- oliverwF5235PQ0 contributionsA phenomenal experience of Morocco! An incredible visit to the beautiful country of Morocco! My wife and I arranged a tour with 2 other friends to visit for 6 days and had a phenomenal experience with the Morocco Sahara Desert Travel company. Hamid was a great help in creating a custom itinerary to work with our timeline and was very responsive in making modifications based on our requests. Everything was planned very well and all logistics went smoothly throughout the trip. Hicham was our driver for the whole week and did an incredible job - he was very friendly and welcoming, speaks great English, and made our van feel like home as we were traveling around the country! The company arranged local tour guides for us in Fes and Marrakesh who were very good as well and the beautiful Sahara desert was definitely the highlight of the trip. All in all, it was a fantastic vacation and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience Morocco!Written 27 September 2024

- natcoleman100 contributionsMorocco - 11 day tour from Tangier through the mountains & desert to EssouairaWe planned our itinerary through Hamid, who is very quick to respond to emails and knowledgable. Each aspect of the trip was easy to organise with his expert help and the driver he booked for us, Hicham was fabulous. We felt well cared for and had a fun trip from Tanger to Chefchouen, Fes to Erg Chebbi, through the Atlas to Todra & Dades Valley then Marrakesh and Essaouira. We experienced the coast, the desert, small towns and large cities. Each had their own unique points of interest and this itinerary gave us a great overview of the country The riads booked for us were all great places to stay I would recommend MSDT to anyone wanting a well planned Morocco tripWritten 27 June 2024
- ArubaisHome0 contributionsFabulous trip to Morocco with MSDTOur trip to Morocco with MSDT was delayed due to Covid but well worth the wait. Three of us spent 13 days in this beautiful diverse country led by our amazing driver/guide Khalid. We spent our nights in Rabat, Chefchouen, Meknes, Fes, Midelt, Mezouga, Dades, Marrakesh and Oualidia and loved the drives from place to place- so much to see in this country! The local guides arranged by Hamid were very knowledgeable and we learned about their country from them. We especially enjoyed staying in the beautiful Riads, riding camels to our overnight stay in the desert, roaming the alleys of the Medinas, eating Berber Pizza and the peaceful sounds of the ocean at Oualidia. Morocco Sahara Desert Tours is a topnotch tour company, easy to work with and we highly recommend them. MSDT listened to what we wanted, and made it so easy to sit back and enjoy. We were well taken care of, and would enthusiastically recommend MSDT to our family and friends!Written 3 May 2024
- ritnidcm0 contributionsMemorizing Day trip to Marrakech with AliThis day trip was a wonderful way to spend our visit in Marrakech! Ali, our personal driver was kind, welcoming, informative, and definitely a great driver! When driving through the mountains, he gave us information the entire way, and gave us the freedom to stop at any point and take pictures (he's also a great photographer). Once we reached Kasbah Telouet, we got a chance to get out and walk around. We couldn't enter due to damage caused by an earthquake a month prior, but that didn't stop Ali from giving us rich information on the Kasbah and its history. Before proceeding on our trip, I got a chance to use the restroom, and we bought a small snack (local nuts) before continuing on to Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou, where he left us in good hands with our personal tour guide, Milad. We had great walk up to the top of the Kasbah, learning about its history and fame in the Hollywood film industry. It was quite a hike the whole way through, but he kept us at a pace that was comfortable, yet efficient. We stopped midway to purchase a few things which they held for us until we started our descent. Once reaching the top, he gave us space to take in the view on our own, and take as many pictures as we wanted. Once we let him know we were done, we took our time back down, collecting our purchases on the way. When finally reaching the bottom, he guided us to the restaurant where we had a delicious filling lunch outside. After we finished our meal, Ali picked us up and we began our journey through the mountains back to our hotel. Due to the time we left for the day trip (7am) we avoided much of the traffic that we would have otherwise been caught in on the way back. All in all, I 100% recommend this day trip and Ali as the guide! You won't be disappointed!!Written 19 April 2024

