A brilliant tour with Mike who is very knowledgeable about the history of this district and the Samurai period.We especially enjoyed the walk through the garden and the zombie trees.

I had a very beautiful day full of good energy. Kim the guide is amazing she gave me all the explanations, also off-topic questions regarding Japan and Japanese. I was very lucky because I was the only one on the tour and I felt that after a while we became “friends”. Thank you Kim.

We had such a great tour with Dai! I wanted to do a Shukubo stay while in Japan, but we got that and so much more with this tour. We tried oyaki, a regional specialty made over an open flame, visited a spice store, walked the busy market street leading to the temple, and got an excellent tour of Zenko-ji. We added the walk through the temple’s underground passage to find the key to paradise and the morning service as well. It was a day packed with new experiences for us and added something special and unique to our Japan trip - really an unforgettable tour!!

Shawn was an excellent guide - he was informative and attentive to our needs. He took extra effort to ensure that the group was safe, especially as the trail to the snow monkey park was not easy to navigate. The tour was fun and the lunch was delicious, with choices given. I would highly recommend this tour!!!

It was a full day beautiful trip. The reason for visiting Nagano basically. Great sake tasting experience and the temple is magnificent. We were also lucky to see monkeys.

Our trip to Japan was filled with unforgettable moments, but meeting Beth and having her guide us through Shinjuku and Shibuya was truly a standout experience! Beth’s deep knowledge, patience, and warm personality made our walking tour absolutely seamless and incredibly fun. It was an excellent trip. My friends and I enjoyed this trip very much, especially our guide (Joyce) was very informative and showed us not only the tourist's highlight but also the hidden away places. As well as a superb lunch of noodles ! Also thanks to the driver who drove us safely. I will definitely join other trips by Snow Monkey again.

An excellent trip with authentic traditional food and lodgings. The guides, particularly Dai, were excellent and helpful even assisting with booking us on other excursions. Would highly recommend that if you are doing a temple stay this is the one you choose.

We all knew the risk of not seeing any monkeys because of the time of year, but there they were. This was a brilliant experience along with our guide, Endo-san. A big thanks to him for making the day all so worthwhile.
