour guide. We had the pleasure of being shown around by Emiliano and he was nothing short of exceptional. Very personable, honest and funny! He had so much knowledge about the city and furthermore tailored the tour to our desires! I highly recommend booking this tour and if you’re lucky enough to have Emiliano, you won’t be disappointed!!

The tour was a great way to start our visit of Buenos Aires. Mariano, our tour guide, was very knowledgable and in only four hours was able to show us all the must see locations of the city and gave suggestions for things we could do on our own the following days. We started the tour by being picked up at our apartment and we ended by being dropped off at the restaurant where we had booked our dinner. Great service, very much recommended!

We had a day to spend in Buenos Aires. After reading the reviews here, we decided to go with a small personalized tour guide instead of the large tour buses or hop-on-hop-off type buses. We’re sure glad we did. Our tour guide, Juan, spent most of the day with us, taking us to major landmarks and explaining a ton about Buenos Aires history.
Because this was a personalized tour, it was easy to ask questions. The best part was Juan pulling over and stopping whenever we saw something we wanted to take a better look at.
We expected to do a lot more walking in this tour, but the bulk of the tour is in a car. We still got to do a fair bit of walking at the various stops, though, and because it was such a hot day, being able to pop back into the air conditioned car was a real treat and very appreciated.
If you’re thinking about signing up for a tour around the landmarks of Buenos Aires, consider these folks. Spread out among our group of four, the price was reasonable. It might be more than the cheapest bus tours, but you’re getting personalized service and not wasting time waiting in line to pack into a bus with 100 other people. What’s your time worth?
Thanks for the great tour, Juan!

Since entrance fees are not included, is it ok if I just have a credit card to pay for such things? Or do I need to have cash with me?

We paid with a credit card. Found they are widely accepted all over Buenos Aires. In addition, we tipped our guide with American dollars which are preferred due to the raging inflation.

I use a small travel scooter ( that folds and fits in the trunk of a car)because my walking is limited to a few steps. I am able to climb stairs with a railing. Is it possible to do this tour?
Written 19 November 2022
Hi there. I believe you will be able to do the tour just fine. If I were you I would let the tour guide know ahead of time so they can prepare appropriately. I don’t remember doing much climbing of stairs at all. Either way, the tour guide will make sure you have a great experience with limited stairs, or none at all. We walked at many of the stops, but nothing a scooter couldn’t handle. My tour guide was very caring, and you may consider using him. His name is Fernando Alvarez.

We are wondering if we can eliminate a couple of the stops so we have more time at San Telmo? We will be there on a Sunday in February and want to enjoy the outdoor market longer. We would not need to stop of Recoleta cemetery, we will already have been there. AND can we be picked up and dropped off at the cruise port, or at least picked up?
