        An excellent tour!
What an amazing day out with Putra! Very attentive and flexible guide showed us waterfalls and rice terraces. Kept us out of trouble and safely delivered us to where we needed to be at busy times on the road.

Oh My Agung! The mother of volcanoes - magnificent experience
We went for Mt. Agung climbing and all the way all 5 stars. Booked in the morning for the same night and it worked. Both the driver (forgot the name :( ) and the guide (Rudy) were amazing. Rudy was so much fun and friendly and caring. He took some incredible photos of us at the summit. Definitely would recommended this agency and we might use their services in the future.

Driver and Guide to Mount Agung
Punctual driver (his name is putu), gives good advice and explanations to prepare for the ascent of Mount Agung. Very respectful towards his client. 100% recommended driver! My guide's name was Leni! She's concerned about her client's comfort, ensures optimum safety both during the ascent and descent, and takes the time to take photos for you at the summit.

Skip the trip and stay in Bali its nicer
Nusa Penida wasn’t at all what we expected and turned out to be the lowest point of our entire Balinese trip. The island was experiencing a drought and was dry, arid and dusty, unlike the lush green of the green forests and rice paddies that we just left in Bali. The only tourist attraction destinations are the multitude of beaches at the base of cliffs on the eastern and western coastline of the island. And did I mention that to get to the viewing areas of these various beaches you have to traverse rocky and inclined terrain that leads you to unbelievable incongruent steps of various depths and heights with absolutely no rhyme or reason. One could be six inches tall and the next 2 feet tall! And did I mention you had to climb a minimum of 60-100 steps at each location to get to just the first stage viewing area? If you wanted to see the full extent expect to climb 250-1000 steps. We had informed the tour company that we were disabled prior to doing the tour. We were never informed that this was NOT a handicapped friendly tour. We had also informed them that one member of our group had a heart condition. They definitely should have warned us that just the walk alone from the ferry dock to the parking lot was 10 minutes in the heat. We would have insisted on stopping to buy something to drink. Finally, the air conditioning in the vehicle we were in wasn’t working properly so we were not able to cool off between beach walks. In the end we cut the tour short. We had seen 2 beaches on each coast, we didn’t need to see the last two. They were sandy beaches at the bottom of cliffs accessed by climbing treacherous terrain surrounded by lil shops selling food and souvenirs and crazy uneven depth steps. You seen one, you’ve seen them all.

Wonderful view from the top of Mount Agung, but lack of professionalism of the guide.
The views at the top of Mount Agung was wonderful, and it is really worth going up there. But I am very disappointed of my experience with our Bali Trekking Tour guide. The guide didn't really care about us, he was only interrested for being with the other guides. As we are in good shape and able to follow without complaining, he rushed to join his friends : we had to hurry up and we didn't even have time to stop for drinking or snack if we needed. While approaching the summit, they starting shouting to kidd with the guides who were lower, during one hour they didn't stop to repeat constantly the same joke, and personnaly, I find it disturbing in the mountain. I would have prefer to enjoy the peaceful nature... While going down, our guide and 2 friends of him joined up and were racing and taking videos of themselves running down. We and the other customers were left alone most of the time. It is not professionnal, and doesn't fit to the expensive price we paid for this tour !

Stunning sunrise, grueling trek not just a hike. Worth it if you are very fit
This was an amazing and once in a lifetime trek, but I’ll warn you that unless you are very fit, like you bike miles a week, trek yearly, go backpacking, or hike trails with at least 2k ft elevation gain multiple times a year this hike will be grueling and almost impossible. If you do those things you will have a good challenge but get to the top in time. TLDR - took 9 hours, 4 up and 4 down, 1 hour at the peak and we made it to the top at 5:30am. Was something like 3k ft of elevation gain, air is super thin so take deep breaths. Wear warm clothes in layers so you can take them off on the way down when the sun is out. It’s cold and windy so dress an accordingly. More than half the ppl who sign up give up, can’t make it up because it’s too physically demanding, or don’t make it in time for sunrise but still get an amazing view. I saw ppl in skimpy little work out shorts climbing up the mountain, they didn’t make it in time for sunrise and were devastated and cold. Our driver Putu was very communicative on what’s app, he confirmed pick up time and where 2 days before. He got to us 10 min early and let us sleep in the van for the 1.5 hour drive to the Pasar temple starting point at 11:30pm at night. Then we met our guide Lennie! She is very sweet, helpful, and knowledgeable of the mountain and area. She is easily the strongest women and person I have met. She does that entire hike 3 times a week often. She has been climbing is since she was 10! Safety came first, she packs extra water in case you don’t have 2L with you. She was the best guide, highly reccomend , she even helps you down as she led me with her hand as the rock scramble down can feel exhausting after 5 hours of hiking. She is very experienced and speaks English very well. She helped us any time we needed it and reminded us to drink water. Would not have been able to do it without her. Worth every dollar and step. She gives you hot tea and coffee at the bottom and top. We were not very prepared and had just running shoes on, was doable, but harder. Would be better to have trail or hiking shoes cuz this path to the 2nd lower summit is still hard, but is more rocky I hear than the true summit path via beskeith temple. Worst the effort and grueling physical and mental challenge if you are fit enough to attempt it. Otherwise do the shorter sunrise batur hike. If you don’t know what a trek is, or what a rock scramble is, better look it up.

