In the morning of a day of my Guangzhou tour, I was in Shenzhen. Sunny arranged a private transfer for me from my hotel in Shenzhen to a hotel in Guangzhou. That was a very big help and made my commute between cities smooth and convenient, without any headaches. By the time I arrived at the hotel in Guangzhou our guide Wenmay was already there ready to start our tour. Guangzhou is a great megapolis to explore, with plenty of opportunities to admire a wast variety of attractions, architecture, history and culture. Even if eight hours seems to be a lot of time, it is definitely not enough for Guangzhou. Wenmay went over and above my expectations and diligently put her talents and knowledge to make sure to deliver the most to me. I really appreciate hard work, professionalism and sharpness of both, Sunny and Wenmay. Thank you, ladies. Without your help it is impossible for a traveler like me, with zero language and knowledge of the country to get so much out of such a limited time.

Without my guide I would have been lost. Winnie was amazing. Knew in advance of what I was looking for and guided us to where we needed to go to find exactly b what was on my shopping list. Sunny Private Tours, a Private Guangzhou Full Day City Tour with Old and New Highlights. As a tourist on a limited schedule, I was disappointed not to have seen more of Guangzhou. One itinerary destination was removed and replaced with another, one requested destination declined, spent a lot of time being driven from A to B, received very little commentary, a lovely tour guide whose English skills could have been a little better. Flexibility to the tour was offered, but next time I shall be better prepared with stipulating the places that I really wanted to visit.

We had an excellent tour with Marcy. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. My son and I left Guangzhou feeling that we understood the place so much better - and that was a lot to do with Marcy. She knows much!

You have the chance to slightly customise your tour, according to the weather conditions and time left. We went from the modern city to the old town. I really suggest this day trip with Leeann and Tony, the driver. I had a private driver always ready to bring us around with a clean and modern car with air-con (trust me, you will appreciate it). We were travelling in a group of eight, ranging from 60 to 70 years old. We were actually on a holiday to Macau and Hong Kong, and decided to go to Guangzhou to have a "taster" so that we can decide whether to go for a longer period next year. We were not disappointed. Our guide Ms Leeann met us punctually at 9am at our hotel lobby. She then explained a realistic itinerary for us, given some in our group cannot walk too much. We visited the Chen Clan House, the Yong Qing Fang Opera Museum and the Western Han Tomb, and had lunch at Tao Tao Ju restaurant at Beijing Street shopping complex. Leeann was very knowledgeable about the places that we visited. From the Western Han Tomb, I personally learnt about the short Western Han dynasty in Chinese history, albeit only in the Lingnan area. This short dynasty is seldom mentioned in popular Chinese culture such as movies. I strongly recommend the Western Han Tomb because of its completeness as a tomb, even though it is a small tomb relative to other excavated tombs in China. One disappointment was that the actual burial site within the tomb was closed during the summer holidays (due to large crowds) but the museum above the tomb was really worth visiting. However, if you do it yourself free-and-easy, you will not learn much. You need a competent guide such as Leeann to explain and put events in context and perspective. Leeann was also very careful about the safety of the more senior folks in our group, by checking on them frequently. At the end of the trip, Leeann not only dropped us at the Guangzhou East FastRail Station, but also accompanied us until the restricted area zone. That was a really sweet gesture, which we Singaporeans appreciate. Thank you, Leeann, we hope to catch up with you next year.

We went with our tour guide Maycy. She is very professional and patient with two of our children. She can explain in english well and very knowledgeable about the area, culture and history. We spent almost 4 hours yumcha dinner, and sightseeing new guangzhou city centre and ride elevator in canton tower up to level 108. I would definitely recommend the trip to everyone of my family and friends.

We had a great time during this tour. Our guide is Ms. LeeAnn. She was very helpful with the needs of our group. Since we have an elderly with us, she was very mindful that we are taking our time as we walk. She is knowledgeable of the sites we went to. We learn new things about Guangzhou in this tour.
