About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Karen W0 contributionsAmazing day snorkeling 🐠Fantastic day, really recommend this trip. Well organised, great food and amazing snorkeling 🐠 Staff caring and a fun packed day. So glad I booked it, well worth 100%.Written 6 February 2025
- Neil W0 contributionsGreat SnorkelingAwesome trip. The best snorkeling I've ever experienced paired with some lovely relaxation time on some gorgeous beeches after a great meal put on by the crew. Good active day out lots of folk nodding off to sleep on the ride back. If you like a snorkel and are staying on Ko Lanta I'd strongly recommend giving it a go! 🤿🐟🐠🐡Written 4 February 2025
- Valmilla0 contributionsAmazing trip with very very kind crewOne of the best place and sea I ever saw in my life. Amazing route with snorkeling stop and then the paradise of Ko Rok in front of us. The SinthongChai crew has been professional and very kind with all of us, they offer fresh fruits, they gently inform about the timing of the excursions and help during the activities on water. I would Highly recommend the SinthongChai organization and Ko Rok Ko Haa visit.Written 1 February 2025
- Muggini0 contributionsI can recommend if you want to discover the underworld with a nice crewWe booked this trip from our hotel on Koh Lanta. We really wanted to snorkle and visit Koh Haa. There was a long sail to Koh Rok which was bumpy but of course it takes some time going to the islands. We had a little stormy weather which was unfortunate but the Koh Rok and Koh Haa was stunning places for snorkling! Many beautiful fish and for both islands not many corals. The team was kind, looking out for us and they’d prepared a delicious thai lunch for os as well as drinks and fresh fruit. They made sure we got on boat and off safely and they weren’t shy to lend hand. In the end they gave us a wonderful trip and many good memories. Good guides!Written 27 January 2025
- O7559AXkevins0 contributionsExcellent TourGreat excursion. The people of Thailand have these tours nailed down so well. There are usually several tours (10+) leaving from the same place, but the Thai people really have it organized so well from pick up at your hotel and dropping you off at the end of the day - so very organized, it doesn’t make it feel over touristy. The tour crew was very helpful, organized and made the excursion well worth it. The boat trip was about an hour to the first snorkel stop, snorkelling was amazing and just got better to the end of the day. Clear skies sunny, calm waters, some of the best snorkelling we have seen in our lives amazing trip!Written 23 January 2025
- Louise B0 contributionsBest trip of the holidayMy children rated this the best trip they had ever been on. The captain and staff were very kind to them and helped them spot sea creatures. They felt safe and well cared for and loved all the snorkeling spots. There were three boats and everyone who arrived was allocated a boat, so their boat was not too busy. There was a range of people of all nationalities. Everyone was nice except one Spanish woman who complained about waiting for a group who were late to arrive- “I don’t care about them, let’s go” Fortunately the captain waited despite her selfishness. The boat was a little bumpy on the way out but the kids enjoyed the ride and didn’t feel scared. They stopped to snorkel then had a delicious Thai lunch in the shade with more swimming. There were more snorkel stops and a calm ride back. Fruit and snacks were served and drinks were available on the boat. The girls were so happy when they came home and had had a wonderful experience. Definitely recommend. Thank you to the captain for taking such good care of my family.Written 7 January 2025
- Kristina B0 contributionsGreat tour and valueWe had a great time on this tour and loved Nol our tour guide, who was a pleasure. We went out on rougher water and still felt very safe and secure, Nol + crew took us to some awesome spots to snorkel which didn’t disappoint. The lunch was delicious and fresh, and the beach that you pay the fee for is beautiful and well worth it. Bring dry bag and your own towel. Transportation was easy for pickup and drop off. Overall great experience, would rec to anyone looking to snorkel / do a group tour. There were about 20 people on the tour w us plus the crew (4 or 5 guys)Written 30 November 2024