- 570charlih0 contributionsA must do experienceWhat a way to experience so much of Morocco!!! Rather than basing myself out of one city I opted to do the multi day private tour in a brand new air conditioned car to see as many cities as possible. Having a local private driver who spoke fluent English meant quick and insightful stops without the big tour groups. In Fez and Marrakech I used a local guide to walk the old city markets to find all the hidden secrets. Make sure you try as many local foods as possible like Tagine, Fresh juices, couscous, bessara soup, amlou and more. Hamid and his team were super flexible on how to plan and execute the itinerary. My highlights were the incredible blue city of Chefchaouen and camping in the Sahara desert and riding the camels. There is so much culture in Morocco you won’t ever be bored. As a female traveler I always felt safe! So make sure this trip is on your bucket list!Written 11 January 2024
- gloriapinheiro0 contributionsExceptional Buggy TourOur Pick up and Drop off driver was extremely formerly and very professional. He taught us a few words and phrases to use during our stay in Marrakech. Aziz and the team were amazing, we had an extra 10 minutes on the buggies too and the Berber tea and snacks were unforgettable! We were taken around places that were new to us and even had an informal guided tour and fabulous pictures. Highly, highly recommend Thanks AzizWritten 23 December 2023
- Roving6989190 contributionsMorocco Sahara Desert Travel (MSDT) is the BESTMSDT agency put together a fantastic tour representing Morocco’s major cities and villages as we passed through the Atlas Mts. and Sahara Desert areas. The specific tours were comprehensive yet modifiable based on our small group’s needs. We were steeped in traditional culture from the riads within the old medinas, the narrow streets filled with colorful Moroccan goods and foods, to the desert camp via camel in the Erg Chebbi Desert. Our tour driver became a friend and trusting cohort enhancing our 11-day van travel to the next level. The agency owner paid close attention to our needs at every stage and was always just a phone call away if needed. MSDT comes highly recommended. ***Be sure to have plenty of smaller dirham available for tipping staff at most public water closets, restaurants, tourist attraction areas, etc. These people depend on your generosity!Written 22 November 2023
- Ronwol0 contributionsAttentive caring tour operatorHamid is very responsive and easy to reach if any issues arise during the trip. We planned the itinerary together, and he pointed the places that are good for only one night, and the ones that are worth staying longer. We planned an 11-day comprehensive trip, going around Morocco, more or less as many tours. He did provide us with a very nice big vehicle for the two of us (A Toyota Land Cruiser) with an English-speaking driver. In the big cities of Fez and Marakesh he provided a licensed knowledgeable guide. The drivers provide some information based on their knowledge and they do know the areas and towns one visits. In some places we met some other of his drivers as they were all going through the same circle. Our driver was very polite, always on time, and was a fairly good driver, but we accepted more information, and a little more talkative driver, as we spent many hours on the road. We stayed in mainly 4-star Hotel/Riads, but that designation is a bit deceiving, as they vary in different locations, and most were pretty good, but lacking some of the standards that we are used to. But overall, Hamid chose good places, as in some areas the options are limited. I suggest looking at the pictures, descriptions and reviews of places before you lock them. Some of the places had some minor maintenance issues, and with some better care, they could have been much better. The intention of the owners was always good, and they were great hosts in every place, trying to please and being very hospitable. So just keep in mind it's a big country, lots of travel, but you will meet wonderful, friendly and smiling locals. Most of the roads were very comfortable, and many newer roads with plenty of new gas stations along the highways with usually food, markets and clean bathrooms on the road. In addition, note that they had cell towers everywhere, even in remote areas, which made staying in touch easy. Overall, it's a fascinating country with hospitable and friendly people. Hamid route really gave us a great overall feel of the country from cities to remote villages on the Atlas Mountains, and even one night in a tent in the Sahara Desert. He is local and he knows the country well, so I will recommend his services over out of the country tour operators.Written 2 November 2023
- shkeelam0 contributionsMorocco HighlightsMy friend of I did the 9-day highlights of the Morocco tour in early October. It's an excellent tour for visiting many cities and seeing many important sights. The tour was very well organized. Hamid, the tour organizer was responsive and thorough to all my questions as I planned the entire trip via email. Our driver Ibrahim spoke English well and was easy to travel with. The guides in Fez and Marrakech were excellent. Spoke English well and knew the history of each city very well. Our guide, Amal, in Fez, took us to a bakery and mint tea shop where we were offered samples and given fresh tea. That was such a personal touch and a highlight for me. Great trip and highly recommend it.Written 22 October 2023
