        Excellent guides!
Max and Jade were excellent guides on our afternoon snorkeling trip. They took us to the right places to see black-tipped sharks, sting rays, green turtles. It was an excellent afternoon. Leo took over as captain for the sunset cruise and he, too, was an excellent captain/guide. It was a full day and so much fun!

        Birthday Under the Sea
The weather was on our side when we sailed on the beautiful island of Moorea. Our snorkeling guides were so kind, welcoming and informative of Tahitian culture and the wildlife that we’d see among our snorkeling excursions. The fruit they treated us to was fresh and delicious, and the mai tais were yummy, too! I’d definitely do this excursion again, and I enjoyed the private catamaran with just my friends and I.

        Great family catamaran tour!
We had such an amazing trip with Captain Dylan and our guide Ivey. The weather started a bit rainy and overcast - but we chased the good weather and ended up having tons of sun! The morning tour seems to leave a bit earlier than some of the other companies’ tours, so you feel like you are the only boat on the lagoon at times. We loved that Ivey went into the water and literally took our 8 year old daughter by the arm to help navigate the coral and feel comfortable in the water. Would highly recommend!

        Terrific Outing - Highly Recommended!
We booked this for a family trip of two couples, and had a terrific time. The crew was super friendly, the ride was comfortable, the water was amazingly clear, and the logistics for pickup from our hotel and drop off worked flawlessly. We would offer this trip our highest recommendation, and would book it again without hesitation. If you go, consider buying a quality case for underwater pictures with your iPhone. The flimsy ziplock bag type will certainly keep your phone dry, but they won’t take any good pictures. Also, make sure you take lots of sunscreen and re-apply. For the guys, if you wear a swim shirt (highly recommended), I’d recommend tucking it in to avoid a burn.

We saw spinner dolphins, sharks, whales, sea birds, and a beautiful sunset over the mountains. Leo was an excellent host and served delicious cocktails. Would highly recommend this tour!

This is a must do if you love the tiki catamaran designs by wharram. They’re based on Polynesian sailing craft and this boat does not disappoint. We had an excellent day out and the conditions were perfect. Thanks so much to Leo for being a great Captain!

Best tour with snorkeling in Moorea
We booked a half day tour and communication with host was great. Everything worked as described. We had the tour with captain Via and snorkeling guide Jade. It was a very pleasant experience. Jade was very knowledgeable and comforted our 9 year old in the water. I can recommend the private tour to have a stress free and relaxed experience. We loved swimming with sting ray and other sharks. 4 hours went by way too fast.

        Perfect Private Group Tour
We booked the private half day tour and from booking, everything was super easy. Communication was speedy and the team were so friendly and helpful. We weren't staying at a resort so did not have transfers booked. However, on the morning of our trip, our hire car did not start. I contacted Liza on whatsapp who very quickly arranged a taxi for us. They even then arranged a taxi to meet us after the boat trip to take us back to our rental. Such an amazing service. The trip itself was incredible. Louie was super knowledgeable and we loved chatting with him. We go to see amazing coral and fish, sharks and rays. We were not rushed at any point. He offered us the option of going to snorkel the underwater tiki's or if we were more confident in deeper water and swimming, then to go and see some turtles. We saw LOADS. It was amazing. The day ended with a beautiful fruit platter and maitai prepared by the captain. I highly recommend this trip. I don't know what the maximum capacity is for a group booking - there was 4 of us and we booked private and felt the boat was the right size. Any more than 6-8 and it may start to feel a little cramped.

        Wonderful Day on Taboo
Everything we were hoping for! Louis was very friendly and told us all about the island and what to expect snorkeling, and snorkeled with us on 2 of the 3 stops. Vincent was a great captain. They both made us so comfortable. It was a very relaxing day with beautiful snorkel sites and beautiful scenery as we traveled around. They also provided a nice fruit plate and juice. Also thank you to Liza at Voila Moorea - I had questions before booking and she was very helpful :-)

10/10 would do again! Beautiful & relaxing
We had an absolutely wonderful time on this sunset cruise! We drove ourselves and didnt realize we needed to look for the Voila Moorea truck and they reached out, but our phones weren't working. However, even with being late, they still were very cordial and accommodated us. The boat ride itself was so nice! We sat inside for a bit, then on the nets and we stood up to take pictures. Our captain shared interesting history as we passed different areas and made us drinks during our stops. He was very knowledgable about the islands and the waters. The views were absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking. It was so relaxing. We would recommend this to any of our friends!

        Great experience, beautiful sunset views
My wife and I had a private sunset cruise with Captain Leo and had such a great, memorable experience! First off, it was a stunning way to see Moorea. Looking back at the mountain peaks as the sun begins to cast longer shadows, we were left in awe of this beautiful island. We enjoyed a couple rum drinks as we made a first stop in Cook’s Bay, and we learned a bit about the local history from Leo. After, we went out past the reef and did some sailing, feeling absolutely relaxed as we watched the sun begin to set. We made another stop in Opunohu bay and Leo offered to take some photos of us at just the right moment as the sun went down. Captain Leo was so kind, and full of information as well. We vibed really well with him, and would absolutely recommend doing a private cruise.

