About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- CatalinaBusch0 contributionsVery interesting walking tour!!Juan Manuel was ver knowledgeable and flexible with our stops. He taught me a lot of cool facts about Argentinian history, tango and art of the city. I absolutely recommend this tour and Juan as your guide!!Written 2 September 2024
- Amanda-awayagain0 contributionsDancing fantastic. Service poor.It was not the location my travel company had adver so i was disappointed when we arrived at the location. And then i was put on a table with strangers from a different country which as a single person was awkward. Had to share wine with them. I ordered beef cheeks, was given fish. When returned it , still didn't get the beef cheeks but a milinase I think they struggle with English, although I pointed as well as used Spanish. However the dancing was fabulous. But, long speeches, clearly with jokes all in Spainish so the show felt long for non Spanish speaker. Some people left early because of that. At end I felt I was being hassled to tip. The others on my table had already left before the end without tipping and because I didn't get what I ordered I didn't tip but there was a bit of pressure to tip. I do tip normally but I felt let down because I wanted the beef checks but was given fish then milanese. Also no communication about transport back to hotel so left milling around. But. , over all I was glad I went. The tango was fantasticWritten 2 March 2024

- eliascabral0 contributionsExcellent experience. I recommend it 100%The show was excellence. It's a complete show (tango, singing, music, acting). Congratulations to the actors! Furthermore, the entire environment is very striking. I recommend =)Written 14 September 2023
- francesadlin0 contributionsExcellent tour guideAlberto, our tour guide, was excellent and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed his company and all the information he gave us throughout the entire afternoonWritten 10 August 2023
- FernandoGiorgetti0 contributionsGreat tour and experienceNice tour and excellent guide. The tour goes through the history of the club. You can see the trophies, shirts, pictures and etc. For an extra fee you can go into the field as well. Thanks to our guide, Juan Manuel, for all the explanation.Written 1 August 2023
- Compass8139180 contributionsMore show - less Tango.Purchased from a local tour company. Great service. Responsive to text messages, organized passenger pick up and drop off. Food was great! I had potato and leak soup, a massive steak with chorizo, and lemon mousse The show itself started very late- around 10:45PM- finishing close to 11:45 PM. The orchestra, singers, and dancers were all talented. It was more of a show than a tango. There was very little actual tango and the current show is about women being forced into a brothel. I always thought I’d Tango as a more romantic- less sex/y stripper kind of dance. I was looking for more classic tango. It was supposed to include a 30 minute tango lesson at the end, but the buses were ready to depart and we were pretty tired. To be fair- the website does not include the class in the price categories.Written 17 July 2023
- mariesY5531SD0 contributionsCasablanca Tango ShowThis show was recommended by a Buenos Aires locale. Small, intimate theatre in the heart of San Telmo. Not a bad seat in the theatre. Excellent show with live orchestra and the dinner was surprisingly good.Written 10 July 2023
- Christina F0 contributionsManaging company only wants your moneyThe evening of the tour there was a downpour, complete with thunder and lightning. I reached out to the tour guide and asked if the tour was still happening or could be rescheduled. The tour guide said he would check with the managing company and get back to me. This was an hour before the scheduled tour. He got back to me rather quickly and said it was still on and that the company would not issue refunds or rescheduling. We met at the designated spot and the tour began in the rain. Within minutes the rain became a downpour and we took shelter under an awning. An employee of the business we stood in front of told us we could not stand there, we had to purchase something or move. We found another spot. The guide tried to share some history of the area and the city but the storm was too loud and we couldn't hear him even though the only ones touring were myself and a friend. Along the route to the first stop there was no shelter from the rain and with the wind it was tearing up our umbrellas.I asked what was on the menu and the tour guide listed a bunch of sandwiches from some food trucks that he said would have no shelter from the rain. At that point my friend and I were freezing and soaked and sandwiches did not seem like a good enough reason to keep trying to walk in a storm. We thanked the guide and said we were going to end the tour and try to get back safely to our Air BnB. I felt bad for the guide but he wasn't very enthusiastic or energetic and not being able to hear him, plus sandwiches that are found every 200 m throughout the city was not appealing. It might have been a good tour in better weather and this review might have been different with the option to reschedule but the managing company basically wanted the money, and wasn't interested in making sure it was a pleasurable experience. I would not recommend booking this tour or any other under the same management company.Written 5 July 2023
- Przemcio10 contributionsGreat tango show, average food, dishonest pricingA really great tango show. Very professional, performed with enthusiasm, nicely presented. Highly recommended! Dinner less than average. Food ok, served with cheap wines. The server was pretty good until just at the end of the dinner when he asked for a $10 tip per person, on a $50 dinner price. So 20% tip for an ok service at highly overpriced (for Argentina) dinner. You can eat well at a good restaurant for US$60-70 for two. Skip it if you can. Just the show. The pricing feels like a scam. The hotel told us it would be US$120 per person for the show and dinner ($50), and peso price will be quoted based on the credit card rate (mep rate). When we came, we were told that the peso price is calculated on a much higher rate (way more than the going “blue” market rate). Converting this back to dollars at the going market rate the price for two was about $30 more. Overall not a very big deal, but we felt duped. A round trip transportation is included, nice.Written 29 March 2023

