    Excellent adventure. BYOH.
This was done early morning before the traffic got too crazy. We were lucky to have light drizzle to keep us cool at the beginning . Our tour guide nashe was awesome, loved that Raoul the second guide biked behind us keeping us safe from traffic. This company, some profits go to a charity which is amazing as well as our guides who have great english . The only thing I was worried about was the state of the bike helmets..were definitely not up to standard. My suggestion is BRING an old one from home, and donate it to the company for use after your tour. This would help so much as they only get what the bike hire people give them. Otherwise it was an excellent adventure.....

Great Tour with a Great Guide
Really enjoyable tour, a nice mix of food types sampled throughout a few different areas. The travel between areas was a nice way to break up the eating! Javed was a great guide, providing really insightful information about the different areas and foods, whilst also being a really nice friendly guy.

Reality Tours & Travel - THE company to use for holidaying in India
My wife and I recently returned to the UK from our holiday in India – where we used the services of Reality Tours & Travel. And I am writing to sing their praises! This is the second time we have used Reality Tours & Travel – we had a day tour with them in Mumbai in 2023. This time we used Reality to help us book a Delhi-Rajasthan road trip. They were fantastic in every respect. In advance of our holiday, they tailored their schedule to suit ours, and ensured we had all the information we needed. My wife and I had a personalised tour and we were accompanied by a Reality Rep and driver whenever we required them over the course of 11 days. Naresh, our Reality rep, was the perfect guide, ensuring we wanted for nothing, and that all of our needs were met. He also had a series of fantastic drivers to make our journey very comfortable. If you are thinking of holidaying in India – use Reality Tours & Travel.

Perfect customized tour with Reality Tours & Travel - highly recommended for female travellers
After learning that Reality Tours & Travel also offers multi-day trips, I got in touch with them to arrange a trip for a private extension of my upcoming business trip. Krishna and Shravan were incredibly patient in working with me in spite of duration and exact timing of my trip changing multiple times in the planning phase and kindly accommodated to my wishes regarding the customized itinerary, consisting of the Mumbai Slum & Night Tour, Ajanta & Ellora Caves, Golden Triangle & Rajasthan and Delhi sightseeing. As a first timer in India and female solo traveller, safety was paramount to me and Reality Tours and Travel kindly arranged everything from the pick-up at the airport upon arrival until the drop-off at departure. My fantastic guides Chetan (for Mumbai & Maharashtra) and Sourav (for Delhi, Golden Triangle & Rajasthan) always made sure I felt safe and comfortable. They shielded me from any unwanted attention, yet provided me with the opportunity to interact with locals. As both of them speak excellent English, I learned a lot about the places we visited as well as about India in general and daily life there. They went above and beyond to make my trip the best one I could have possibly had, were very approachable, well-organized and punctual and took me to places that locals would frequent. At local monuments that required additional designated guides, they made sure to find an experienced guide with suitable language skills. Chetan and Sourav were always available in case I needed any assistance and flexibly adjusted our agenda to give me the time I wanted to spend at each sight or to add Chai or souvenir shopping breaks. I could not have been happier with my trip and plan on booking with Reality Tours and Travels again.

Fantastic custom dawn market and temple tour
A lovely experience! We were able to amend our itinerary and skip out some of the locations we had already been to which enabled us more times in the market and temple . The vegetable and flower market were very interesting ( wear good footwear and avoid the squidgy bits) So many positive smells and colours , hustle and bustle , and customers just getting on with their morning routine . So glad that we went ! The temple was beautiful, very interesting to see prayer and the privilege to be in the same room was fascinating. Would recommend asking for an itinerary before you depart so you can knock off the places you’ve been to so you can throughly enjoy the market . Our lovely guide also took us for a lovely chai , which was great to drink on the street with the locals! Our guide was fantastic, Nano , and our driver - who didn’t speak much English but far better than any other language that I can speak for sure ! Just a really great day !

Rajesthan - stopping in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra and Delhi!
We have had an extraordinary time on our tour of Rajesthan - stopping in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra and Delhi! Mr Hemraj has been a great driver/guide along the way, always on time, always open to taking us to the best spots and providing us with top hospitality along the way! He always checks in on us during the long drives and drives well even in rush hour! He’s a safe pair of hands among tuk tuk drivers, motorbikes and cows on the roads. His passion for Rajasthan's heritage, coupled with his warmth and hospitality, elevated our journey beyond our expectations. His deep-rooted knowledge and genuine love for his homeland infused each moment with authenticity and wonder, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you Mr Henraj :)

An opportunity to see the real side of Mumbai whilst supporting a valuable charity
We were looking for a slightly different tour and this proved perfect Travelling by train, bus and shared cabs we explored southern Mumbai taking in a variety of produce markets, bazaars, the Dohbi Ghat and finishing with the Dabbawala A good tour always needs a good guide and Rishi was excellent Moreover the tour operator - Reality Gives - is an NGO supporting education in Mumbai’s slum community - so you felt your tourist pounds were going to a very worthwhile cause

