Thresher Shark Dive from Malapascua Island
USD 37.27

Malapascua Island is the only place in the world where you can see magnificent thresher sharks every day. It also boasts some of the best and most varied diving in the Philippines: whitetip sharks and large rays, wrecks and reefs; wall dives and muck dives; beautiful coral gardens, mating mandarin fish, frogfish, seahorses, nudibranchs galore, and amazing macro.

Dive with one of our highly trained DMs, each with thousands of shark dives and laser eyes to spot sharks and find all that hidden macro. And you are very lucky - shark sightings have been amazing, the best in the 15 years we have been here!  We have own special thresher spot and we believe it is the best shark experience you will get on Malapascua!

Please note: You need to be saying on Malapascua Island itself to book this package.

What to Expect

The day before your scheduled dives, make your own way to the dive shop to get fitted with your equipment so that you are ready to go early on the morning of your dive.

On the day of your dive, head out before sunrise in order to see the thresher sharks when they come out at first light. Sip the provided tea or coffee as you relax on the spacious boat and cruise out to Monad Shoal, your first dive site. Receive a safety briefing and orientation from your guide, then complete your dive. You’ll return to shore after about two hours in time for breakfast (not included).

Please note: the shark dive requires Advanced Open Water certification. If you are Open Water, you can upgrade your booking on–site to make the shark dive a PADI Deep Adventure Dive, which certifies you to dive to a depth of 30 meters.

Please note: You need to be saying on Malapascua Island itself to book this package.

All of the dives operate from the boat and your package includes a dive master guide, boat transport, tanks and weights, tea, coffee, and drinking water. You have the option to include equipment rental or bring your own scuba gear.

Great diving with Thresher Shark Dive (TSD)

Professional and enjoyable diving with these guys. We have been diving for 7 days at different spots. The teams made our stay a very relaxing one, both under and above the water.
