About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Joanna P0 contributionsUnusual place & great guideOur Bollywood studio tour with Rahil was an incredible experience! Rahil was an excellent guide—friendly, positive, and full of fascinating insights into the film industry. He shared intriguing behind-the-scenes stories and even took us to the sets of two popular TV series, which was an absolute highlight. His enthusiasm made the tour both enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone curious about the magic of Bollywood!Written 14 January 2025
- stephaniecK2566TM0 contributionsA bit of fun and a bit of insight. We were fortunate to see a new series being made, fascinating to see how they make 'magic' from very basic surroundings, and how long things take. The dancing was fun and gave a taste of how a full production could feel. Our guide was very knowledgeable and really looked after us. The cheese toasties were Fabulous!!Written 13 January 2025
- Tourist399374430720 contributionsOk to go just onceRahil took me and my husband behind the scenes of the Indian TV series filming, talked about the filming process and gave us some facts about the film industry in general. We saw several sets for filming, such as a police station and a hospital, and went into the recording studio. At the end of the tour, a dance show of 4 guys dancing in colorful costumes to Indian music. We were invited to join:) In general, OK) It cost $60 per person, and a pickup and drop-off were offered for an extra $40.Written 12 January 2025
- Nomad231232350790 contributionsA beautiful day with this lovely people at WOBThis company is so nice that they changed the itinerary on our request so that we could visit the Siddhivinayak Temple and Mahalaxmi Temple in Mumbai, first thing in the morning. It has been a life long dream to visit these temples and the owner Mr. Rahil Khan immediately accepted our request and asked his team member to change the plans. Mumbai is Suzy a lovely city with great architecture and tourist attractions. It was our first visit to Mumbai and we consider ourselves so lucky that we found this company online thanks to TRIPADVISOR. World of Bollywood Tours owned and managed by Mr. Rahil Khan is easily the best tour company in Mumbai and they take exceptionally good care of the happiness of their customers. It’s a 10 on 10 Stars for this company and we would highly recommend it to all travellers visiting Mumbai. It’s a bit expensive but worth every penny.Written 11 January 2025
- Nomad231232350790 contributionsMr.Rahil Khan is the best man in MumbaiIt was an unbelievably memorable and fabulous day for us at the Bollywood studio in Mumbai. We were very lucky to have chosen this company - World Of Bollywood Tour as Mr. Rahil Khan the owner of this company is a person from the Bollywood film industry and everyone knew him and we got special treatment and access on all the sets at the Studio. It was very evident that Mr. Rahil Khan is well liked by everyone there. Thanks to him we were able to meet our favourite actress Ayesha Singh ( Shai Joshi ) who is a huge star in the film and television industry. Since she and Rahil are friends, she spoke to us for a long time and that was the most cherished memory for us during our 2 week stay in Mumbai. If you want to do the Bollywood Tour, look no further, Mr. Rahil Khan is by far the BEST MAN to make your day unforgettable & hugely memorable.Written 11 January 2025
- Climber441342254860 contributionsWonderful Mumbai City Tour with a Wonderful Guide! What a beautiful day we had during our Mumbai City Tour. This was our second tour with this company after the Bollywood Tour and this too was very special and memorable. They are very honest, genuine and friendly group of people who will want to ensure that their guests have a fantastic experience on their tours. We saw all the tourist attractions in south Mumbai and also the houses of Bollywood film stars as we had requested for the same. Top notch service and we highly recommend this tour company World of Bollywood Tour owned by Mr. Rahil Khan who runs the company exceptionally well.Written 11 January 2025
- MeWardy0 contributionsFun Friendly and FactualAn excellent tour! We were able to visit an actual working film studio. It was great fun, inclusive and welcoming for all ages. We viewed the crews and actors at work on set, enjoyed some live dance performances from professional Bollywood dancers (we even joined in at the end for a Bhangra ). We learnt about the history of Bollywood, watched a short film about how they achieve those amazing special effects, and then we went into the Sound Department to learn about post production dubbing. Those that wanted could sing some karaoke and see it recorded professionally. We also had great fun trying on costumes and posing with props, then taking selfies with our friends in sets such as the jail and the hospital. We even met some Bollywood stars during their lunch break! Ravhil, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and kind, and because he has a unique affinity with both the film professionals on the sets and his tour guests, this makes the tour special.Written 10 January 2025

