What to Expect
Make your own way to the central Austin meeting point at least 20 minutes before your departure and board your air-conditioned Mercedes-Benz van.

From your transportation, see about 40 landmarks including the Texas State Capitol, Moonlight Tower, University of Texas, Mayfield Park and Driskill Hotel, which is rumored to be haunted.

Cruise past Lady Bird Lake, and then head down Congress Avenue to East Austin, where you can see the Texas State Cemetery and French Legation State Historic Site, once home to the French government and the oldest structure in Austin. Check out vibrant 6th Street, the heart of Austin’s live music scene.

Finally, travel into the picturesque Texas Hill County, a region known for its wine and elegant mansions. Your tour ends with return to your original departure point in central Austin.

Great tour. Interesting history and fact filled commentary. Would recommend this as the first thing you do. Than decide which parts of Austin you would like to further explore.

Unsatisfactory tour

The microphone on the bus did not work so could not hear narration. He should have investigated option to correct problem. The bus was not cool. Bus did not slow down to see some of the sites or to take pictures. He could have slowed...More

Very limited street parking. Not sure if there are parking meters or not. We walked. You may want to check on parking garages in the area.
