Bollywood is one of the world’s largest film industries, famous for its Technicolor, show-stopping dance numbers and larger-than-life storylines. Movies are the heart of modern India, and no trip to the country’s film capital is complete without a visit to its famous soundstages. On this rare, behind-the-scenes tour, you’ll see film shoots in action, shimmy along with Bollywood dancers, and get a chance to mingle with the stars.

What to Expect

Perfect for die-hard Bollywood fans and first-time visitors alike, this behind-the-scenes tour begins by visiting a real-life filming location, where you’ll be able to watch a movie shoot in action. India produces more films than any other country on earth, and Hindi cinema—Bollywood—is its standout industry. You’ll discover a new side to India by getting a rare peek at how its much-loved movies are made.

Learn about the technical side to movie-making and the evolution of Bollywood from black-and-white, religious-themed flicks to colorful, cutting-edge extravaganzas. Tours vary depending on shooting schedules, but you may get a rare chance to peek inside a star’s dressing room and pose for a few souvenir snapshots.

Dance like a Bollywood film star during an energetic performance of diverse Bollywood dance styles, from traditional Indian forms to Middle Eastern belly dancing. Feel free to test out your new moves. After a savory local lunch, you’ll head for a drive to see the palatial homes of Bollywood stars in the ritzy residential areas of Mumbai.

Fun Bollywood tour

We enjoyed our full day with Naren. His car was comfortable and he was very thoughtful. No problems getting in to the two studios and he chose a very nice restaurant for an authentic Indian meal. His English was also very good.
