About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- SpillaPazzo0 contributionsTours Rio de JaneiroWe did 3 footballmatches, 1 groundhoppingtour, favelatour and a jungle and mangrovetour with Bravietour. Rodrigo and his guides Gaby, Gabriel, Arnaldo and Vinicius were great. They made Rio unforgettable for us. Thanks!Written 23 November 2017
- lestoth10 contributionsVisiting North and NorthEast of BrazilMy wife and I Just came back, September 2017, from a 3 week visit to northern and northeastern Brazil, including the Amazon region. We wanted to see the country outside or Rio and SP with minimal tourists. Rodrigo made all arrangements for us and did a great job. He booked us in the most interesting and centrally located small hotels where we could walk and enjoy the city or town where we staid. Even though we do not speak the language most of the time we were by ourselves and we had no troubles or problems, but whenever we got lost or needed help, he was on the phone with us to help us out. He was great. If anybody is interested in visiting Brazil, I cannot recommend a better person than Rodrigo to make arrangements for you and help you with great ideas. He knows the country very well and knows lots of people in case you need help. We do not like tours, we enjoyed the arrangements he made for us. Of course we were careful, but we had no trouble in Brazil. Highly recommend Ilha de Boipeba.Written 8 October 2017
- Mandy C0 contributionscultural tour of Centro and Santa TheresaMy friend and I spent a day with Ceci. Her tour was fabulous. She's knowledgeable but doesn't spend the day giving endless facts which will be immediately forgotten. During our walk through Centro, she seemlessly blended historical and modern. She enthusiastically answered our endless questions about life in Rio. Her passion for the city and country comes through. She was very flexible, adapting the day to take into account that we had already visited a number of places. Do ask her about climbing up inside the statue of Christo Redentor- it's a very cool story! I look forward to going out with her again soon!Written 23 April 2017
- NVLonghorn0 contributionsFabulous day exploring Rio de JaneiroI spent a full day with Rodrigo touring the historical and cultural sites in Rio--which is a fabulous city to begin with. I am an American woman and was traveling alone; I had been warned to be very careful in Rio, but I spent a wonderful day exploring the city. Rodrigo is knowledgable and good company, and he provided a wonderful combination of history and Brazilian culture. When he discovered I enjoyed street art, he made sure I saw several notable examples. The day flew by; it was one of the best touring days I've had anywhere. I highly recommend Rodrigo and Bravietour for those visiting Rio de Janeiro.Written 17 April 2017
- Sara C0 contributionsAwesome city highlight tourI joined the city highlight tour in Rio de Janeiro. We were a small group and Rodrigo showed us the most famous places in Rio. Everything was very well organized so we managed to move quickly to the sights. He gave us a lot of interesting background information on the sights, the city and the country itself. He was also able to speak German and even knows how to speak seven other languages, so he can share his knowledge about this beautiful place. So I can fully recommend on going on a tour with Bravietour, it is absolutely worth it.Written 5 April 2017
- laurenjess20170 contributionsCity & Favela Tour By An Incredible GuideMyself and partner joined Rodrigo on a city tour and a favela tour during our time before Carnaval in Rio, both were incredible. Rodrigo is friendly, helpful and passionate about Rio. The fact he can speak 8 languages is amazing in itself and shows the passion he has to share Rio with the world. Rodrigo would go above and beyond with answering your questions and helping where he could. We were even offered to join another tour and dance in the parade during Carnaval but were unable to commit due to other arrangements. This would have been incredible and I thank Rodrigo for the opportunity and his fantastic tours. Could not recommend enough!!Written 14 March 2017
- OzKatUk0 contributionsExcellent city tourHad a fantastic tour of the city from Rodrigo. Covered the highlights with loads of information about Rio and Brazil in general. Smoothly executed and a friendly, helpful guide - what more can you ask for?!Written 22 February 2017
- Sonja V0 contributionsGood informative tourWe had the pleasure to visit the Olympic Games in Rio august 2016. Through a trusted friend we booked 2 tours with Rodrigo, it was great! His Dutch and English are of high standard and his knowledge of the places we were visiting, the city, the Olympics, history, politics and economics made it possible to easily learn a lot in a short time with all of Rio's beauty surrounding us. The transportation, tours, time for coffee and all the information make it a great deal. I would definitely recommend booking a tour with Bravietour.Written 16 November 2016

- Agnieszka G0 contributionsExcellent tour guideWe were very lucky to have Rodrigo as our guide and interpreter while filming a documentary in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. Clearly a bright man with a great interest in social issues and culture, he knows his city inside out. Rodrigo is very thoughtful and reliable, we felt safe the whole time in Rio. Every detail of our stay was organized perfectly and professionally. Rodrigo also has a great sense of humor and speaks eight languages. He is the best guide you could ask for & I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Bravietour to others.Written 19 October 2016
- Anne L0 contributionsfavella tourWe had a fantastic tour through the favella in Rio. Rodrigo was our guide and showed us the minamalistic life in the favella. Up the hill we had a beautifull view over copacabana. He gave us a safe and comfortable feeling during the trip. We had a delicious lunch in the favella, the food was very good. Rodrigo speaks dutch fluently. His english and german is also very good. He is very kind and can tell you everything you want to know about Rio. I hope everyone will have the same wonderfull experience as we had in Rio. But if thats up to Rodrigo you will !!Written 20 July 2016
- Patrik D0 contributionsFavella TourHad a great tour and we were guided by Gabrial a delightful young man who grew up in the favela and had a deep knowledge of life in the favella. Spoke excellent English and had an answer for all of our questions. Highly recommend the tour to give you a real snapshot of life in the favella.Written 20 December 2015
- FaronShiem0 contributionsThe best way to see RioWhat a great way to Rio, with Rodrigo showing us all the angles of the city, from the touristy spots to the favelas and even an unbelievable soccer game. You gotta see a soccer game if you're there, I think he's a Crucero fan wearing a Flamengo shirt ;) Speaks about 5+ languages, with us was in Dutch ja. I know German, Spanish and English are there for sure too. The tour was well paced, from bus rides, walking around, iconic restaurants/neighborhoods etc. He is well aware of the history as well as the current developments, so I bet next time the tour would be completely different. The truth is Rio is beautiful, Rodrigo & Bravietour will make sure you see it that way too!Written 27 September 2015
- Linda K0 contributionsVery experienced guidesAmazing tour guides with great language skills. Really dynamic and showed me exactly the kind of things that I would like to see in Rio. Really had the impression that I got to see some gems in Rio that not everyone would know of.Written 31 August 2015
- Nick S0 contributionsOne of our best experiences in Brazil, a real must in Rio!Our 1/2 day walking tour of a favela in Rio was one our best experiences in Brazil. Rodrigo grew up next to the neighbourhood and his close relationship with the community made us feel very much at home and accepted. He spoke knowledgeably and in great depth in English about how the favela operated and introduced us to many of his friends all of who were very welcoming. His tour is very respectful of the community, unlike many others, and some of the proceeds from the tour actually fund an English school Rodrigo has set up for local children in the favela. Well worth the money and included a free lunch at a great little restaurant. A great insight into favela life and a real must if you want to get off the beaten path and discover the real RioWritten 28 August 2015
