        Experience of a lifetime
Visited the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, Agabat Valley, and the Old and New White Desert. We’re amazed by the surreal scenery and the variety of landscapes in the area. Stargazing at night was incredible. And Mohammed is the best tour guide, chef and photographer all in one. He grew up in this area, was passionate about his work, and spoke excellent English. He made a great dinner right in the middle of the desert, which was one of the best food I’ve had in Egypt! He helped us to take so many amazing pictures too. Ahmed, the driver who drove us from and back to Cairo, was professional and friendly as well. It’s a 4 to 5-hour drive from Cairo to the staring point of the tour, but in the end I think it’s all worth it. Don’t miss it if you’re coming to Egypt!

        Amazing
We had a very great journey with Mohammed. The trip is well-designed, they bring you to couple of different spot. Among those, I really enjoy the camping and white desert. I would recommend my friend who wants to visit Egypt to book a trip with them.

        Best experience in Egypt
Best desert tour. Family run business, lot of respect and empathy for their customers. Mohammed Khozam makes you feel comfortable from the very beginning. We are a family with two daughters, a kid and a teen. Super safe. I hired a one night tour directly with them via email and WhatsApp, easy. Then everything was perfectly organized. Mohammed knows the desert like the palm of his hand, it was a truly wonderful experience far beyond our expectations: the places we visited were awesome, the overnight in the desert really comfortable and tasteful, the travelling in the roof of the off-road during a pair of safe and easy sand slots is something we will never forget. I'm writing this review after visiting Giza and Luxor which was great too, but I can 100% say that this was our best experience in Egypt.

        DO NOT MISS THIS!!!
Let me just start by saying....book the tour!!!! I booked directly with Mohammed Khozam directly via What’s App +20 127 570 9430 This was the most amazing experience and Mohammed and his family made it one to remember for the rest of our lives. The sights were amazing, the food was delicious, and the kindness and friendships made priceless. He arranged everything including round-trip transfer from Cairo in a comfortable car with a professional driver. The communication was spot on from the first inquiry right up to him checking up on us after our arrival back to Cairo. He grew up in the white desert helping his dad give tours and is proudly following in his footsteps and doing it right!!! He knows all the hidden spots for the perfect photos and cooks the most delicious meals on the camp fire. I could go on and on but you're probably tired of reading and hopefully sending him a message via What’s App right now.

        Best Wild Camping Adventure 😍
This tour with Mohammed and his cousin was just awesome! We’re still amazed by all the beautiful nature we could see in the desert. In addition they prepared really delicious food for us and we could sleep under the stars. We would recommend this tour to everyone who loves adventures and who wants to calm down from the business of the daily life.

The best experience and white desert
We just coming back from the white desert with Mohammed family who know the desert very well and very very good desert experience. Food was very delicious and camping under the stars was really amazing. If you come to Egypt you need to not miss this experience with this Beduin family who are very friendly and kind. Really we feel very safe with them. Strong recommended this tour guide!

Wow…this is an experience of a lifetime. Mohammed, was nothing short of an incredible guide. As a native of the area, his family are the original guides in the White Desert, and his knowledge of the area is unparalleled. They are some of the nicest people I have ever met, his mother made us a delicious lunch before we set out for the day and greeted us so warmly upon our return.

Mohammed's expertise allowed me to experience the desert in a way that was far beyond my expectations. His in-depth knowledge of the history made the ride out to the desert very enjoyable as I learned so much every step of the journey. Combined with his keen sense of the right spots to see at the right times of the day, maximizsed the experience and left me in awe. Imagine some incredible views that just keep getting better as you go (I won't spoil it for you), sunset over the white surface that looks otherworldly, a delicious dinner bedouin style, a night under a sky full stars with a fire, tea, and a hookah if you would like, the most comfortable tent I have ever slept in with a mattress and warm blankets, a gorgeous sunrise, and some fun surprises as well.

To make it even better…Mohammed has excellent photography skills I thought I took good photos but I ended up handing him my phone and he took of the rest creating perfect shots time after time and teaching me some tricks that I can use the rest of the trip.

Overall, the experience with White Desert Nights was beyond expectations. If you're looking for an authentic experience with a guide who truly knows the desert like the back of his hand, I highly recommend White Desert Nights with Mohammed. My time with him left a deep appreciation for the beauty and history of the desert and his culture.

Thank you, Mohammed for an unforgettable journey into the heart of the desert.

