Pick up from Kota Kinabalu city center and transfer to jetty. Board a 15-minute ferry ride to Sapi Island, one of the five islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. The "Coral Flyer" is Sabah's newest tourist attraction. It is the world's longest island to island zipline and has just opened in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. It stretches for 250-meter across the channel that divides Gaya and Sapi Islands. There are two lines allowing riders to go down in pairs and reaches speeds up to 60-kilometer. The adventure starts at Gaya Island and takes you to the ending point on Sapi Island. You will be asked to sign a liability waiver, issued with a ticket and will then proceed out onto the jetty where the boat will transfer you to Padang Point on the island of Gaya. It is a short walk to the harness station, where our staff will fit you with a harness and helmet and issue you a zipline trolley. There will then be a short climb through the fantastic forest to the launching platform and zip back to Sapi. Spend the day for your own leisure at Sapi Island such as swimming, snorkeling or just laze yourself or suntan at the white sandy beach. After lunch, continue your free leisure time before departure.

          Great day but very long
This trip is definitely worth doing but be prepared for a lot of driving. Our guide was very informative about the park and the wildlife however would have been good if we got more information about the area we drove through such as what people do as a living. We drove for many kms in total silence. The lunch was delicious and the Poring Springs was worth a visit and relax. The only issue I had was the speed our driver drove as I am not the best passenger but apart from that it was an enjoyable day.

          Great town and wonderful people
It is one of the most beautiful towns that I have ever visited. Beautiful cost line and great view of the mountains in the other side. The people were very friendly and helpful. The only thing that bothered me is the pollution in some water ways and the cost lines.i wish they do something about it.

Kinabalu Park, Canopy walk & Poring Hotspring
Nice natural park with lots of wild tiny orchid flowers, pitcher plants, ginger plants, betelnuts and other plants. We have a local guide who is very knowledgeable with plants. Worth a visit if you like flowers, plants and trees. We saw leech, butterflies, a green beetle with a horn and Insects shedded their skin on leaves. Canopy walk was pleasant as there were no crowd. Need to pay for camera at the entrance. Spotted some red ‘wild apples’ which are not edible. Poring hotspring was relaxing and you can grab your lunch in the restaurant within the vicinity. There are only 2 private deluxe indoor tubs which are newer than the standard indoor tubs. All indoor tubs have adjoining bathroom. It’s an enjoyable 1 day tour, surprised that we were not bitten by any mosquitoes or insects despite that we did not use insect repellent.

Good for a place to relax (Don't go during holiday time)
Kindly remind that better don't go on holiday season or peak period, as no place for you enjoy the hot spring water. When we reached there, we can't find a place(hot spring pond) to sit down & enjoy b'coz over crowded. Then we went to the 400M away from the hot spring for the water fall, but found that some people are smoking near the water fall. Diappointed.... The Canopy walkway is good, entrance fee additional of RM3 (RM5 for each camera/smartphone for taking photo). The hanging wooden bridge is 10-15M tied in between the talls tree. The walkway is about 50-80M distance.

Fabulous day tour at Kinabalu Park
Brilliant day at Kinabalu Park. The drive to and climb up the base of mountain gave lots of opportunities for stunning photos and our walk along walkways were exciting and stunning and so pleased we walked them all, the park itself with all its fauna and Flora was fabulous. We also called at a couple of markets on route. Pouring springs made for interesting conversations with many visiting local families too. Brilliant day

          Excellent full day trip
Made our way from Kotu Kinabalu to Sandakan airport where we had arranged to meet MrTaip Taxi for a private taxi to Sepilok. This guy speaks great English and along with Sepilok we managed to see proboscis monkeys, sun bears and part of the national park before heading back to the airport, his price was more than reasonable for the day we had, didn’t make a note of his phone number, but he does have a Facebook page he can be reached on, you won’t regret it.

