Incredible heritage experience
Mar. 2020
I had a Saturday off and took this heritage walk. Abhishek was a mind blowing guide. He was so well read and knew his history and also went a long way to make me feel comfortable. We visited landmarks like the Writers Building, Vistorial Memorial and the Raj Bhavan. Abhishek also took me to the Indian Museum and his inputs made my visit a lot more enriching. We also visited a quaint memorial of a person called Charnock. He was the founder of British Kolkata.
He also gave me a great perspective of life in Kolkata today. I met a few interesting local people. I even had a nice local snack in a famous eatery.

Fantastic heritage walk in Kolkata
Feb. 2020
Abhishek met us at the St John's Church and guided us through a 3 hour walk around all the important places of Colonial significance like the Writers building, Victoria Memorial, Charnock and the Museum. Abhishek is very knowledgeable and we enjoyed talking to him about the Raj and its impact on Kolkata. He also helped us get oriented with the modern Kolkata and its people. We enjoyed the local lunch as well. This is a fantastic way to getting upto speed on the history and heritage of Kolkata. Highly recommended.

Walking tour
We chose a half day walking tour of the British Raj to get a sense of colonial Kolkata. The tour did not disappoint. We were able to get into places an ordinary tourist could not, such as Marble Palace, and learned the significance of the many monuments at St John’s church, which was fascinating. Abhishek was very knowledgeable and informative. He was patient and happy to answer our what must have been basic questions. It was a worthwhile introduction to Kolkata under the British Raj.

Abhishek was such a magnificent guide for the British Raj walk. We started with the majestic st John church with its legendary pipe organ. We even got someone to play it for us! What an experience. We visited many interesting buildings like the Writers, governor house, Victoria memorial and the Indian museum. Abhishek was patient and very well read. He answered every question we had regarding kolkata. I would highly recommend this to every first time visitor to kolkata.
