We saw behind the scenes of the havelis and Pranshu was very knowledgeable about the temples and history of Jaipur. Definitely recommend!Written 21 January 2025
- AndrewKSlipper0 contributionsA genuine authentic Indian home cooking experienceExcellent cooking evening experience with Sonal and Akshat, their children, and the grandparents. We were welcomed by the whole family and we were treated like honoured guests. We learnt to cook a chicken curry and pulao rice. We also ate a curry sauce, cauliflower curry, cabbage and potato curry and some chipatis. The home cooked food was delicious and the company was lovely. A really authentic experience.Written 19 January 2025
- JoannaR6670 contributionsJodhpur was amazing thanks to Rocky! My 80 year old mother and I had a phenomenal day and a half in Jodhpur with our fantastic guide, Rocky. Not only did he take us on the most knowledgeable tour of the Spice Market, Fort, royalty cremation site and Palace, he found a delicious place for lunch followed by a fascinating walk through the blue city. He also took us to an outstanding embroidery exhibition called Surface. So beautiful. Rocky has a great energy and kindness that made our full day in Jodhpur simply the best!Written 19 January 2025
- chiarapU5607SC0 contributionsBeautiful day in JodhpurSoda was our favorite guide through all Rajasthan. He is extremely knowledgable, genuinely friendly and patient. We visited the fort, had a nice lunch before a visit to the Bisnoi villages and then visited a nice textile shop and spice shop. We loved his guidance and the places he showed us, thank you so much Soda! Hope to see you soon.Written 17 January 2025
- georgelM3852XR0 contributionsFantastic temple tour of JaipurOur guide Jiya was fantastic and the tour was great. It offered a chance to step away from the packed tourist sites and to see a more genuine side of Jaipur. Jiya was very informative and super patient in showing us interesting places and giving us all the time we needed to explore. Would highly recommend!Written 30 December 2024
- LondonDiningSociety0 contributionsAmazing cooking class and meal with a local familyRocky Singh did a top job of sorting out a cooking school for us at short notice. We had a wonderful night learning to cook (with some help!) 5 different Indian dishes with a local family. I’d definitely recommend it to others!Written 23 December 2024
- WolfgangB6300 contributionsBlue City experienceToday we had the great opportunity to experience Jodhpur‘s old city which is called blue city because of the blue colored walls of the houses. It has been an amazing experience as our great guide, Rocky Singh, showed us all the tiny little things that you can see in the blue city and in the chaotic market area. We can strongly recommend this tour with Rocky.Written 21 December 2024

Vishal took us to the best and freshest places and explained the culinary history behind each dish and ingredients. We visited places off the beaten track and left feeling full and content. Would highly recommend as a great way to navigate and understand Udaipur and the local food.Written 29 November 2024
- AkshatJ140 contributionsThe exquisite, amazing tour of Jodhpur! We did the Jodhpur blue city tour with Rakesh ji and it was amazing. He met us in the morning at the scheduled time, and ensured our needs were taken care of. Seeing the city through the eyes of a local was an enriching experience. Having grown up in India, it always surprises me how little I know about the different places in India, and Jodhpur was no exception. Rakesh ji was quite informed about the history and culture of Jodhpur, and he guided us to the cool spots of Jodhpur, be it the Mehrangarh fort, the royal Ummaid Bhawan Palace, or the delicious makhani lassi at a famous restaurant. Thank you Rakesh ji for making Jodhpur the best part of our Rajasthan tour. I highly recommend this tour with him.Written 27 November 2024

- NAM0200 contributionsNot the major sitesAn early morning walking tour in the old city to look at havelis and temples. We saw places we would never have found and which are very different from the stunning palaces and forts. The history was really extraordinary but getting at least a little understanding of everyday Jaipur was the highlight. Having never been inside a Hindu temple, we were given some insight into meaning and practice without feeling uncomfortable. Our guide Pranshu was local, knowledgeable, and patient and reality helped make this memorable.Written 20 November 2024
- Karen T0 contributionsMust do this tour to see real daily life in Jaipur.A tour of the Temples and Haveli’s of old Jaipur. This started early at the flower market and took us inside the old Haveli’s and Temples. We had time to ask questions and take photographs and learnt a lot about Indian culture and society now. A REALLY fascinating tour and our guide, Raghav, really was so good at explaining everything to us. Until we did this tour we had not seen the real Jaipur.Written 19 November 2024
- gillstuplatt0 contributionsAmazing Amer village walk near Amber FortWe had a wonderful early morning walk and Sam guided us brilliantly. It was so interesting to learn about village life in Amer. We visited beautiful temples, a village house with a friendly welcome, and old shops and buildings. It really made the place come alive and I loved dancing with the ladies in the temple. It was good to do before we visited the Amber Fort later in the day. Thank you Sam you are a great guide.Written 19 November 2024

Went on this tour late afternoon on 19th Feb, sorry I can't remember our guide's name but hopefully the date will identify him! Found it fascinating learning about how the "ordinary" people conduct their lives. A good contrast following all the visits to palaces and learning how royalty lived theirs! Were allowed access in to a very old home which is no longer occupied and also access into shops and working areas of one or two local people. Interesting to see how many goods are still handmade on the premises. Also got to sample to some street food which our guide selected from the many vendors. Delicious and not too spicy. He selected well! Crossing the road in Jaipur at dusk proved to a challenge but again our guide took charge and we all got across without incident! Would definitely recommend this tour.