          Insightful and lovely guide
This was the first activity we did in Borneo and we absolutely loved it. Our guide Lavender was so knowledgable and he made it a really special day for us. The botanical gardens were beautiful and the different plants were all very interesting. The canopy walk was scary but we did it! We were tired by the time we got to the hot springs so we sat and had a drink instead while we waited for the other people on our tour. On the way back Lavender asked if we wanted to go and see a Rafflesia flower that had just bloomed nearby - they take 2 years to bloom and live for 7 days so we felt incredibly lucky to see one! The drive to the National Park is long but with beautiful scenery. We had a wonderful day, thank you Lavender!

          Kinabalu Park
Had a great day with Alvarez walking through the rainforest at Kinabalu Park. Alvarez is a friendly guide and was very knowledgeable about the plantlife of the rainforest. Ate good local food for lunch, walked the canopies and took a dip in the hot springs. This tour is fairly relaxed and quite flexible with the opportunity to add on some additional visits such as the Desa Dairy Farm.

Wonderful Trip with Mr. Aji Expeditions
We were so glad to have booked our 3D2N trip to Kinabatangan River with Mr. Aji. We were so excited to break his record with ELEVEN orangutan sightings in 3 days, as well as 7 other primate species, tons of colorful birds, crocodiles and a multitude of other wildlife. In addition to the planned itinerary, we also opted to do the optional morning jungle hike and night safari, which were very cool. Besides that, we were the only ones in our group, so it was essentially a private tour. Instead of the big tour groups that start the river cruises at 4pm, we started several hours earlier and had the whole river to ourselves, which allowed us to spot so much more wildlife. We loved listening to Mr. Aji's animal calls - he was able to exactly mimic the calls of each monkey and bird species and they would call back. Accommodation was pretty basic but had hot water and AC, which is pretty amazing in the jungle. The food in the restaurant was decent local food with large portions. Overall it was a great trip and we highly recommend booking with Mr. Aji!

          Book with Mr Aji Expeditions
We went on 3D2N with Mr Aji and it was an experience we'll never forget. We got to see 8 orangutans from babies to a huge alpha male. It was incredible to see them in their natural habitat. Mr Aji's boat tours start earlier (and last longer) than all the other boat tours around the river so the wildlife hasn't been scared away. We saw so much wildlife and learnt so much too. The accommodation was clean with good a/c, hot shower and free tea/coffee. Food was also included. Mr Aji's passion for nature is undeniable, he knows so much and is someone we can all learn from. Thanks Mr Aji, Jule and Jerry for a lovely few days! We were sad to leave.

Long day trip with little reward
This is a tick box trip - sit in a bus for several hours to look at a mountain for a few minutes and then a canopy walk where you should see many varieties of flowers but none were to be seen and the poring spring is more like a public bath. There are many wonderful things to do there - this trip is not one of them.

Not worth it and not well maintained
If you have some spare time, you can visit otherwise I would suggest to skip as it wasn’t worth the travel time.

Fascinating To See These Rare Creatures In A Semi-Wild Environment
Visited with my wife as part of a tour group. We had previously managed to spot a single Orang Utang in the wild in the forests but the Rehab center enabled us to get much closer albeit we only saw four adults during our time there. We did manage to see quite a few babies in the nursery enjoying themselves on the car tyres and ropes etc but this meant viewing and photoing through thick glass which is never perfect.

Happy memories of a wonderful visit.
You don't need me to repeat the praise given to this centre by very many others. However, please think twice before signing up to an escorted tour if you prefer to travel independently. As well as the cost of those tours if you're getting there from Kota Kinabalu you'll also need to book flights separately. We booked our flights and paid in the normal way. The tour operators will then quote a price for their coach tour per person. However four of us landed at Sandakan Airport jumped into a taxi and went to the Sanctuary. The cab was very inexpensive and the entrance fee was just 30 myr each. Because we were in charge of our own timings we got there earlier and stayed longer. As a result we were able to see more Orang Utans than the other groups saw, then jumped back into a cab to visit other sites en route. I must say that I'm sure the tour organisers do a great job but if you're a more independent traveller you may prefer the added flexibility.
