- mauriliob3420 contributionsUros medio día / half dayWas able to take great pics on the EOS M50, sadly not able to show them below. Boat ride was chill, history was interesting. Tour guide, Freddy, was super friendly and informative. Bilingual I would say expect to buy at least one or two souvenirs and they are okay with bargaining. The people of the islands work and band together to stay afloat, literally. Tourism is massive for them. They accept all cash types, ALL, and even card with a 10% commission fee. I got a hat and a necklace :) Love my peopleWritten 4 November 2024

- andrewcan7770 contributionsPuno to La Paz day tourWe have booked Puno to La Paz day tour with this company. The communication was impressive from begging and Mariela was on top of things waved deposit requirement for us and we agreed to pay cash on arrival. WhatsApp communication was quick and efficient. All questions were promptly answered. Once we arrived to Puno, we visited office to pay and confirm travel details. Morning pick up from the hotel was in time and Mariela personally came to make sure that everything is OK. After pick up from hotel we have picked our guide Victor on the way from city and went to two main attractions- Fertility Temple and Aramu Muru. While the fertility temple was not as impressive as on pictures and bloggers videos on YouTube, Aramu Muru was a great place to visit. Victor one of the best guides we ever met and he has wast knowledge about sites as well as gave us good insights in general life of people in Peru, cultural and mentality specifics. His attitude and casual approach was nice and we had a lot of fun talking with him. Once we reach Desaguadero, Victor helped us to exchange money to BOB and literally hands us over to the guys from Bolivian side. The board crossing was quick and seamless. The guide from Bolivian side took us through the board and helped with baggage. Car was already waiting on other side. We quickly stamped our passports (no visa needed) and have been taken straight to restaurant for lunch as the time in Bolivia is one our late than in Peru. Restaurant located around 40 minutes drive from the board. Lunch was pretty good and very authentic. Our driver on Bolivian side Albert had a lunch with us and than we went to Puna Punku site, where local guide Carlos was already waiting us. Carlos is a local specialist in history of Puna Punku and Tiwanaku. His knowledge, attitude and communication were second to none. He was not only gave us a lot of insights in the history of the both sites but also demonstrated some amazing specifics of particular stone blocks putting the compass on them and showed how the arrow lost orientation to the North and started moving in random directions. We also appreciated his honest responses on some questions where he was ready to confirm that many things e.g. how the huge dozens of tonns stone (granite and sand stone) blocks were moved from the sites kilometres away where they been extracted. Carlos went through all sites specifics with us and also got us to the local museum. Once we finished with excursions, we went to La Paz with Albert who delivered us to the hotel. We did have a great time with Albert even without knowledge of Spanish through translator. Moreover we also got him to drive us to the airport when we left La Paz days later. Price was reasonable and he was in hotel even earlier than agreed waiting us in the front. In general this company and guys definitely provided 5 stars service. Everything showed in booklet was provided including meals and entrance tickets was included in total amount we did pay and guides just paid tickets for us. Meal also was included as specified in their booklet. I know that some people complained on cars, however, if you travel in Peru and La Paz by taxi, you know that you can't expect posh cars. The cars were ok to deliver from point A to point B. Most amazing thing about that company is people. We really appreciate their help and amazing attitude. Highly recommend this company if you have plans to take tours in Peru or Bolivia.Written 20 October 2024

We really liked the whole trip. We booked a two days/one night tour from Puno to Uros/Amantani/Tanquile Island. Our guest family on Amantani Island were so friendly and welcoming and the kids were lovely. The food was excellent and the surprise was fun too! Our Tourguide was the best that we had so far. Carlos had a lot of information and took care of us all the time. He was answering all our questions. His English and Spanish is fluently and we really liked to listen to all the stories. Even the captain was great. The speedboat was very comfy. We really enjoyed it and would book it again. Muchas gracias❣️Written 15 October 2024
- V3787OLgabrielt0 contributionsUros and Taquiles IslandThis trip has been amazing, from the get go our guide was actually great, he goes by Freddie and Edwin. Both gave us a great adventure and while very fun it was also very educational. The adventure is gonna be as immersive as you let it be. Talk to the locals, buy from the locals in the islands instead of on the mainland. They hand craft everything. Uros was just amazing, mind blowing the way they live and what they’ve done with their manmade islands. Ms Olga was the leader of the community we visited, it was an honor honestly to meet her and learn their ways. Took the boat trip and had the pleasure of actually asking Ms.Olga to do the work for her, (make it as immersive as you can right?) the women from Uros have great artistry, maybe buy at least one item and contribute. Not obligatory but speaks volumes of ourselves once we see how the contributions we make really help. Island of Taquiles, be ready for the walk of you life. In this island you will walk up hill, a lot. Is it worth it? Totally. The views, the homes, their apparel, the food. Everything makes the walk worth it. They might invite you to dance with them. (Make it as immersive as you can, go dance). It was an over all great day. I am very thankful for the guides.Written 11 October 2024
- 653lilingt0 contributionsOrganised short tourWe book a half day tour to Uros floating island by regular boat. The trip was well organise. Pick up was on time , regular boat to the island was of good standard and well maintained. The tour guide explained both in English and Spanish regarding the culture of lake titicaca and the floating island. There you need to pay 20 soles to sit on the traditional boat , it is optional though but not inside the tour package. It is easy to understand. However drop off is a bit weird, there is no van picked up. The tour guide hired random taxi in the street , paid the taxi driver money and off he bid farewell at the terminal port. I guess is this more economical way for the company ?Written 16 September 2024

