Go off the beaten path in Shanghai for an authentic culinary experience during this Shanghai night food tour—perfect for first-time visitors. A guide helps you avoid tourist traps and takes you to local-favorite eateries that have been thriving for years. Sample up to 15 Chinese dishes—some of the very best food the area has to offer.
What to Expect
Greet your guide at a central, pre-arranged location and embark upon your exploration of Shanghai’s diverse food scene. Stroll through a residential area brimming with restaurants that are popular with locals, but hard to find on your own, including a family-run restaurant that has been in business for decades.

At each stop you’ll sample several dishes that highlight the best of the region’s flavors, while sipping on amazing local beers, yellow wine & spirits. As you walk, you’ll chat with new foodie friends, sip drinks, digest and learn about the area’s history and architecture.

Taste succulent grilled lamb and naan dishes while sipping a rare regional beer at a local restaurant at the evening’s culinary conclusion. Bid your guide and group farewell at a convenient location near the Jing’An Temple metro stop.

Ours ended near the Jiang Temple but don’t worry your guide will help you get a taxi or point out the metro - which is easy to use - it’s how we got around. Again I highly recommend.