    Best tours in India
I done one tour in 2020 and it was amazing and I have done two tours in the past week with my parents and they have both been fantastic. Guides are very knowledgeable and make sure you feel like you are in real India. The tours are very organised. Mumbai city and market tour is fantastic and they take you places you probably would never venture to. Dharavi Slum Tour was amazing too. Our guide met us at the Churchgate train station in south Mumbai and took us to Dharavi where we met other guides and other people. Our guide was lovely and she very knowledgeable. The company are very respectful of the people within Dharavi with their no camera policy. Fantastic tour all round. I will definitely do tours in New Delhi too. Rajesh and the female

    Very professional and honest company
Myself and Guruji came in January 2024. As it was one of our first trips to the land of our heritage ( we are of Indian heritage, but from the times of British Colonialism) we wanted to visit many of the places culturally significant to us. We did a multi day tour encompassing both locations in North and South India. And it was expertly put together with very little hassle along the way. The excellent service began even before with Krishji and Shravanji who made sure they understood what we needed and helped us put together a detailed itinerary. The communication is excellent. Then there is the trip itself. Our first guide Abhishek Sharma is a gift at what he did, and felt more like family. He took very good care of us and ensure we were engaged. In varanasi we met Mr. Raju Chauhan and Brijeshji , and they helped us navigate some of the most daunting challenges but most meaningful aspects of our trip, including the opportunity to visit Ayodhya two days after the Prana Prathishtaa of the Ram Mandir. In the South Mr pandiyarajan did his very best to see our visit to Rameshwaram was comfortable. And Chetanji in Mumbai also a professional person And all of our drivers were polite including our driver Prakashji who took us from coimbatore to madhurai and then rameshwaram. This gentleman had a heart of gold and is most devout and sincere. We enjoyed the many mandirs he took us to. All in all, I have already recommended this company to Trinidadians and anyone who is looking for making that important journey to Bharata.

This is an absolute must do if you are in Mumbai. The company re-invest 80% of their profits back into the Dharavi community through their education, training & schooling programmes. Our guide, Sabina, is an incredible human being and was a fountain of knowledge and joy during our trip. We also opted for the meal cooked by a local woman, which was delicious in her beautiful and clean home. An eye opening cultural learning experience for my girlfriend and I that we won’t ever forget.

We are visiting India for the first time for a friend's wedding and wanted to experience different ways of living. This tour was so educational and eye-opening. We learned about the different types of industry that are producing an amazing amount of goods as well as different living conditions and cultures that coexist within Dharavi. I'm so glad we had this experience, even though it was heart-wrenching at times.

I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to expand your views and understanding of the world. We also loved how Reality Tours funnels so much of the proceeds back into the community for education.

My husband & I did the afternoon tour with Sabena, joined by 2 others in Dharavi. Sabena is a third generation resident of Dharavi so the place resonates with her. What can I say?? It's a city within a city with its own hierarchy - older residents have the large houses & compounds while the newer residents make do. A snapshot of society between the haves & the have nots. It is gritty, dirty, messy & challenging in some places - but that is what life is like in Dharavi. The place was a hive of activity with everyone going about their business, even with the pall of Covid19 hanging over their heads. Recommended.

The tour of Dhavari was a highlight of our time in Mumbai. Our guide Bipin was excellent - he was very informative and thoughtful, and also conscious of the privacy of the residents in Dhavari as we walked through the neighbourhoods. The tour was a respectful way to see the day to day life of the residents and understand the strong sense of community there. The company is doing great work supporting the community. I would highly recommend the tour

In an area half the size of Central Park in NY, contains a community of a one million plus citizens. Its a city within a city. To negotiate the area you need a guide who will guide, answer your questions and inform you how these people live and survive, in Dharavi. The thing that stands out in this community, there is no one begging - everyone works.

A unique opportunity to find out the reality of life for people living in Dharavi. Prepare to have your misconceptions challenged!
There is no way that you could find your own way through this area and see the working lives and living environment of the people without a guide. Your presence wouldn’t be tolerated. These tours are possible because the relationship between the organisation and the people of Dharavi is respectful. This is not ‘poverty-porn’ - quite the opposite. And no cameras are allowed, which underlines this important point.
It’s great that these tours support educational resources for the community and provide opportunities that wouldn’t otherwise be available.

We would highly recommend taking this tour with this tour company. We were met at the train station by one employee whilst the rest of our group got there, just 6 in our group which was great. We were then met by Hitesh who was so lovely & spoke really good English. It wasn’t a long walk from the station & the tour took about 2.5 hours in total. There were lots of stops along the way to tell us about the people & trades that work & live here. It’s quite amazing how much stuff they recycle. We went to a leather shop where you could buy stuff that had been made there & also a ship at the end where you got a lovely cold drink & could buy gifts if you wanted to but with no pressure to buy anything. I bought some shopping bags as gifts that had been recycled from Sari’s. Would highly recommend this tour, it’s a must if in Mumbai.

A must do in Mumbai to get insight into how the working class live and work. It also demonstrates the sense of community and ingenuity of the workers. Raj was a professional guide who explained what was what and answered our questions thoughtfully. Reality Tours also seems to be a good tourism business contributing to the local economy.

The tour was incredibly informative, safe, and fun! Our tour guide, Bhakti (hopefully I spelled that right) was incredibly kind and knew a ton of different facts. She was able to answer all my group's questions!

Really felt like I can truly appreciate now how much of an economic (and cultural) powerhouse Dharavi really is! Thank you to Reality Tours and Travel for providing such a great afternoon experience (and also glad that they contribute back to the community through their school!)