The Bollywood tour includes unique and enjoyable experiences like witnessing productions and shoots, a detailed insider view of the studio and what lies behind Bollywood film productions. - Mihr T0 contributionsGOLDEN VIPASSNA PAGODA and MANORI VILLAGE TOURThe trip started off with a drive to the seaside, wherefrom we took a small ferry to the island. I was immediately enthralled by the Portuguese culture, which was very visible on the island. We took a richshaw ride through the village, viewing many beautiful homes, churches and businesses. The village is not scenic as per se, but definitely seems different from Mumbai in general. Rahil also interacted fluently with the locals and learning about their views was interesting. We got to the beach and drank A LOT of coconut water and then headed for the Buddhist Centre. The Global Vipassana Pagoda is truly an architectural marvel. There are innumerable quotes on the walls, which make for a learning session in themselves. We then had a guided meditation session, which would have been perfect, except for the open doors (allowing some noise and light in), but I actually learnt a new technique to meditate. There is also an art gallery at the Centre and the art is extremely spiritual. Rahil is very knowledgeable about the local culture and ensured that he gave me all the useful information I needed to better understand the tour. I would highly recommend Rahil because he understands what he's doing, is friendly and goes out of his way to improve the experience.Written 25 December 2024

This was one of the most memorable tours we have experienced in recent times. The day started with the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, leading on to the historic Kanheri Caves. The care, and attention to the smallest of details by Rahil Khan, who operates this, is mind blowing. From fresh fruits to water to lining up tickets and permissions to walking us through detailed and informed explanations of the two sites made it a very rich experience for us. There are some moments that remain etched in my mind. Like when Rahil Khan offered to click pictures for us as we made our way to the highest levels of the caves. Or the way he offered space in our car arranged by him, to a young army family, so that they could reach their destination on time, showed us what a fine human being Rahil Khan is.
Rahul's knowledge of the Park and the Kanheri caves is extensive. His generosity is amazing.
We look forward to many more experiences with Rahil.

My trip to the Sanjay Gandhi National Park was very enjoyable.
Rahil came personally to pick me up from the hotel and we had plenty of interesting conversations.
Upon arriving at the park, we took an AC bus to the ticket stop for the lion and tiger safari. I was surprised at how developed India has become as the system was very efficient.
You can expect to see monkeys and deer on the route, and beautiful green forest all around you.
It is interesting to see how tribal women have set up stalls in the jungle with refreshments, which for me was truly fascinating. The whole idea of a thriving human settlement in a place with hundreds of carnivorous animals was mind-blowing.
Seeing the lions and tigers through the bus reminded me of Jurassic Park and I conveyed this to him, much to his amusement.
The short climb up to the initial caves is definitely worth it, as the inscriptions and ancient work is so alluring. I would have definitely enjoyed more enthralling commentary on the various facets of ancient life, but the balance between commentary and experience was satisfactory. The guide told me that the climb continues for four hours up and there are over a hundred caves so we focused on the main ones at the bottom and I found this enough for me (a non-specialist).
Afterwards, we had an Indian village food experience at the canteen and this was very memorable.
Much appreciation to Rahil for the hard work and dedication and I look forward to doing more tours with your company.

Do not do this - scam. The tour guide was nice, but knew nothing about the caves and lied when I asked him questions. I asked him what language the inscriptions are in and he said it's an ancient language that no one knows! Such an expensive price for a guide who didn't know anything at all.
On top of that, once we were there he told me we needed to hide the fact that he is giving a tour from the guards at the caves.
At the restaurant, he orders bland butter chicken with garlic naan. The restaurant was beautiful, but I don't like unseasoned food and prefer plain bread to garlic naan (I wasn't given a choice with that, it just appeared).
Save your money and pick your own restaurant/food. The caves are easy to get to and if you go alone, you can immerse yourself at your own pace, not feel like you are there against the policies, and not leave with false information. I only learned the truth after I got home and was suspicious that supposed nothing at all was known about the caves

