Come and explore the magic of the Gamboa rainforest, ascending some 280 feet from the shadowy forest floor through the dense undergrowth and up to the sun drenched canopy with its thousand shades of green that are only interrupted by the vibrant colors of flowering trees.
Whilst travelling in your own gondola the views will offer you stunning bird's-eye view of the amazing forest, here you will enjoy colorful birds and butterflies. There is also a great chance of seeing a sloth or a white-faced capuchin monkeys. Often as your ride you will hear the howler monkeys cries in the distance.
The famous tram ride takes around one hour to the Gamboa Observation Tower, here there are breathtaking views of the Chagres River, Gatun Lake and of course the Panama Canal.
Our naturalist guide will join each gondola which normally consists of four to five people, they will point out the numerous wildlife and plants. As you head up the fifteen stories to the top of the observation tower, you'll be rewarded with a view of Soberania National Park and the Panama Canal.
Once you have enjoyed the forest we head onto to Miraflores Visitor Centre, a center whose exhibitions focus on the famous Panama Canal. There are four exhibition halls that cover just about every aspect of the Panama Canal including its construction and its operation. During your visit, you can watch vessels cruise the waters and witness the lock gates open and close. There is also a 3D movie played on-site that highlights notable events through the Panama Canal's history.
Please Note: This tour may operate in reverse order. In order to reach the top of observation tower you must walk a ramp that will be 15 stories high.
