AN ABSOLUTE GEM OF A TOUR
Feb. 2020 • Couples
Do not miss this one - really ! Absolutely fabulous tour expertly hosted by Adi who went out of his way to share his knowledge of the food and also Old Delhi. The food was delicious and memorable and although we were slightly worried about the dreaded Delhi Belly we need not have worried at all ! No tummy problems whatsoever. This was one of the highlights of our month in India. I would recommend it to everyone and you will be especially lucky if you get Adi as your guide.

Namaste Karen, Thank you for a wonderful review, much appreciated! Our guest's reviews keep us motivated to deliver our best and make their trip memorable in Delhi, India without any "Delly Belly" ;) Until next time, keep eating! Thanks again Team - Food Tour In Delhi

So disappointing.
Mar. 2020 • Friends
This tour is not worth the money. Before booking I was reading the other reviews and saw that the tour owner wrote a response trashing the person who wrote a negative review... and I assume they’ll do the same to me.

The guide gave us no information about old Delhi, culture, or anything really other than what flour the breads we were eating were made out of.

For over $300 for a group of 4 I expected this to be a private tour. Alas, it was not, and the guide was always 15 feet ahead of us ignoring us and making us feel bad for wanting to stop and look at things or take pictures.

I do a food tour in almost every city I visit and it’s always my favourite part, but this just left me feeling disappointed and ripped off.

AVOID THIS TOUR!!!

Namaste Dayne, We regret to know that we could not match your expectations. There are a few things which are not clear from your review, rather contradicting statements, will appreciate your kind response to clarify to be able to help us improve our services. Please do not consider this as "trashing", instead it is an honest response to your honest review about the tour. 1) This is by far the fairest platform to share honest reviews of travellers who have really experienced the tours. And we as a company welcome all with an open heart and a mindset to get motivated from the good ones and learn and improve from the bad one but we honour both. When you say that you spent a good amount of time reading all the review good and especially the bad ones and if you were not convinced, what made you book our services? 2) Yes, you booked a food tour and we understand that our guest, especially foodies like you who take a food tour in every city want to learn more about the food, where the culture, history is secondary knowledge on a tour and where the name itself starts with food has to be more about detailing of food. 3) I am not convinced with the fact that the person who is doing such detailed research and going through all the reviews does not go through the tour details before booking, where it is clearly highlighted that private charges are extra. We would have been happy to host a private tour, IF YOU WOULD HAVE BOOKED OR ASKED FOR IT. 4) Your tour will FREE OF COST upgraded to tour with chef which is much more expensive than the one you booked. Your reviews had helped us ask more details about our guest, we are learning, thank you again for sharing your feedback. Thanks Shikha Gupta - Food Tour In Delhi

Don’t miss this tour
Incredible tour plus extra insights into culture and history. Aditya, our guide, was the best!! Took excellent care of us and we had so much fun. By the way, the food was awesome! Tour is 4 hours, 14 dishes from 8 food joints. Old Delhi bazaars, Spice Market and Chandni Chowk must be experienced. You walk, ride and stuff yourselves. Skip breakfast.

A highlight of our trip
Jan. 2020
Absolutely loved this food tour in Old Delhi. Chef Aditya and our other guide were terrific. The tour gave us the opportunity to (safely!) try so many foods that we had not tasted yet and the experience of navigating Old Delhi (especially on a Saturday) was thrilling (if not a tad insane!). I'd highly recommend this as a first day jet lag tour (who doesn't like to eat - even when sleepy) or a great way to end your visit to India. Bravo!

A must do food experience in Old Delhi
Initially we'd booked an evening tour however due to the protests we couldn't reach some of the locations. Pradeep still organised a few stops including a Sikh temple where they serve thousands of meals per day for free. We visited the large kitchen, helped make roti and served some meals; a very humbling experience. Kindly Pradeep rescheduled the rest of our tour for the next day at no extra cost. It was an amazing experience with our very knowledgeable guide tasting many dishes, drinks and sweets. We bought nuts and spices as well. A great introduction to Delhi and the fabulous food on offer.

We loved it even that we arrived from a long flight 3 hours before. It was a great start to our tour and highly recommended. Ash was brilliant and added more than just food information but history aspects also. It gives one confidence to try all types of food. Very well worth the money.

Worth Every Penny
Oct. 2019
Our tour guide, Aditya Shahi, expertly shepherded my husband and I through the throngs of people in Old Delhi to experience a variety of foods and shops. We tasted so many delightful things from places we wouldn't have ordinarily considered or found, such as street vendors or hidden gems in courtyards, all the while learning interesting tidbits. Most of the tour was on foot though, which made it difficult at times to hear what our guide was saying. Still, we learned quite a lot and also got to ride on a bike rickshaw and visit the spice market.

We did also happen to have an issue finding the meetup location, which was changed last minute, but the tour operator worked quickly and got Aditya to meet us nearby. Once we met up, we were given cloth travel bags that had a water bottle, sanitary wipes, and hand sanitizer, all of which was very thoughtful. The portions of the food samples from each stop ranged from a bite or two to a full meal. Needless to say, we were stuffed by the end. Here's a list of all the foods were able to sample:
Dal Kachori, Matar kachori with Aloo Sabzi ( Potato Curry)
Samosa with sweet tamarind dip and Savory Mint coriander green chilly dip
Gulab Jamun
Lassi
Fresh Fruit Sandwich
Chai (Tea)
Dhokla (Gram Flour steamed cake)
Aloo Chat
Orange Kulle Chat
Nankhatai (Shortbread)
Stuffed Orange Kulfi
Khan's special omlette
Bhatura and Kulcha with chole(chickpeas) - Old style cooking
Rasgulla
Bhatura with Chole(chickpeas) - New style cooking
Jalebi

All in all, great tour - would highly recommend!