I don’t know where to start with this experience at White Dessert with Mohammed, it was just so awesome. I’d start by saying that Mohammed is a very passionate and honest guide who is very interested in giving you an authentic and wonderful experience. A lot of reviews said that this is one of their best experiences in Egypt and I was not sure if that would be the case as there is so much to Egypt that it would be surprising that an unknown part of the country would be the highlight for many people. I can now see why they said it, it truly is unbelievable.

The Bahariya Oasis area is a good 4 hrs from Cairo, but it is an east drive and not tiring at all, the driver arranged by Mohammed is a nice guy as well. We reached Mohammed’s home/hotel around noon and he served us a simple home cooked meal. Then we started to the desert, starting with the Black Dessert, and then the Crystal Mountain, and then finally to the White Dessert, some sand boarding fun and a great view for sunset. The drive thro the dessert is a fun adventure by itself, and Mohammed takes you to some great spots for pics. Then you reach the camp where he puts up the tents for the small group. We relaxed around the fire as Mohammed, his brother Mahmoud and his cousin start cooking dinner for us. The dinner was very sumptuous, and was served inside a beautiful tent, and then you also get warm mint tea which is perfect for a night at the dessert. You also get to see the beautiful sky, I’ve never seen so many stars in my life, and the milkyway is so cleary visible. Then you wake up in the morning for a beautiful sunrise, and a nice breakfast and tea/coffee before we head out to a few more scenic spots. We then headed back to his base, but before that stopped by quick at a Hot Spring for a very refreshing dip that took away all the sand in the body. We were back in Cairo by 5.30 pm.

All thro the trip you see so many breathtaking views, changing landscape and colors of the desert, and some good stories about the place from Mohammed. This clearly was the highlight of our trip as well, and it definitely worth more than the money you pay. As someone who has travelled to many countries, and attended a variety of tours, I can say that this one by Mohammed is one of the best, and is total value for money, and Mohammed is one of the best guides I have ever seen, honest, passionate and so friendly. He also made sure that we reached safely to our hotel in Cairo.

Thanks Mohammed for everything you did !!!

My wife and I just finished the Overnight Tour of the White Desert with Mohammad.

Summary: Incredible trip (10/10) that is completely worth doing if you are in Egypt. If you are in the fence about doing this, rest assured that it is a good choice. It's is a unique experience with great people that takes you to a part of Egypt that realistically deserves almost as much attention as Egyptian History. One night is good, but we would do at least two nights if we were to do it again!

Mohammed was kind enough to find us a driver to take us from Giza to the Bahariya Oasis, and he also found us extra passengers which saves us half of the trip costs.

All of the stops in the itinerary were great. The Black Desert was very cool with some amazing colour contrasts of black on yellow, and the short but steep walk up the hill was a good way to exercise the legs after the long drive.

Crystal Mountain was really interesting. There are crystals EVERYWHERE and you get to spend some time trying to find the nicest one. For us it was probably the least enjoyable part of the tour, but it is a must-see destination in this area and was very enjoyable (the worst of the best).

Next up was the Agabat Valley (the Valley of Obstacles). This area was absolutely incredible. Straight out of a movie and easily the most inspiring place during the entire tour for us.

After this we went sand boarding on a dune. This isn't why you would go on this tour, so nothing crazy, but fun for some of the other people on the tour.

We wrapped up the day by travelling into the White Desert to watch the sunset and enjoy a delicious charcoal barbequed chicken dinner. Also very vegetarian friendly.

The stargazing was great in the evening, especially once the moon had set behind the hills. Tons of shooting stars!

We woke up early to watch the sunrise and then spent the morning touring the White Desert. The desert is filled with rocky pinnacles and spires that are amazing. Lots of stops throughout this part of the tour to walk around and take photos.

We wrapped up the tour at a local hot spring in Bahariya, which was very hot but also really refreshing.
Don't let the look of the pool disappoint you, it is truly a volcanic hot spring and your skin feels fantastic afterwards. Just dipped ours legs and arms in because it was a hot day and also hot pool, but it was a perfect way to wash the sand off.

All in all, 10/10 experience and we will absolutely go back if/when we are back in Egypt.

We (myself, my partner and our 15-year-old son) had such a fantastic time touring the Black and the White Deserts with Mohammed. From the amazing scenery and the absolutely delicious, freshly prepared meals to our welcoming host, this experience was one of our best – and should definitely be on your list when visiting Egypt.

Everything was perfectly organised, including the transfer to and from Giza/Cairo airport. Everything went smoothly and on time.

