Our guide (Randall) has a very good knowledge of his country. I definetely recommend this tour if you’re interested in the wildlife of Costa Rica.
With volcanoes, waterfalls, and rainforest right its doorstep, La Fortuna is ideally situated for an outdoor adventure. This small-group tour visits three natural Costa Rican wonders in one day, with the chance to hike around Arenal Volcano, swim beneath La Fortuna Waterfall, and spot wildlife as you walk the Arenal Hanging Bridges.
Your tour begins with morning pickup from your La Fortuna hotel. Traveling aboard an air-conditioned minivan, set out on the around 30-minute drive into Arenal Volcano National Park.
On arrival, follow your guide on an easy 2.5-hour hike. The scenic trail leads to the base of the Arenal Volcano, where you can marvel at dry lava fields and enjoy volcano views.
Back on the bus, transfer to another natural wonder, La Fortuna Waterfall. Climb the 500 steps down to the base of the waterfall, where you can cool off with a swim beneath the falls.
The final adventure is Arenal Hanging Bridges, a canopy tour that takes you deep into the rainforest. The course of 16 bridges affords sweeping views over Arenal Volcano National Park and Arenal Lake, as well as the chance to spot native wildlife and exotic birds.
Your tour ends with drop-off back at your La Fortuna hotel.
