The sailing trip was great! The beach we went to was beautiful! The drinks and foods were very good! The snorkeling was average! The sunset was AMAZING!

I would definitely recommend for a family (our kids are 11 and 13) and they loved jumping off the boat, snorkeling, playing on the beach that felt deserted and the food/drinks!

The crew was great!

The crew was great and was always making sure we had a drink or anything else we wanted. Snorkeling was excellent and the sunset on the way back was amazing. The crew spotted out whales and dolphins for us on the trip.

What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon in Costa Rica. Thank you for the excellent review. We agree that the snorkeling is great and the crew is amazing, always spotting whales and dolphins before sailing toward the most gorgeous Pacific Ocean Sunset imaginable. Thank you and "PURA VIDA"

We booked this trip through Tripadvisor and found the whole experience to be amazing. Although they did not have transport from our specific hotel, they made arrangements easily for us. Unfortunately we went on a day when the ocean bottom was stirred up, so no snorkeling for us. Oh well that happens. We did however spend time at a secluded beach and explore some caves. It made for a great afternoon any way. The crew on the boat are awesome and come around frequently to make sure you are all good. The BBQ chicken they served was amazing. I highly recommend this trip and if you can spend the evening in Coco Beach after.

We are so happy that you enjoyed our sunset, sailing, snorkeling tour and really appreciate the positive review. We agree that the crew is efficient, friendly and attentive. Where else can you spend time on a secluded beach that is only accessible by boat? We also agree that the Bar-B-Que chicken is outstanding as well as the other food and unlimited drinks. A great afternoon for all ages and the gorgeous Pacific Ocean sunsets year around. It doesn't get any better than to be under sail as the sun sets over the Pacific. The colors are breathtaking. Please hurry back and visit us again. PURA VIDA

This was one of our favorite things we did on our recent trip to Costa Rica. Our cruise actually left from Coco Beach (not Hermosa). The bus picked us up from our hotel lobby which was super convenient. It was 20 mins or so to the beach and the catamaran. You take a dinghy a short distance out to the catamaran. There were probably 50 people on our cruise. We spent a couple hours cruising around the coast before stopping to snorkel. Everything was gorgeous... we loved the water, wind and views. We enjoyed talking to other travelers too. There wasn't a ton to see with the snorkeling but we still enjoyed it. Then we got back on the boat for a delicious mid afternoon dinner. Then we cruised back to the bay and saw an unbelievable sunset. There was only 1 child in our group, but I would've felt comfortable taking my kids and think they would've loved it.

Thank you for your review. Yes, we pick up at Cocoa Beach (Playas del Coco) and Flamingo. We are not surprised that many of our travelers rate this tour as the highlight of their vacation in Costa Rica. We are very happy that you enjoyed the catamaran sunset sailing cruise. It is one of our favorite tours and we take our children and our grandchildren on the cruise very often. They enjoy the snorkeling, beach and the dolphins that always follow and lead the boat especially when we are under sail and yes, the sunset over the Pacific is always gorgeous year around. We certainly agree with you about the food and open bar. There is no shortage of excellent food and drinks for both adults and youngsters and the crew and their service is outstanding. We appreciate you taking your time to write this great review and accurate description. Warm regards & PURA VIDA

Thank you for the positive review, so glad you enjoyed the Sunset Sailing Cruise. The sunset over the Pacific is gorgeous, breathtaking and memorable and we agree with you that the food is well prepared and delicious. This is one of our most popular tours and the one I take my grandchildren on. They really love the sailing and snorkeling. They also love our Sloth, monkey & Waterfall tour. Thank you again for the review & hurry back. PURA VIDA

We absolutely loved our Snorkel and Sunset Cruise. We were picked up in front of our hotel on time and driven a few miles to Playa del Coco, where we boarded a skiff and then the catamaran. The catamaran was clean and the captains were super friendly. We cruised to the snorkel spot that had a little cave to explore as well. There was plenty of time to snorkel and explore the little island. When we returned to the boat, there was a beautifully prepared lunch for everyone, including homemade chocolate chip cookies! My son said the BBQ chicken was the best he'd had in Costa Rica. The cruise back was perfectly timed to the sunset. Fabulous. A "must do" in Guanacaste. Pura Vida.

You are correct, this is a "Must Do" if you are on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. We are so happy that you had such an enjoyable day. I have done this sailing cruise many times and I never tire of taking my kids and grand kids on it. Where else can you see the spinner dolphins riding the bow and playing in the wake while you are under full sail on a 75 foot catamaran. The food is good, drinks are cold and you can fish, snorkel, swim, relax and then see the most gorgeous sunset that you could ever imagine. Watch for the green flash (I have seen it twice) You are correct about the crew, they are wonderful, love their job and it certainly shows. Thank you for taking your time to write and hurry back. Thank you for taking your time to post a review. I agree with you that this is a "beautiful" experience. Sailing on the Pacific Ocean, watching spinner dolphins in the wake, snorkeling, eating, drinking, year around gorgeous sunsets. It' can't get any better than this. We did this tour our last afternoon in Playas del Coco. It was great! the trip to the snorkeling spot was gorgeous, we saw lots of marine life and were able to snorkel for a long time with not pressure, it was very relaxing. The food was great, we had an open bar with great music and a friendly crew. My two favorite things were the snorkeling and the sunset views, on the way back we saw dolphins and turtles.