We were expertly escorted around the busy streets and markets by the charming and knowledgable Nandini Birla. She was able to explain how the different areas of the city specialise in selling everything from kitchen pans to marriage outfits, and led us to the best stalls for Indian specialities such as fresh lakota yoghurt drinks and kulfi (ice cream). The pace was just right and we thought it two hours very well spent.

Our walking tour of Jaipur's old city and food stalls was a truly memorable experience. Our excellent guide Paridhi Jain was full of knowledge and enthusiasm and pointed out many details we would never have noticed on our own. We had no fear in sampling every variety of food from 10 tiny stalls, as Paridhi was obviously acquainted with all of the merchants and knew exactly the best places to go. So many amazing taste sensations! She led us down tiny lanes and provided fascinating stories of the city's history. We are two ladies "of a certain age" and we felt so safe and secure in her hands. It was such fun! Very, very highly recommended.

Praniti took us on a walking tour of the bazaars in Jaipur in the late afternoon on January 17th. We tasted some street food which was carefully selected by Praniti. We really enjoyed the experience. Praniti was full of information about Jaipur and life in India. She even negotiated us across the roads several times which were absolutely packed with cars, motorbikes and tuktuks She is a lovely girl and great fun. I would highly recommend this tour.

Madhav Shekhawat was a knowledgeable and experienced guide who provided an experience we will always remember. His first hand insights into the culture of the area and the history of the city's development gave us a peak into life in Rajasthan. We cannot thank him enough for the wonderful time we had exploring with him.

Anshu was our guide for this tour and she was amazing. We were literally straight off the plane and had wanted something to bridge the time between arrival and bed time and this was the perfect thing. We got a really good taste of the old city with wandering the bazaar and tasting wonderful pakoras and kulfi. We had time to look at textiles, bangle making, printing and all sorts of traditional crafts. There was no pressure to buy anything only lots of information about how the various artisans had settled in this city. We had chai and samosas with a lovely lady in her home and she showed us old family photographs and tried to unravel the complexities of how to describe various relatives in Indian families. Anshu was very helpful and explained anything we were unclear about. I warmly recommend this tour

We went on the walking tour in Udaipur and Jaipur and had a fantastic time. Both Nishtha (Udaipur) and Anshu (Jaipur) were excellent guides- really engaging, knowledgeable and great storytellers. After experiencing some mediocre tours in Delhi, I was very nervous about going on another tour where I just got facts recited to me. We used Virasat tours in Udaipur and had an excellent time with Nishtha. She took us through the old city in Udaipur and we saw a completely different side to it. Our experience was so good that we wanted to go with them for a tour in Jaipur. In Jaipur, Anshu gave us a real feel of the culture, heritage and history of Jaipur. Everything I wanted from a tour, and would HIGHLY recommend anyone visiting Udaipur/Jaipur to have this experience! Although you can find cheaper tours, this experience is 100% worth it and much more meaningful. You’ll leave the tour actually understanding the city, history and culture, and have a chance to taste the local street foods are delicious and completely safe to eat as well :)

We went on the evening bazaar and food walking tour with Madhav and it was a really good tour. We walked around the old town and ate street food. we saw lots of interesting shops and buildings, and loved the street food. Madhav S was caring (making sure we were comfortable) he was easy to understand (spoke clearly and took time to explain) and showed sincere interest in making sure his guests were happy. He shared a great deal of knowledge with us and I highly recommend working with him if you can.
It is a really good tour.

What an excellent introduction this was to the old town of Jaipur. Our guide spoke perfect English and was a pleasure to converse with on a varied range of topics! It was the first day of Divali so Jaipur was heaving but we were expertly steered from interesting craft experiences to delicious street food and back again over the course of our 3 hour tour. Crossing the road would have been a total non starter without our expert guide who somehow managed to enable us to weave our way amongst the stream of flying traffic without incident! I can thoroughly recommend this tour!

Our guide, Madhav Shekhawat, brought us around a two hour walking tour of the old city. We had a fantastic time. We saw the exceedingly colourful fabric bazaar, crowded by prospective brides and grooms due to the imminent wedding season. We also saw a couple in their house, and enjoyed chai and samosas. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable, Madoff brought the city to life. We happily recommend this firm and guide to visitors to Jaipur.