Dear Ms. Sam,
Namaste.
We thank you for writing the review about the experience you had on the Kanheri Caves Tour booked with us on 21st April 2024 & bringing your disappointing experience to our notice.
We are extremely sorry & saddened to learn that you were disappointed with the service provided by our guide Mr. Sho.
1) He has been well trained & given adequate knowledge about the caves and its history, and has taken tourists several times there. Nevertheless we are extremely sorry that he was not able to answer your questions about the inscriptions on the walls of the cave.
2) About the security guards at the caves: There are plenty of guards there who try to force themselves as guides on international tourists so that they can demand money or tips from the foreign tourists.
Some of them also behave like the local mafia and do not like guides of tour companies to accompany international tourists to see the caves.
They do this so that later on they can extract or demand money or tips from international tourists for forcing themselves to become guides for tourists.
This was the reason that Sho made the request to you. We are sorry that he was unable to communicate the same clearly to you which led to the misunderstanding.
3) We are happy to know that you found the restaurant beautiful. However, we are extremely sorry that Sho did not ask your choice of food before placing the order & we sincerely apologise that the taste of the food was not to your satisfaction. We will ensure that this won’t be repeated.
4) We would like to assure you that we place a lot of importance on the value we provide to all our wonderful customers like your good self.
Your satisfaction and happiness means everything to us.
We humbly request you to not consider us as a ‘scam company’ as we try our best to provide great value for money & a memorable experience to all our wonderful customers.
We try to have as many inclusions as possible to make sure that everything is taken care of and our customers have a hassle free, comprehensive, enjoyable & memorable tour with us.
E.g. - In the KANHERI CAVES tour selected by you, the following things were included & arranged for:
1) Pick up from your hotel
2) Air conditioned private car with a safe and experienced driver at all times.
3) English speaking knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and well trained guide.
4) Snacks and refreshments.
5) All entry tickets to the park and caves.
6) Lunch in a comfortable & nice air conditioned restaurant.
7) Drop off to your hotel.
We humbly request your understanding of the circumstances and would also like to assure you that strict action will be taken against the guide for providing such a poor & unacceptable level of service inspite of being well trained and being an experienced guide from the last 6 years.
We sincerely apologise to you for the inconvenience and poor experience you had because of our senior & experienced guide.
We assure you that necessary action will be taken against him and we will ensure that this is not repeated in the future.
We hope that on your next visit to Mumbai, you will give us an opportunity to serve you again so that we can live upto your expectations & ensure that you have a very positive and memorable experience on our tours.
Thank you for your patience and understanding,
Kindest regards,
Rahil Khan.
CEO.

Not to missed and a wonderful experience. Had a great day with Kahil who runs the tour company seeing the Kanheri Caves and the Golden Pagoda.
It was more like being with a local friend who just took care of all the logistics so I could just enjoy myself and not worry. It allowed me to be able focus on being there and enjoying the sites. Kahil engaged with not only the vendors bargaining , making deals and getting information but he also talked to other tourists and locals who all brought their experience into the experience. I could never had had this rich of an experience on my own.

It was my second trip with Rahil this week. We started with Sanjay Gandhi National park where we visited two museums and the tiger reserve. We were told it was our lucky day as we sighted quite a few tigers, a lion and a lioness. The nimbu paani, fresh papaya and chana sold by the indigenous tribe folks was delicious. We then proceeded to Kanheri caves. The climb is steep but totally worth it. The caves are historic and fairly well preserved. What was pleasantly surprising was the knowledge of the security guards about the carvings and the age old relics. Rahil was his usual caring self and the perfect attentive host. Yet another memorable experience for me.

Caves themselves were enchanting and a fascinating glimpse into the past. Would highly recommend to any visitors.

The caves are beautiful but opt for cycle or bicycle, don’t opt for the taxi/vans the drivers try to fleece you and it’s pure waste of money there isn’t constructive or additional information given by these drivers and they charge INR 1300 for a 7 km trip, there is alternative AC bus transport is provided which is much cheaper and better.