        Unforgettable Trekking Experience
Our adventure began with the challenge of climbing Mount Agung, standing tall at 3,142 meters. We were fortunate to have our guide, Kaki, who was incredibly friendly and supportive throughout the trek. He shared fascinating stories about the area and kept our spirits high! The trek itself is quite demanding physically. We started our ascent in the dark, which added to the excitement. It took us about 5 to 6 hours to reach the summit, but every ounce of effort was worth it. The sunrise we witnessed was absolutely breathtaking—an unforgettable moment that made all the hard work pay off. The descent took another 4 to 5 hours, so it's essential to be well-prepared physically for this adventure. Overall, I can confidently say that Kaki is the best guide on the island, and this experience is one of a kind. Highly recommended for those seeking an incredible challenge and stunning views!

Well run operator for Mt Agung hike
The tour operator was responsive with my queries and driver was on time to pick us at 9pm from our hotel in Ubud. The driver, himself, is an experienced hiker and provided us with information about the climb during the drive to the temple. We started our climb at around 1115pm from the temple and reached PO2 around 250am, with a few short break in between. Our guide, Juna, is great and took great care of my wife especially during the descend. We did not summit Mt Agung and returned back to PO2 as we felt the steep and slippery trail after POS2 (some near the cliff edge) was too tough for us. Hence we waited from around 4am till sunrise at POS2. The guide started fires 🔥 while we were waiting for sunrise. We still had a beautiful sunrise and sea of clouds scenery in the morning.

        Epic adventure
Hard hike but totally worth it. Driver picked us up at 8 and we started the trek at 11pm. We had an hour of rest and our guide lit a fire, 3/4 of the way up. We headed to the top at 4 am for the sunrise. Spectacular. The trip down in daylight felt like a different trek. You need warm clothes for the top and you need to be in good shape. Worth the sweat!

        Great Tour
Excellent tour. Bali Trekking Tour were excellent throughout. Pickup was on time and driver was excellent. The hike itself is physically and mentally challenging - be prepared, I saw several people turn round. The guide was excellent, prioritised safety and set a steady pace. The views at the top are stunning - an amazing sunrise. Take warm clothes for the top.

Mt Agung Mission, what a BEAUTY!
Was a mission to get up top but was do worth the effort. The views were absolutely incredible, you feel on top of the world several hundred meters above the clouds. On top of that the guides were amazing and made the trek really fun, they supply you well with water, food, torches, hiking gloves and poles. If you are able to make the time to do this hike it is well worth it. No photos as I dont want to spoil the view you get.

I am a female solo traveller and I really wanted to see the sunrise from the top of the Mount Batur. I have a medium level of fitness and I would not have been able to get to the end if it was not for the support and the presence of my amazing guide called Gun! He was professional and patient. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish: communication via Whatsapp was reactive and clear, pick up for transfer at my door bang on time, hot beverage and prep before departure, special breakfast made by guide at the top while watching the sun rise... It was great and I really recommend.

I went with my friend and though it was cloudy/foggy and we missed the sunrise (I recommend not going on a hot day after the rain), we saw great views on the way down and the steam from the valcano was really cool. Our guide Putu was so kind and friendly and took many pictures for us, and shared about the mountain and culture. We also got a hot drink when we arrived at our starting point and some sweet crackers which was so nice. Wira, our driver was very friendly and we got to know him as we drove around in the day. We felt very safe with them both. The coffee plantation was better than we excpected and we would definitely recommend not skipping it. We were short on time as we needed to check out and Wira helped make sure everything worked out and we were on time. Thanks Putu and Wira for a fantastic day!