- cdash20180 contributionsWorthwhile experience! This tour is well run. Pick up from our hotel was timely and while the speedboat was full (30 people) it was basically a taxi to the snorkeling sites which were the real goal. There is a bathroom on board, but pretty rudimentary. A couple of people got seasick, I would highly recommend taking motion sickness medication if you are prone to this. I am and I did and it really helped. The first stop was Koh Haa which had mediocre snorkeling just not that much to see. The second stop was in Koh Rok which was better than Koh Haa. I saw a rather large eel, better coral and more fish. Then we went to another part of Koh Rok where the beach is and disembarked at a floating pier. This is a national park and you have to pay $400 Thb per person in addition to the tour cost for park entrance so be aware of this. Here there are picnic benches and our guides gave us lunch. I had requested a vegetarian option and was a little disappointed when I was only offered the vegetable side dish that clearly was not a main course. The grounds of the beach offer a lot of nice shade because there are trees just off the beach. We saw monitor lizards roaming about which was exciting and we had time to snorkel just off the swimming area of the beach which had some pretty fish. There are bathrooms on site as well. The beach at Koh Rok is white and the water is quite beautiful. We made one more snorkel stop at another part of Koh Rok after lunch. It was maybe the best of the lot with some sea anemone and more fish. The clarity of the water was excellent and I saw only 1 piece of garbage (a plastic bottle) in the water the whole day. Then it was back to Koh Lanta. This takes about an hour. I thought we were supposed to go by a waterfall on the return, but we never did, not sure why. Overall, the tour is worth it. The guides were nice and competent. Be sure to ask for flippers because they were not initially offered. You will be driven back to your hotel which is very helpful. I only wish the beach at Koh Lanta where we departed from was cleaner. There is a significant amount of plastic garbage on it and it really degrades the area and experience for all people, locals and tourists - this in not the fault of the tour just a big picture observation. Overall, this tour was a positive experience and worth the time and money!Written 20 November 2024
- Discover674440920480 contributionsIf you are in Koh Lanta, don't miss this fantastic trip.Great trip. Staff was very kind and helpful. Captain did some snorkeling with us and showed us some moray eels which most people would have missed. He showed me a cave where we were snorkeling, which was awesome. The food on the trip was very tasty. The sea life and coral is mind blowing. I will book again in 2 days because the trip was that good. You will love this trip.Written 19 November 2024
- K8737DCdavidh0 contributionsRecommended. Great trip lots to see.Excellent day trip. Well organised with very helpful and very considerate staff. The snorkelling was excellent with plenty to see. The lunch was excellent, tasty and wholesome. Plenty of water on tap when required. Pick up & drop offs were smooth and efficient. Too much sun in the bow so sit near the driver as the engines are noisy and slightly fumes.Written 14 November 2024
- thisiscindi0 contributionsWould recommend3 separate snorkelling options, all of which were pretty good (better than the snorkelling we’ve had during Ao Nang tours!) Guides were knowledgable and friendly, the yacht was clean and modern. As most other tours, it can be a bit packed. however, it was definitely not the worst we’ve been on, and in total there were maybe 3-4 other yachts doing the same tour as us so it was busy but definitely not unbearable.Written 9 November 2024
- Zsuzsa K0 contributionsan unforgettable adventureThe tour was excellent. nice staff, there was enough time for snorkeling. We saw beautiful corals and fishes. I really recommend it to everyone who likes to snorkel.Written 22 March 2024
- julierD4599PR0 contributionsUnforgettable experience! We went on two trips with Tin adventures 3 weeks ago and they were some of the best trips of our vacation. The crew of 4 were really friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The captain himself was in the water and showed us a lot of good places to snorkel. Everything worked really well and the lunch they prepared for us on the beach was very delicious. You get a lot of value for money. Thank you for this amazing and unforgettable experience! We give Tin adventures our best recommendations! :)Written 20 March 2024