Pickup was late and disorganized. It was almost impossible to reach someone when the time for pickup came and went. Once on board, the tour guide was knowledgeable but seemed distracted and bothered to have to give us information. There were only 3 of us who got the lunch included option. The restaurant seemed to be deciding on the moment what that was. It was so slow that we barely had any time to look around the area before boarding the boat. The boat was waiting for our group and was haphazardly loaded. The cruise had a pre-recorded commentary that was informative. The way back to the city ended up taking extra long because the tour guides decided to add a stop to a wine shop. If you weren’t shopping for wine, you were stuck on the bus for an extra 30 minutes. I got back to the hotel ar 4:15 fuer leaving around 9.

Thank you for your comments and your time.
We are deeply sorry that you did not enjoy the tour.
We would like to clarify that the delay in the pick up was due to the fact that in your reservation we had indicated that you would be staying at the SHERATON CONVENTION CENTER, that is why we had sent you a message through the reservation centre indicating that we would look for you there and requesting your room number to locate you more quickly.
But on the day of the tour you called us indicating that you had gone to the Regente Hotel on Suipacha Street, so the shuttle picked you up first at the Sheraton and then had to come back to pick you up at the Regente again.
This delay was not our fault but your change of hotel for the pick up which you informed us of on the day of the tour, which caused the delay.
You should always keep in mind, as we mentioned in the reservations, that when you have other passengers to pick up and there is a lot of traffic in the city on weekdays, the pick up may be delayed.
We have always been in contact both by messenger and by phone, when you contacted us we informed you that there was a slight delay and that we would be looking for you between 9/940am. These are always the pick up times.
Sometimes there may be delays due to traffic, road closures or because a passenger is delayed or has a problem. For example on the day of your tour one of our passengers had lost his passport and we had to go back to the hotel to pick him up.
As for the tour, the duration is correct, it is from 9am to 4pm approx, which is 7/8 hours.
As for the lunch, it is always like that, we can not manage the times of the preparation of the food in the restaurant, sometimes they can take a little longer to prepare the dishes because they prepare the food at the moment, it is not that they have it cooked or they only have to heat it and it is not Mc Donalds or a fast food chain.
For example, the classic tour lasts from 9am to 1pm (4 hours), the one you booked lasts twice as long.
As for the wine shop, it is a stop we make for a small wine tasting, it is included in the tour, it is free of charge and it is optional. If the passenger does not want to go down to taste the wines or buy them, he/she is not obliged to do so. But as it is a group tour, not a private tour, you always have to respect the other passengers who want to buy and taste Argentinean wines.
This is up to the taste of each passenger, the tour is always done so that the whole group can do, walk around, take pictures and enjoy the tour.
We will take into account your comments to improve these points.
We would also like to apologize for the delay or confusion in the pick up.
On the other hand, if you are still in BUENOS AIRES, we would like to offer you a free walking tour for these days or a discount in any of our tours.
Thank you and again we apologize.