To start with, Mohammed and his family welcomed us for lunch in the Baharyia Oasis – at their place, itself an oasis in the oasis. Fresh drinks and a delicious meal topped up our energies for the day ahead. During the tour, Mohammed showed us many great places, with beautiful rock formations, incredible views, amazing colours and, also, the rather impressive Crystal Mountain. He told us fascinating background stories and we had really interesting conversations.

We then camped in the desert. Mohammed set up in no time a functional kitchen and a charming dining area and then proceeded to cook a lovely meal with the best grilled chicken ever. After watching the stars (so many!) we slept so well in the tent he had set up for us. The day after we enjoyed some sandboarding and then bathed in a (very) hot spring.

Throughout all this, Mohammed was patient, kind and informative without being intrusive. Moreover, through his local knowledge and expertise we were able to find out so much more about the places we saw and gain an insight into the daily lives of the people there. Mohammed is a very pleasant and competent guide and we wholeheartedly recommend both him and his tour.

Mohammed was an excellent host and guide. He's very friendly and knowledgable about the whole area, as he grew up exploring the desert. His english is perfect so we didn't have amy trouble communicating. He also made amazing photographs of us and cooked us a very tasty chicken dinner.
We stayed overnight in the white desert and woke up to a surreal sunrise, after spending the evening next to a campfire, drinking beduine tea and just relaxing and chatting. We also had a visit from the elusive desert fox!
In summary: it was well worth the 4 hour drive from Cairo, and it was the highlight of our trip to Egypt!

100% one of the highlights of our 2 week trip to Egypt. What an experience to go off-roading in a 4x4 across some beautiful scenic desert planes. The Black and White Deserts are one of the most unique places you’ll ever see. We felt like VIPs taking some routes that our expert host, Mohammed, knew so well (he learned from his father, who was one of the first guides in the area back in the day). We stopped at great locations for photos (which he helped take!) and brief historic/educational overviews of what we were seeing. Mohammed scouted for the perfect overnight spot in the White Desert, set up camp, cooked dinner for us and we enjoyed a peaceful night’s sleep looking up at the breathtaking stars. The standard tour companies do not include desert safari options in their packages, but we are so very glad we went outside of our itinerary to do this. It may be a fair ride outside Cairo (but Mohammed arranged very efficient pick up and drop off from Marriott Mena House), but it is totally worth it. What made it even more special was his professionalism, kindness, and great company. You can feel and experience he cares deeply about his clients/guests. You are in the best, safest and most knowledgeable hands, from the moment Mohammed welcomes you to his family home with a authentic lunch before you set off on your overnight adventure, to the time you depart for Cairo the following day.

Traveling to the Black and White deserts with Mohammed was excellent!

The communication was exceptional and always prompt, from my first text to organize the trip to the transfer from Cairo (he sent a photo of the car and GPS coordinates of where I could find the driver) to him checking in to ensure that I made it safely back to my hotel in Cairo after my visit to the desert.

His knowledge of the deserts and special photo stops was especially great. It was clear that I was traveling with an expert. I felt very safe as a solo female and I left with a much greater understanding of this region of Egypt. I traveled with two other guests and Mohammed was 100% focused on ensuring that we all had a great experience.

The transfers to/from his family's lodge were seamless. The drivers were very safe, always on time, and the cars were in great condition.

The camp in the desert was also very nice. Mohammed cooked a wonderful dinner and breakfast. The camp and tents were extremely clean and had everything needed for a nice night in the desert.

I highly recommend this experience with Mohammed.

First of all, the main guide Muhammad was amazing with full of knowledge related to the area and great English. He was also a good chef, photographer, and company to talk about many things.
However, only a shame was because we did a last minute reservation, we couldn't have him until the night. His brother came for us and took us around but he didn't speak English that well and surely lacked the knowledge he supposed to know. Also, the last minute reservation cost us 120 US DOLLARS for a round trip from Cairo. Private car is the ONLY option to get to the oasis. They told us it would have been durable if we would have made reservation several days before. As a constructive review, the tour company definitely can mention about those things that last minute reservation may cause a lot of extra money and a lack of guide with full knowledge.
But again, I think it's only the case or a last minute reservation and if you book this tour in advance like a week before, it never let you down!!!

Immediately I knew this trip was going to be good upon meeting Mohammed and getting into some deep talks with him about Egypt and our interests. He has a passion for meeting new people and showing them the beauty of the desert. He gave me a few minutes at each location to be by myself and experience the rawness of the nature around me. The food was all amazing, and getting to sleep in the middle of the desert was an insanely peaceful part of my Egypt trip. An amazing experience that I would’ve done for more days if I had the time.