The tour was beautiful from beginning to end! My driver Putu was great, on time for the pick up, nice and friendly and very helpful with sharing his knowledge about Bali. We chatted the entire drive and I really enjoyed his company. I did this tour by myself and I felt very safe and respected. The hike of Mount Batur was really fun to do in the night under the stars and the view of the sunrise was incredible. My guide (Cahyadi) was very nice and experienced, and I enjoyed his company. The hotspring was a nice way to relax after the hike. We arrived early and avoided the crowd. I highly recommend this tour, I booked it in advance from my country and wasn’t sure what to expect but everything went really smoothly and the experience was beyond my expectations 🙂

We thoroughly enjoyed our trek up mount Batur and visit to the coffee plantation today. Our driver Manggku was lovely and made us feel so at ease. Our Mt. Batur guide Putu did a great job of taking us up and down safely and made us a big breakfast at the summit. The views at the summit and on the way down were breathtaking and well worth the 2:30AM pick up time from the hotel. The communication by the team in preparation for the trip was very straightforward and we highly recommend this experience.

Other reviews said that this hike is manageable. This hike was very very difficult. I am someone who works out 4-5 times a week and only managed to get half way up the mountain. The hike is extremely steep and it’s all sand. The sunrise from half way up was great. Our guide was kind and patient letting us take breaks as needed during the hike but kept trying to push us to the top even though we were happy watching the sunrise from some rocks half way up. They had dirt bikers offering to take you to the top for 350,000 IDR which we didn’t think was worth it. We did this hike in gym shoes and I wished I had my hiking boots for this hike. There is a lot of dirt and sand that will get in your eyes and mouth.

Great driver guide and review, I had a tour on Wednesday the 23rd of November and my driver collected me on time kept me up to date and the team even responded during the night when I wasn't sure I could make it.

This was my first time hiking and he was very helpful we were a small tour group just me and another solo traveller. Which was great because I did need to keep stopping for breaks on the way up 😅

      Would highly recommend

Great experience - pick up and transport to the start of the hike was early (2am) but very smooth. At the ‘base camp’ we were provided with hot coffee and biscuits to fuel us for the journey and keep us warm against the chill. The company provides a flashlight and hiking sticks/poles as well as water and food for breakfast later which was great.

Hike started at 4 am and was around 1.5 hrs, led by our sure-footed guide Kiki who was careful to check how we were getting on. The hike itself was steep in places and sandy so tough on the legs, but overall a moderate challenge.

At the top the guides prepare breakfast while waiting for sunrise. No sunrise is guaranteed but we were treated to beautiful colours once the clouds cleared a little. The summit is fairly busy but get there early and there are benches to sit on. Coffee and hot chocolate are available at the top too as it is pretty cold while waiting for the sun.

After sunrise you can see the volcanic rocks and crevices where the hot air and water emerge. They even cook eggs and steam bananas in there! The way down was easier but a hiking pole is helpful in the steep places. Took about 45 mins to reach the bottom.

Overall a unique experience and very well managed and prepared by the team. Thank you!! Very much recommended.

Amazing and worthwhile. From the pick up at our door, to the cosy cup of coffee at the base of the volcano, to our amazing & kind guide Ketut, everything was great. The hike is steep but it’s only about 2 hours. Just wear good shoes. Our guide gave us a hand whenever we needed and was only with the 4 of us. He told us some information at the top and served us a lovely breakfast with boiled eggs, cookies, fruit and banana sandwiches. Bring 250-300k cash or card if you want to get a motorbike down because otherwise it might take quite a while. The motorbike was so fun as well and the driver very kind. The coffee plantation is very interesting and was nice to try different types of coffee and herbal tea! Our driver drove us quite far afterwards on request with no extra cost. Recommended.

Incredible experience! We got picked up by our lovely driver Ketut at 2:30am who drove us to the meeting point. There we were greeted by the tour guides who gave us coffee/tea and biscuits. Our amazing tour guide Kiki then gave us walking sticks and head lamps which were a god send to help you up and up and down the mountain. My boyfriend and I did the ascend pretty quick and when we reached the top it was still dark so had plenty of time to see the full sunrise which was an experience I’ll never forget. Kiki then made us banana sandwiches and boiled eggs with fresh fruit and chocolate bars to fuel us for the rest of our trek. Kiki generously offered to take lots of pictures for me with the sunset behind me, then she took us to see the volcanic smoke coming out of the rocks. She helped me the whole way down the descend as it is quite tricky with the rocks sliding beneath your feet. Once at the meeting point again, Ketut took us to a coffee plantation which was another amazing experience. I can’t recommend bali trekking tours enough and thank you to Kiki and Ketut for making our experience even better :)
