The Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí is a purpose-built area built for the Rio de Janeiro oficial Carnival parade, Brazil. It is located in the downtown area of Cidade Nova in Rio de Janeiro, and is the place where samba schools parade competitively each year during the Rio Carnival.

Tijuca National Park
The Tijuca Forest is home to hundreds of species of plants and wildlife, many threatened by extinction, and found only in the Atlantic Rainforest (Mata Atlântica in Portuguese). The vegetation is so dense that scientists have estimated that ambient temperatures in surrounding areas have been lowered by up to 9 °C. The forest also contains around 30 waterfalls.In 1961, Tijuca Forest was declared a national park.
