We had a private lesson with a ski instructor called TONI. If you’re going ask for him, he had me - Jess, my partner Ben and son Ollie all skiing within 2hrs !!! All complete beginners, he is so patient we then booked him for just our son the next morning. He’s made our holiday and we will be back next year. Thank you. They were absolutely amazing!! Gave me really good advice for skiing with a sprained ankle and helped me getting into the boot as painlessly as possible. They also offered us a fantastic deal for our group and were very chill with letting me pay discounted price although I did it on a day by day basis due to my injury. All my friends got excellent service and help when we had problems, super friendly as well and happy to have a chat about finding what's best for you!

We hired all our ski equipment, lift passes and private lessons through Traventuria in Borovets this February half term, could't fault them. Tried on the equipment the night before our hire started so that we didn't have to spend time the next day faffing about with it all, which was great. Booked private lessons for myself and 2 teenage sons who hadn't done any skiing at all. Met Rady with no problems at all outside the Rila hotel. He was fantastic, so patient, informative and jovial, he made our skiing lessons such a pleasure. Would definitely recommend and will be using them next time we go.

We had group Snowboarding lessons for 5 days with Radi. He was a brilliant instructor, really knowledgeable about everything like the right boot fit, bindings, foot position, stance and board. I had done Snowboarding for 1 day years ago on holiday so I was an absolute beginner. Thanks to Radi at the end of the 5 days i could heel and toe turn, stop with ease and even attempted a few red slopes confidently. I will definitely book in again next year for advanced lessons. All the staff at Traventuria were really friendly and professional too.

Beware - no safety training or first aid probably not fully insured with liability insurance bad company. We booked a trip through balken for this experience, 4 adults and 5 children, no proper instruction, helmets not suitable sizes, we went to the top, road was full of bumps and not smooth, one driver crashed and hit a tree, female came flying over the top of the bike, inexperienced staff with no first aid training and no first aid kit or blankets, no WiFi or phone signal and they had no way of communication to call for help. Male rider was seriously injured and Unconcious with head injury, they argued about damage to the skidoo had to be told to ring an ambulance and go for help, no first aid training, luckily one of our party worked for NHS and advised to keep male in ground, they argued and didn't listen and when he woke up tried to walk him down the mountain. Blood coming from his ears horrendous experience we were very lucky it wasn't one of us or our children. Staff didn't care didn't even apologise to us and didn't care about anyone involved. Some of our group witnessed it and was in shock over what happens kids were crying and very cold We went into hut to get our stuff, no first aid kits. We reported it to Balken they weren't really interested and continued to sell this excursion. We were told by Balken to go and get a refund from the skidoo club went and spoke to the owner who had no intention of giving us out money backnand was really rude. It's also classed as an extreme sport so if anything happens your not covered my normal travel insurance.

Fantastic service as always! The team were amazing over email and really helped! I used them before and I would always use them in Bovorets for lessons and hire. The heated lockers are superb and so close to the slopes!

0 stars If I could leave less I would. Arranged a transfer from the airport and prepaid. Emailed and checked the booking process before hand but they still didn’t arrive to collect. Leaving 5 people at the airport in the middle of winter at 1am with no way of getting to the hotel, resulting in having to pay five times as much by taxi. Spoke with them in the shop and they apologised and said it was a genuine mistake, told to email head office. Head office have refused to refund the amount paid, never mind the cost of the taxis even after I sent them photos of correspondence and booking confirmation!!! Appalling customer service and very rude.

Great service - hired equipment and booked private lessons. Equipment was good quality and easy to swap when we had a few niggles. Instructors were excellent (especially Toni) and patient!

Sat with an instructor as wasn’t confident alone and had the best experience !! The snow was perfect and plenty of it. Stunning views 👍🏻

Booked this with my wife who had never been on a skidoo before and was soooo looking forward to it. 3 other groups of ‘youths’ also booked with us. Obvious from setting off they were going to clown around. We were in the middle of them when we set off. 2 behind overtook us on a VERY narrow track and nearly ran us off down a slope. This completely upset and unnerved my wife and we swapped seats ending her driving. Words were had when we stopped and the ‘youths’ didn’t care nor the Skidoo leader. We reported them when we were back about their reckless dangerous behaviour and the rental company also didn’t care. Nature of the beast basically with no apology. Make sure you are at the back then at least idiots are where you can see them.

Hi, I would like to pass on my most sincere thanks and also praise for Tony your freelance ski instructor. I’m a 44 year old Electrical Engineer and have never touched a ski in my life. After 3 x 2 hour lessons I was parallel ski-ing down a blue slope. What a patient, highly competent and skilled instructor. Thank you for making my learning experience excellent.

Used these guys both times for when visiting. Good quality kit, quick and efficient set up. Only downside was the walk from our hotel (Rila) but it wasn’t that far, just the hill on ski boots isn’t great fun with little kids

Came to Borovets having learnt to ski before - but decided to be difficult and switch to snowboarding. My snowboard instructor (cannot remember his name I do apologise! - he was on his 10th tour I think) was amazing, and by the end of the 4th lesson we were going down reds comfortably - felt safe and in capable hands going down the slopes with him. Meanwhile, my friends (we were all together on a Stag Do) were having skiing lessons with Stefan - who even let me join in on the afternoon sessions. He was very nice and ensured everyone felt comfortable with the difficulty - it was nice getting to know him throughout the week and he had some very good suggestions for restaurants. Would highly recommend to anyone heading to Borovets.

Went skiing with a group of friends and had a brilliant time! Everyone at Traventuria was so friendly and made the whole process so easy. Can’t speak highly enough of our ski instructor George , he catered excellently to the varying levels of the group and looked after us so well for the entire week and made sure we were all ok when most of the resort was shut down due to coronavirus - bringing us food and checking in on us constantly! We will be back for sure 😊

Excellent service provided by Traventuria who made sure we had nothing to worry about as soon as we landed in Sofia Airport. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful but our instructor George really made the holiday, he went out of his way to make sure we all learned as much as possible while skiing and had an enjoyable holiday overall. Varying skill levels and schedules were accommodated to, really can't recommend enough!!