My wife and I are in FP for our honeymoon, and snorkeling during our stay in Mo'orea was one thing we were most excited about. We wanted to swim with the blacktips and rays, and see the coral gardens and the under water tikis.

Voila Moorea and the crew of the catamaran Taboo checked all those boxes impeccably. Being a sailing vessel VS a motorboat was also a huge point for me. Unfortunately not enough wind to sail (better for snorkeling though!) but the boat is the same and you can hang out on the open deck or cargo net at the front.

Captain Max is a skilled sailor who kept us well in hand. Jade was an amazing guide and together they pointed out dolphins and a sea turtle as we were underway to our first stop, slowing down so we could get the best possible view.

Jade told us how to safely and respectfully view the sea life which was abundant at our first stop just where the deep channel turns to beautiful shallows. Throughout the tour she gave us information about a variety of topics, history, culture, and ecology.

The last stop, the underwater tikis, were very cool. They are modern tributes (1998) made to reflect originals which are no longer visible, and Jade told us all about them. Finally, Jade recorded a great video of me backflipping off the deck, which is a great memory to share! Leo then drove us from the final mooring back to our car.

A huge mauruuru to all of the Taboo crew!

Our captain, Max, was very friendly and we felt safe the entire time. Our snorkeling guide, Jade, was extremely knowledgeable and quite funny. We would absolutely recommend taking this excursion over any of the other ones. They limit the boat to only 8 people so you have plenty of attention from the crew. We will definitely be back next time! Thank you Jade and Max!

We woke up to dark clouds building on the horizon and became pretty pessimistic about the reality of doing a 4 hour tour on the water with kids (6 & 8 very prone to cold), so much so I actually cancelled the tour at one point. The downpours subsided and Liza reached out 1 last time to make sure we wanted to cancel, she assured us the water was warm and the the boat had a covered area. We were darn skeptical but withdrew our cancellation and decided to go for it.

As we boarded the Taboo, the rain began again. It was a downpour among the hardest I’ve seen in my life ever. The rain continued on our way out to our first location. The boat was indeed covered and the kid’s remained dry and warm in their swimsuits and raincoats. The rain subdued some as we entered the water at the first location. All parental nerves subsided as we swam with the rays and sharks. It was awesome. The rain came off and on throughout the day, it was fine, didn’t see a shiver once, I was shocked to be honest. Everyone had a great time, guides were wonderful.

We had a party of 4 adults and 2 kids, I would highly recommend the private tour as we had a very personalized experience. Even if it’s raining… GO!! I don’t think you’ll regret it.

I was excited about this trip and it did not disappoint. We saw many stingrays and black-tipped reef sharks, loads and fish and many different types, sea turtles, and as an added bonus, we got lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins that came to "play" with the boat as we started out. The captain was wonderful at spotting marine life and taking us to see it. Our snorkeling guide was very friendly and helpful. Also, the lady who drove the shuttle was very sweet and answered alot of questions about life on the island. This place seemed like the best option (under $800), and after the experience, I can say that seeing other people packed like sardines on huge boats, it's definitely the most enjoyable way to go. Sincerely kind staff, solid equipment, and fun boat (yummy fruit/drink, too). It's a must-do!

From the initial booking through the actual excursion, communication with the operator was superb. We knew exactly what to expect and where to meet in this new port (to us).

We swam with the stingrays, and sharks, the amazing coral garden snd the sunken tiki statues.

Louis and Captain Vame (so?) were amazing. They explained shark and stingray behaviors to us, the contribution and importance of coral reefs to the environment and the history of the island and sunken tiki statues.

We were served fresh fruit, juice and a Mai tai.

We most highly recommend this outstanding experience.

This is such a relaxed tour with a super laid-back vibe. Just perfect. Our tour took us to 3 different snorkeling spots where we got to swim with sharks and rays, explore coral reefs and even check out some sunken tiki statues! Throughout the tour we were offered fresh fruits and drinks (how can you beat that?). Highly recommend this tour for people who want to explore Moorea from underwater because you’ll get a great feel for what types of animals live around the island, not to mention some great views of the mountains from the water. Small groups make it great to make some new friends along the way. You can’t miss this one!

The guides were extremely friendly and attentive. They gave us delicious fruit, juice and a mai tai. The first spot was shallow where you were able to stand in the water and snorkel to see the rays & the sharks. The guides also did a good job to get us to the first spot before everyone and also caught the attention of the animals so they would come near us. You do not need to know how to swim for the first spot. However, the second stop (snorkeling with fish) and the third stop (seeing the underwater statues), you need to be a strong swimmer. The currents are very strong. Overall, this was a great experience! Totally worth it due to seeing and touching the sting rays!

Four of us spent the morning with Louie aboard the Taboo. Amazing day! I can’t remember the captain’s name, but he took us to see spinner dolphins and then the three planned stops to snorkel. Great day with black tip sharks, sting rays, all sorts of fish, and then seeing the Tiki statues. A variety of fruit for our snack. Louie was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about marine life and Tahitian/Polynesian culture. If you pay attention, you’ll learn a thing or two. Louie and the captain were great with making sure we had anti-fog for our masks, helping us up the ladder when needed, and all around polite, professional and fun guides. Highly recommend Voila Moorea!!
