Receive an early-morning pickup from your Puno hotel, after which you’ll transfer to the port and board a motorboat which will transport you during the rest of your trip.
Start by exploring some of the numerous “floating” islands constructed out of reeds by the lake’s local communities. Marvel at the construction of these unique floating platforms, many of which are as long as 65 feet (20 meters) long. After spending two hours on the water, you’ll head to Taquile Island. Spend time discovering this scenic island as you check out the local ruins and explore examples of the indigenous culture’s longstanding weaving traditions. You’ll also have time for an included lunch.
Then leave Taquile Island behind, returning by boat to Puno, where you’ll be transferred back to your Puno hotel in the evening.
