Overview
Visit a number of top attractions in New and Old Delhi on a private full-day tour that ends with an evening walking tour in Old Delhi. See UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, and Qutab Minar, then explore Old Delhi on foot in the evening accompanied by your guide. Taste foods made by family-run shops, browse the spice market and street vendors, and get a feel for local life in Delhi. Includes snacks during the walking tour, private transportation and guide, entrance fees, and hotel pickup and drop-off.
What to Expect
Your tour begins at 12 noon with pickup by your guide at your hotel in Delhi.
Start in New Delhi where you travel in an air-conditioned private vehicle to see monuments including the World Heritage-listed Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar — considered one of the most perfect towers in the Persian world, and the 1,500-year-old Iron Pillar. Continue by driving through the Embassy area to see government buildings from the early 20th century, Connaught Place, and India Gate.
Afterwards, go into Old Delhi to view the Red Fort (Lal Qila), which sits 108 feet (33 meters) above the bustling streets Old Delhi.
Begin your walking tour of Old Delhi in the early evening, taking in parts of Old Delhi that come alive when locals visit the spice market, street vendors, and small shops at the end of the day. Stroll the narrow backstreets to see historical buildings, taste delicious street food and local specialties, and walk through areas that visitors rarely experience.
At the end of your tour, your guide drops you back off at your hotel in Delhi.
