About
The Addo Elephant National Park is home to the densest population of elephant in the world and is now the third largest national park in South Africa. Apart from elephants, other mammals in Addo include lion, the endangered Cape buffalo, black rhino, zebra, jackal, warthog and numerous species of antelope. Enjoy a full-day Addo Park tour in an air-conditioned vehicle with an experienced English speaking driver guide.

What to expect
  • After morning pickup at Port Elizabeth, relax your luxury air-conditioned vehicle as your guide drives about 45 minutes to reach Addo Elephant National Park. Your driver-guide explains the habits of the animals that live in the national park, which is home to the 'Big 7' animals: the African elephant, black rhinoceros, cape buffalo, African lion, and African leopard, as well as the great white shark and southern right whale (found off the Algoa Bay coast). Look for other resident animals as well, including the hyena, zebra, suricate (meerkat), jackal, warthog, and different antelope species. The enormous park stretches from the semi-arid Karoo area in the north, over the Zuurberg Mountains, through the Sundays River Valley, and south to the coast between Sundays River and Bushman’s River, and includes the Bird and St Croix Island groups. After eight hours, your tour ends with return to Port Elizabeth.

This is a great place and very easy to get to from Port Elizabeth. There are so, so, so many elephants! Photo op at every turn!
