    What to Expect

    Day 1: Negombo - Anuradhapura

Stop At: Sri Maha Boodhi Temple, Anuradhapura Sri Lanka
06:00: You will be picked up from your hotel in Negombo and transferred to Anuradhapura ( Approx. 4 hours Drive)
On arrival to Anuradhapura, you can visit the oldest historically documented tree on earth, The Sacred Bo tree over 2000 years old, grown from a branch of the very tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment.
    Duration: 1 hour

The perfection and scale of the adobes or the relic chambers like Ruwanveliseya, Abhayagiriya and Jetavanaramaya, which are the largest in the world, are staggering, the latter vying with the largest pyramids at a height of 122 meters.
    Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Samadhi Statue, Anuradhapura Sri Lanka
Also, visit the remains of the Brazen Palace, The Twin Ponds, and the Samadhi Buddha, which is being acknowledged as a masterpiece. Among the other highlights are Isurumuniya temple with finest rock carvings in the country, The Moonstone, The Guard stones and Thuparama and Lankaramaya Dagobas.

    Day 2: Anuradhapura - Wipattu - Negombo

Stop At: Wilpattu National Park, Putlam - Anuradhapura Road, Anuradhapura 50000 Sri Lanka
08:00: After breakfast, you will be driven to Wilpattu national park for a memorable Game drive.
A safari in Wilpattu is very different from any of the other major national parks. Visitor numbers remain very low and even in high season, it's common for there to be no more than a handful of tourist jeeps in the park at any one time. The unique feature of this park is the existence of "Willus" (Natural lakes) - Natural, which gives Wilpattu a wonderful, and genuine, wilderness feeling. Here you can also find huge swathes of dense, dry country woodland, masses of birds and, with a little luck, an impressive array of wildlife including leopards, sloth bears, spotted deer, wild pigs, and crocodiles.
