    Great performance
The performance (Era2 Spirit of Shanghai) was excellent and seating was nice. The most expensive was at RMB800+ but we got the RMB580 tickets which was quite good as it is. Our hotel concierge helped us to book. Only regret the show as only 60 mins so would have been better if it was slightly longer.

    Awesome show! Highly recommend
I highly recommend you to add this place to your visit! Beautiful show, you’ll enjoy every part of it. There is 15min break during the show. You can buy coffee, soft drinks and popcorn inside the circus.

    Afternoon circus for children
We went to the afternoon circus for children here. Was very impressive! Acrobats, animal trainers, and clowns. The show was 2 hrs long. Good value! There is social distancing in place.

Interesting Way to Spend an Evening
Fairly typical circus act with agile performers. No animals but many acrobats doing balancing and tumbling acts on each other, bicycles and various platforms. Just about every seat is a good seat as this is a theater in the round. No need to buy the most expensive seats. If you have already seen the show in Beijing, this will be a repeat.

    Spellbinding
Not going to say too much, but a very good show. The finale made the rest of the show quite tame. Obviously a lot of acrobatics, and quite a few times you feel the need to hold your breath and keep quiet. A good way to pass an evening.

Not worth the price of the tickets
My husband & I took our 13 yr old grandson to see their performance when they were touring through Jacksonville, FL. I was hoping it would more along the lines of Cirque du Soleil, but it certainly wasn't. It was almost as though they were a troupe in training. There were many mistakes & the routines just weren't very interesting. They begged for applause, which I found offputting. Even though I got my tickets at a discount, it still wasn't worth the price that I paid.

    Amazing, a must see!
We bought last minute tickets for this, at about £50 a pop I was a bit reluctant but it was worth every penny. The acts were all incredible, some real nail-biting stuff! The best show I have ever seen in my life, I wish it had lasted longer.

Outstanding circus/acrobat performance, a wonderful show!
We were mesmorized by the acrobats, motorcycle performance and this entire show. You will be disappointed if you do not get a chance to watch, I feel it rivals and is more exciting than the Las Vegas Show.

Novel Experience - No Need to See it Twice
The pictures are a little misleading about what you are getting here. The acts are pretty good, but if you are expecting something of the caliber of Cirque du Solei, you will be highly disappointed. Also, you will be dealing with the "we do not know how to wait in line" crowd. So, if you are protective of your personal space, you might want to avoid this one.

    Vacation
Seriously this is a MUST visit! The performance from start till end was absolutely stunning.... really full of action unlike some international circus! The Chinese ERA performance was really about their courage, skills, perfection and team work. Limited safety line and safety features. Truly amazing how could they do that?

Fantastic is The only word, that describes The show‼️
We did not know What to expect, but The show was so much better than a normal cirkus or performance. There were 32 persons, who performed 15 different shows, some dangerous, some romantic, some estetic beautiful and some just spectaculus. I Can not recommend it ecnnough!

    Amazing
The circus was brilliant the hard work and skill these people have just shines through. I could sit through this again and again. From the first act to the last everyone was great. Its a must do while in China.

If you are expecting a Cirque du Soleil level performance I suggest you save your money. It's an unheated venue where spinning plates are dropped to the floor, acrobats stumble and you are actually expecting the motorcycles to crash inside the ball. Thank goodness they didn't!!

I am not a big fan of acrobatic shows normally but I was coaxed into going to this one and boy was I impressed. It is Cirque du Soleil Plus. It is worth the money.

Simple to get to off the Metro, just walk 1 block North of the Shanghai Circus World stop on Red Line 1. Plenty of seats were available the day of the show on the Thursday night I went. I picked up tickets early in the day, noonish, but there were lots of empty seats at performance time. I found the the acts to be sensational, very entertaining and just plain fun to watch ..... many “How in the world did they do that” moments! I got the midrange 420 RMB tickets, Section B, and they were great. However, it doesn’t look to me that you would loose much in entertainment by sitting in Section D in the least expensive seats. The venue is small so no one is very far from the action. However, the acts ARE all oriented so that the A section guests get the full, straight on, best viewing angle with each succeeding section further off to the side. I see no reason at all to pay the premium to sit in the Stage side “Infield Seats”. I was laughing, applauding and thoroughly enjoying myself the entire show. In my opinion you can’t go wrong seeing this show. I’ll go again if I ever get the chance.

Circus show was fantastic and well worth it! Ticket pickup was super easy, just need to show the Booking Reference number provided by TripAdvisor at venue box office to exchange for paper tickets. Great show overall, and a highlight of our Shanghai trip!

After seeing other shows in China, I found this one disappointing. The sets , lighting, and music did not come close to the other, more traditional shows. That being said, show was entertaining with lots of short acts and audience participation. Reminded me of a 50's or 60's talent show. If you go to see it at the Shanghai Center Auditorium there are good restaurants and shopping right there.

We are from the US and had no idea what to expect. Booked at the last minute with two couples.

I have been to a lot of cirque de sol shows in Vegas and I am pretty spoiled by the theatrical display so when we pulled up to the old school circus tent I thought it would be a long 90min. Boy was I wrong! The talent and things the performers did was absolutely jaw dropping. It was authentic and wonderful. (Ps for the lazy husband like me that worries about comfort the AC was also great...lol.).

So if your cynical guy who’s traveled all over and you think you ha e seen it all. You have not until you have seen this!!!

This has been the highlight of our stay in Shanghai. What a show! Highly recommend this show. During the show we had a couple of elderly ladies who couldn't stop oohing and aahing with every acrobatic exhibition. So much so, we couldn't help busting out laughing.

We really enjoyed this show and the talented young performers. Something different to do in the evening. Theatre was small enough that all seats had good views (section B was great, could go even cheaper and have a good view). Venue looked new and was immaculate.

I went to this with my parents on our last evening in Shanghai. It was such a great way to finish our trip. The stunts were really cool and since the venue is a little smaller, it was easy to see everything! Would recommend getting seats in VIP, A, or B. We sat in B and it was good but it may be hard to see in sections C or D

We enjoyed our night at the Shanghai Circus. The show was fast paced and very entertaining. We got the lowest priced seats and I definitely would recommend getting better seats - we had an obstructed view and missed pieces of the show.