This was amazing! The guides really make this tour. One guide snorkeled with us and showed us all the good spots! His spirit was amazing. He is an active person who seems to love this so much. You have 3 stops to snorkel for 30 minutes+ a piece. Lunch was wonderful. There’s also snacks and fruit and water and sodas. The timing is perfect. Boat has shade and our tour wasn’t too crowded. Mix of people from various countries, ages, adults and kids. They also have a guide of common tropical fish in the area. The spots you stop are locations you’d never get on your own. We were secluded and private a lot of the time. No crowds and didn’t feel touristy. I’d do it again and so worth the money.

Friendly and professional crew, taking us to beautiful sights! Our guide did a great job telling us timelines for the day (boat travel time and time at each stop), and was informational about activities. On our day, the Emerald Cave was filled with jelly fish (at lunch, the boats that went in the morning told our guide). Our guide told us before we went, and gave our boat the option of not going or going so the crew could look if the jellies were gone. They were not gone, so we did not go in. While it would have been cool to see the Emerald Cave, I am grateful the crew and guide were honest about risks and dangers. The other stops all had great snorkeling! Mask and snorkel are provided, no fins. At the last snorkel spot, most people stayed on the beach but my husband and I went to snorkel. We went the wrong way off the beach and would have missed the reef, but the captain came into the water and gave us a guided tour of the reef.

Best tour I have done so far in Thailand. The swimming through the cave was a great experience - there were life jackets for anyone that didn’t feel confident swimming the distance or in the sea. The crew had a dry bag for your phones so you could swim without them but have them at the beach at the end of the cave/tunnel. We weren’t able to stop at all of the snorkelling sights due to lots of jelly fish - the crew took great care to ensure where we swam was safe. The food at lunch was good and I was catered for as a vegetarian which most tours haven’t done. The beach stops were great too. All in all a great day out.

Good tour but nothing special. I think the guides should highlight the distance they will be swimming while snorkeling as fins and sting suits are not provided. Our third stop was a long swim and the tide changed so a few people had to be pulled from the water with a lot of help from others on the tour rather than the guides (several others had already got out due to stings in the water). The Emerald Cave is the highlight here and we went there first so the rest of the trip didn't quite live up to it. The last stop was on a small beach with some cafés and very choppy water so didn't think it was worth it.

Thans for your honest review. The current can be quite strong and the guides and staff always inform all guests before leaving for 4 Islands. On a good day the impression is quite different, so we hope the next time the sea will be more calm.

Amazing! Best snorkelling trip I’ve been on by far - staff were very friendly and gave really good tours of all the snorkelling spots, seeking out sting rays, starfish and even a turtle to show us! Definitely worth booking whilst you’re in koh lanta! At the end they took us through the mangroves to see the monkeys as well - they really went above and beyond!

Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear you had an amazing snorkeling trip with us in Koh Lanta. Our staff is always happy to help you discover the underwater world, and we're glad they could show you some incredible marine life! There are a zillion tourists all going out the island tours every day, so expect it to be crowded. Having said that, Tin Adventures is organised and makes sure everything runs smoothly. They have lots of water during the day, a few snacks, a great boat, and friendly staff. You'll have a fantastic day!

The best tour on the island.
Friendly people, nice boat and the trip was really nice.
No hurry, just relax and enjoy.
When snorkeling stay with the captain, he knows the right spots and has a great job😉
I would prefer this one above the Koh Rok tour. Better snorkeling spots and more time.

Very interesting to see other islands island Koh Lanta.
But was very much boating in comparison to time spent in water / beach.
Emerald Cave was an experience. Highly recommended.
The snorkeling was good, not the best. Bad coral reef where we got to snorkel the day.
The staff was world class, as always in Thailand.
Can be recommended, but there are certainly better alternatives, and worse

Such a fabulous day! Really good communication and an easy pick up from our hotel made for a good start. Swimming through The Emerald Cave was a great experience. People might feel a little apprehensive but it is really worth doing. Yes, there were quite a few boats there but I don’t feel it detracted from the overall experience. Then off to another 2 islands to do some snorkeling. Some of the best snorkeling I’ve ever done, so many fish! The guides were fantastic and good at taking you to the best spots and pointing out lots of different sea creatures. Fabulous lunch of Chicken, rice and Curry. Then on to another island for the last stop. Such a beautiful beach with Crystal clear water - great relaxing spot! Then we were dropped off on the beach just by our accommodation. We went with our 2 teenage girls and had a fantastic day out! This trip had a little bit of everything! Thank you. 💕

Our group enjoyed much in 4 island trip. There was enough staff who organised everything for the group, kept up with the schedule, served water, cola and juice. I enjoyed that the trip was not too easy: swimming through the cave was amazing and snorkling on the quite huge waves requires swimming skills (lifejackets are available).
We had a very windy day with big waves. I was scared in the boat but we did have a very good driver.

1. Around what time will we get back to Sala Dan Pier? (Need to take ferry after tour)
2. Is there any shop we can keep out luggages near Sala Dan Pier?

I think we got back around 4 ish. But I don’t know where you could leave luggage. Maybe the pier itself perhaps!
