On-line booking of a train trip (via China's fantastic high speed train network) via Travel China Guide from Shanghai honqiao railway station to Funing (north east of Shanghai - Funingdong station (Funing East station)) was fast, very easy and cost effective. Website is extremely clear. No paper tickets are issued, your passport serves as the ticket and this appeared to work well in China. Railway officials are very helpful and boarding trains is very efficient and fast!

Visiting the Shanghai Tower was the highlight of my trip to Shanghai! As the tallest building in China and the second tallest in the world, this architectural marvel truly lives up to its reputation. Our tour guide Martin was very knowledgable and helpful. He extended his stay till the end of the tour even though there was some confusion with the times by the agent. Martin did a great job explaining the sites we visited. A great day in Shanghai.

Ryen did an amazing job as our guide. He was able to Tell us a lot of interesting information about all the buildings and had also a lot of interesting facts about china. The Tour was very well planed and He gave us a lot of free time to Explore. We were able to take a lot of pictures and had an easy ride through the City. I would recomend this guide to everybody. The driver was also very reliable and we never had to wait more than five Minutes. We learned a lot about the Chinese history and a lot about the City of Shanghai.

This was part of our 12-day private tour by Travel China Guide. Our local guide Ryan and driver shuttled us roundtrip from our hotel in Shanghai. We had a wonderful time visiting Suzhou and experiencing the Tongli water town. Ryan was very informative on history, culture, and architectural details. It was a great learning experience. Leslie at Travel China Guide helped me to plan out a private day tour for my family of 2 adults and 2 children in Shanghai. The process was very easy and I was left confident everything was planned well. Our tour guide Ryan did a fantastic job looking after us on the day. He not only took us to all of the places we asked to go, (including a secret viewing area of Yu Garden), but also a nice non-tourist restaurant for lunch to give us a more authentic local food experience. The food was excellent. He spent time explaining the history and meanings behind all of the places, which helped give us an overall understanding of what we were seeing. We did the 14 day Beijing to China trip. It was an absolutely fabulous trip from the minute we arrived we were really looked after after by great guides, First in Beijing by Kitty, then Carol Chen in X'ian. Kevin in Chengdu, and Sophie Lee in Shanghai, they all spoke great English, where very knowledgeable on their area and went out of their way to make a memorable experience for us all. The choice of hotels and locations were perfect, the 3 day Cruise down the Yantzee is a must (but upgrade your allocated restaurant to VIP it's not expensive but it is quieter than the main one). It was the second time I went up on Shanghai Tower — first time was July 2023. But this time we had the chance to visit the Pendular as well. Shanghai Tower is the highest tower in Shanghai with the highest floor open to the public in the world and the world fastest high speed lift. The view is marvellous (with good weather). You can see most of Shanghai's most famous buildings in one sitting. We hadn't booked tickets beforehand but went to the ticket office at the tower itself and didn't have any problems. The Pendular and the story behind it was very interesting and worth a visit.

This was the first stop on our 18 day tour of China, assisted by Travel China Guide. We met our guide Helen and everything went like clockwork! She was very experienced, we loved the boat ride through Tongli and ambling through the shopping streets of Tianzifang. We loved the different gardens! Helen was very knowledgeable, and because of wet weather, Helen helped us tailor our itinerary by switching out a Bund walk and instead squeezing a trip to the brand new Shanghai East museum instead! Our hotel was on the Bund so this was perfect for us! Thanks Helen!
