Overview
Get personalized attention and enjoy a flexible itinerary on this 3-hour Pilanesberg National Park private game drive. Travel through the pristine wilderness with a guide to track and find Africa's "Big Five" game animals in an open safari vehicle. Learn about the biology, behavior, and conservation efforts of the park's inhabitants: buffalo, elephant, rhino, leopard, and lions, among others.
What to Expect

Experience a private game drive through Sun City’s neighbour, the Pilanesberg National Park. An experienced field guide will collect you from your hotel at Sun City Resort or for Day Visitors from the Welcome Centre and accompany to the park.  Enjoy this spectacular reserve on a three hour drive all to yourselves. During the drive your field guide will keep you well informed on the park, the game and their primal habits.  You will provide bottled water, however you are more than welcome to bring your own refreshments along.

The park is home to the Big Five and nearly every mammal of South Africa. Keep your eyes peeled for lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo, among others. There are also plenty of birdlife, trees and indigenous plants to learn about. Enjoy the abundance of the African bushveld on this game drive.

The animals make up for the less than stellar customer service

Because the shuttles at Sun-City were running late (or not running), we were late for our 5:30AM reservation. The guide needed the forms signed before we could get on the truck adding to the frustration of the other guests waiting to embark. The driver of...More

Fantastic Experience - Highly Recommended

Friendly knowledgeable guides, inexpensive rates for a potentially amazing experience. These are people that know Pilanesberg, and give you the best possible chance of Big 5 sightings. We paid R555 for each of our 4 drives. Group size ranged from 2 (just us) on 2...More

It will probably be pretty hot in the park at 4:30PM in January. I don't know how many animals will be stirring about. I would think 6:30PM would be better of the two choices. In my opinion, the early morning 6AM-8AM time... More
