Overview
Follow the historical Sani Pass, a bridal path between Lesotho and Kwazulu Natal, on a 4WD adventure tour. With a guide providing historical and cultural information as you travel, learn about the area and make a lunch stop midday at the Sani Mountain Lodge, the highest pub in Africa. Learn about the people of Lesotho and their modern lives through a stop at a living Basotho village, complete with optional tastes of homemade bread and beer.
What to Expect

You will first meet at the tour office in the Trout Walk Centre at 9am, or you can request a complementary pickup from your hotel or accommodation. The Tour departs at 9:30am and takes approximately 2.5 hours to reach the summit, climbing a grand 2,874 meters above sea level, stopping at breath taking view sites along the Sani Pass and the two border posts: The South African Border Control and Lesotho Border Control.

Once at the Top of the Sani Pass, you will enjoy lunch at the highest Pub in Africa, The Sani Mountain Lodge. Lunch varies from R55-R150pp depending on your preference from the menu.

After lunch your experienced mountain guide will take your to a Basotho village, where you will learn about Lesotho and its people, the hardy mountainous Basotho folk. Enjoy traditional beer and homemade bread on request.

The tour will end in Underberg between 4pm and 4:30pm, depending on the amount of wildlife spotted along the way down the Sani Pass.

Stunning and save tour

Martin drove us safely up and down the Sani Pass, a tour really worthwhile with a visit to a typical Lesotho hut and the Mountain Top Chalet.