I hired the agency online and it was very easy to book. The tour for two people was $30 each. Included lunch and transfer to the hotel. I paid the deposit of $20 and I would pay the rest on the day of the tour. Picking us up at an agreed time and due to the rain there was a change in the itinerary which was the perfect decision for us to enjoy the tour. We made Taquile first and then Uros. My father, who has mobility problems, didn't want to take the Taquile tour and stayed on the boat. And that's why lunch was taken to the boat because going up and down wouldn't be possible for him. Before lunch, which was delicious, there was an explanation about the local culture, the use and hierarchy of hats and belts. Freddy, the guide, was very rich in his explanations. and it was very interesting to visit both the Taquile family and the Uros family. At first I didn't have much interest in Taquile, but after learning more about them and being so kindly welcomed I highly recommend this tour. I recommend buying some pieces made on the island that are 100 percent handcrafted. They are actually more expensive, but you can see the quality and cultural richness of each piece.
Uros is a unique community. With a very interesting story that Freddy knew how to convey masterfully. It also sells unique handicrafts, but they are more rustic than Taquile's.
The agency really cares about the quality of the service provided. I came to Puno to do this tour and I thank the agency because everything went perfectly even with rain in the morning.

A lovely trip and a very lovely day. The pick-up from the hotel and boarding the boat went really well. The first stop at the Uros is exciting! Our guide Freddy explains a few details in English and Spanish and also translates the words of the island president, who talks a lot in Aymara. We learn about the culture of the Uros, how they live, how they build their islands and houses. We then travel in a comfortable boat across the lake to the island of Taquile. We have free time to enjoy a beautiful view and look at or buy handmade goods. Then came lunch, which we were also very happy with. A vegetable quinoa soup was served, followed by trout from Lake Titicaca with rice and chips. After dinner we learned a bit about the culture and especially the clothing of the island's inhabitants. After a quick sunbath and the option of going for a swim in the lake, we head back towards Puno.

We were picked up at 7:30am at our hotel and taken to our boat. There was a lot of space for everyone, bathroom and plugs to charge the phone. Our guide was Victor and he was amazing! He did the tour in two languages: Spanish and English. He was very informative and attentive to everyone.
First stop was Uros: they did a presentation on history and how the islands were built. Then we got to visit their homes and shop souvenirs ( they live of tourism, so souvenirs are more expensive ) Then we did the ride on their typical boat (extra $) and left for the second island.
Taquile is a very picturesque place.
We climbed up for 30 minutes to the main square where we had a presentation of couple dances performed by the people living on this island and lunch with an amazing view. Lunch was extremely tasty. Victor told us about life and customs on this island.
Then we walked about 40 minutes down hill across the island to get on our boat and off to Puno. They brought us to our hotel after. Very good tour. Highly recommend!

It was a really nice experience. Our guide Freddy told us a lot of interesting information about the life and typical culture of the Quechua and Aymara peoples who live on Taquile Island and the floating islands of Uros respectively.
Lunch was delicious. To conclude, the tour with Freddy has been well organized and I would recommend it to everyone who wants to spend a nice and quiet day at Lake Titicaca

We have long considered whether we would like to do a tourist tour on Lake Titicaca at all - ultimately we are positively surprised. It is touristy: You travel in a group, follow the times, follow the guide..., but the Uros and Taquile are really impressive with their culture and both groups have discovered a seemingly good way for themselves to deal with tourism. The tour was the easiest way to get insights and the information Freddy shared during the day trip was sound and interesting. In addition, lunch on Taquile was really delicious. Overall, it would be great, you could go hiking on Taquile for another one or two hours alone - unfortunately there is not much free time left. Otherwise we are very satisfied.

Actually a really good tour. Our Tour Guide Freddy was easy to listen which is not always given in Peru, but necessary for an informative tour.
The Visit to Uros felt quite touristic, but however is very interesting in learning about the technique to build such islands. Minus point: We felt a bit pressured to buy something and to take the rowing boat to the main Uros Island for 15 Sol each.
The island of Taquile were the highlight for us, as we did a 1 hour walk through the beautiful fields and plantages and got a very tasty lunch with a scenic view.
In total I can definitely recommend the Tour.

What a great excursion my partner and I had. The lake is beautiful and Victor, the guide we had, was very knowledgeable and made the trip memorable.
Extra points for the agency and their customer service, we had to change something last minute and they have been very responsive and understanding. If you're in Puno and looking to explore Lake Titicaca I highly recommend them!

The agency adapts to our needs and desires.
No problem visiting Puno and its surroundings, tourists are welcome!
We finally opted for the day by speed boat visiting the Uros Islands, a unique culture in the world that lives on floating islands.
The island of Taquile is also very beautiful with a very interesting traditional culture.
The guide Freddy (also speaks French) is very professional and he was able to convey the urgent need to preserve this fragile and magnificent environment.

The guide (Freddy) was very competent. He speaks fluent English and Spanish, everything was super organized and the boat is fast compared to others and therefore you do not waste much time on the way. You just have to expect that you are traveling in large groups and as it is mostly with such tours, you have time spans in which you can walk around freely but then also fixed meeting points again.

In the morning we came to the hotel door. After taking us and getting on the boat Freddy, our Guide, began to explain what we were going to see as history of Lake Titicaca, the Uros...
Always very attentive and friendly
First we visited an island of the community of the Uros that has been very beautiful and then the island of Taquile, where we have been given a small walk to see some traditional dances and have delighted you with a wonderful lunch typical of here.
Emphasize the kindness of the people of the island and the kindness of Freddy to help us and explain any questions we had.
