    What to Expect
Get a taste for the top attractions in Tokyo as you explore some of its most iconic ancient temples, modern buildings and bustling shopping districts. Then cap off your day with a included scenic Sumida River cruise along the shores of Tokyo.

Start your Tokyo exploration, the tour meeting point at Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal. For your first stop, head to Tokyo’s 40-story-tall World Trade Center building to enjoy magnificent 360-degree views from the skyscraper’s Seaside Top observation platform. From this unique vantage point you’ll have 20 minutes to spot the city’s iconic Tokyo Tower, the Tokyo Skytree and, when the weather’s clear, even the majestic Mount Fuji. After returning to ground level, take a quick look at the nearby Imperial Palace, where you’ll have the chance to view its beautiful outer garden.

On your way to your next stop, your bus passes through Tokyo’s busy Ginza neighborhood, one of the city’s most famous for shopping and nightlife.

Soon you arrive at Asakusa Kannon Temple, which dates to 645 AD, and is known as the city’s most famous Buddhist religious site. Listen as your guide details the temples fascinating history and then admire its idyllic gardens, intricate architecture and sturdy gates. Next exit the temple via the Hozomon Gate, continuing on to the Nakamise shopping area, a commercial district where you can browse the many vendors offering traditional Japanese souvenirs and snacks.

Finish your day by heading to the Sumida River to begin a 40-minute cruise. Climb aboard your vessel as you glide beneath 12 of the city’s many bridges, listening to a recorded audio guide that will add context about the history of this unique urban waterway.

Step back on land at Hinode Pier, where you’ll return to your coach for a drop-off at Tokyo Station and receive a complimentary souvenir map to continue your own explorations of this one-of-a-kind city.

It seemed to me to be a good short trip to see Tokyo. In fact it was more interesting that from my pick up point, it took some one hour or so to get to the terminal for the actual departure on tour. We transited...More

In general it just wasn't a good experience. Even though we requested for a pick up at Tokyo Station and were early, the bus somehow left without us, and we had to rush to Hanamatsucho with baby in tow. The guide was conversant in English,...More

The tour was too rushed. Could have spend more time in the Imperial Palace and Asakusa instead of the observatory. Observatory could have been 15 mins to give the other sites more time. The river cruise will be great during Spring. As it wasn't Spring...More
