    What to Expect
One of the most interesting destination travelers to Vietnam will not miss the opportunity to visit is Catba Island located next to Halong Bay. If  Halong Bay is famous for one of the World Heritages, Cat Ba Island is a national park of Vietnam. The island was honorably recognized by UNESCO in December 2004 as a Biosphere reserve of the world.Cat Ba is the largest island in the Bay and approximately half of its area is covered by a National Park, which is home to the highly endangered Cat Ba langur. This golden-headed langur is rarely seen, as fewer than 100 specimens are thought to survive in the wild, although it is the subject of a well-organised conservation programmer.

8.00 : You are met up with our tour guide to start the trip from your hotel in Cat Ba. Take a minibus or motorbike to the national park. It takes 5 hour hike through the mountain rain forests and valleys to Frog Lake. Along the way you have a chance to see native cats, squirrels, spotted dear, snakes, thousands of butterflies, and if you're lucky, a Cat Ba Langur.

13.00 : Arrive at remote Viet Hai village and meet the friendly local people who live inside the National Park. Lunch will be served at a local house with home cooked food at Viet Hai Village.

15.00 :  Walk from the village to the boat dock and visit Lan Ha Bay and the floating fishing village. Optional enjoy swimming at the tranquil beach.

17.00 : Return to Cat Ba Town. Trip ends at your hotel in Cat Ba.

This hike is no joke! Extremely technical as the rocks are slippery and sharp in places. Make sure you are relatively fit or determined enough to do it. It's also absolutely worth it as you truly experience the jungle and the valley at the end...More

Amazing and one of the best experiences of my life, however don't be fooled into thinking it's just a challenging walk. This trek us full on and at points we were climbing rock faces without ropes. Very wet and slippery in places and the rock...More

Hi, We got the ferry over to Cat ba island then jumped a taxi to the town. You can get the bus but they only come at certain times. and it is quite mountainous so taxi felt a bit safer. Enjoy your travels.
