    5 star animal cruelty
Why does a water park need a poor old horse standing out in the heat with no water in a tiny pen?!? Unnecessary and cruel. It’s a water park not a petting zoo! How is this allowed? How does this set a good example for children? Water park is inside a giant warehouse and feels stuffy. People smoke inside this giant covered area. I would not recommend.

    Good Morning Vietnam 😀
Had a wonder visit to Da Nang and surrounding areas. Stayed by My Khe beach at the ‘Eco Green Boutique Hotel’ which was perfectly located for the beach, restaurants and everything else. Couldn’t fault the hotel apart from having an indoor pool. I didn’t really mind this as I had the pool to myself every day for a swim! When you fly into Da Nang pick up a local sim card at the airport for £10. Download the Grab app which is like Uber. We used Grab to go everywhere as it was so reasonable and you can hire one for the day to take you to the sights for about £30. Local journeys £1- £1.50. Hour journeys £10- £15. Airport is 15 mins away from from My Khe beach. For a city the beach area is very relaxed and not packed in March apart from at sunset. The food experience was amazing. Food costs between £1.50 up to £10 pp. We had lots of sea food dishes (lobster, oysters, scallops, razor clams), seafood and meat skewers cooked on the barbecue, wood fired pizza, wontons, sea food spring rolls, local meat and veg dishes, duck cooked three ways, sashimi and sushi, great burgers, and of course ‘Banh Mi’ the local inexpensive stuffed bread rolls. I thought I had died and gone to food heaven! The coffee in Vietnam is so good. I brought lots home! You have to try the egg and salt coffee for the experience. Loads of fresh fruit, juices, smoothies, milkshakes to. Massage and beauty places are everywhere. I had a hand and foot manicure with gel painted nails £12. Body massage (60 mins) £7. Foot and leg massage (30 mins) £3. I had the battery and screen protector changed on my phone for £13. We visited a couple of local market in the city and stopped to see the dragon bridge on a Sat night light up with fire. Very impressive. We enjoyed our trips into the city at night and it felt safe. We took a taxi to the Ba Na hills for the day to ride on the cable car and visit the theme park at the top of the mountain. Wonderful views. It was a fantastic day out. Only an hour from Da Nang. We visited marble Mountain to see the breath taking Buddha caves which were near by to. We took a taxi to Hoi An and spent three days there just the other side of the river. We stayed in a home stay with a pool £15 per night. We walked around Hoi An old town and had some more great meals and visits the local temples and sights. Very pretty and busy but manageable. I didn’t really mind. I can imagine it’s unbearable in May-Aug. I booked a motorbike tour and went out around the villages and into the mountains to a water fall. I went on the tropical river on a round boat which was fun and it was interesting to see the people and houses of those who lived on the river. Motorbiking was great way to see and experience the local area. There are some nice beaches not far from town so we got a taxi to them. Hidden Beach. Small and quiet. It had one small restaurant there and the food turned out to be amazing! The best shrimp and crab spring rolls and mango wontons I have ever tasted at a very reasonable price! An Bang which is bigger and busier and Cua Dai Beach which is in between and you can find quiet spots away from people. They all have something different to offer. My friend got some shirts and leather belts made in Hoi An. I think it was about £20 per shirt. You can get them made cheaper but you get what you pay for. He also brought his old belt buckles from home and got new belts made for them. We left Hoi An and headed for ‘My Son’ temple complex by taxi on the way back to Da Nang. About an hour drive. Not to be missed with the wonderful backdrop of the mountains. It was very hot that day and a struggle to walk around in the heat. I would recommend getting there as early as possible. I had a wonderful time in central Vietnam. I found the place to be safe, stimulating, and relaxing. I found the people to be friendly, accommodating and not pushy. I found it safe walking around alone as a woman. There were a lot of people travelling on their own. It wasn’t a big deal going into restaurants and bars by myself. I usually got talking to others. What more can I say other than I will definitely be back!

We had best time and good food included in our tour. Our guide Alex is very patient and had so much of knowledge about bana hills, da nang and whole of Vietnam. It was a great experience touring with him.

Day trip to 3 places is a good choice
We went to 3 places, The Lady Buddha at Son Tra, Marble Mountain and Hoi An ancient town. It is winter season and very windy and cold up the Lady Buddha. This place is suitable for young and old to take pictures. Marble Mountain is an ancient place with temples in it which survived the war. The ancient steps are huge, uneven and steep and to me it is about 600 steps up and down in total. There is a lift service for those in need but I think it only brings you to the middle section for there is another section to the highest point. It doesn't take long to visit Lady Buddha and Marble Mountain. Then we headed to Hoi An ancient town. The tour included a dinner and it was quite nice tasting the local food in a selected restaurant. It was Tet and many shops were closed. The town is quite beautiful and peaceful. However, the tour left us there for a few hours after dinner. All you can do is probably get a get a boat ride, massage, drink, eat again or shopping with the time. I think a few hours there is too much for us. But overall, we are glad we visited.

    The Tour Everyone Can Enjoy!
This tour provided a photo opportunity around every corner! There were shines, temples, gardens, fountains, statuaries, artisans, beautiful planters, great food, old bridges and more! The bus collected me from the lobby of my hotel, and our tour guide, Oanh Vo from Dacotours in Da Nang was exceptional!

    Lady Buddha
Linh Ung Bai But pagoda is a wonderful place to get to know the culture and religion of Vietnam better, the gardens are amazing, if you have visited Da Nang, we recommend you definitely visit here, it is not far from the city and 1-2 hours is enough to see the whole area and for taking pictures. Near statue you can see a lot of monkeys on the tree. On rainy days, statues and pagodas look more beautiful in pictures, so even then you can visit🌿

Average, start trip 2 hours early.
Here is my thought, this trip started very late and normally at 5:30 it will be very dark in Vietnam. So, trip should start at 1-1:30 in the afternoon and not after 3:30. Secondly it becomes too difficult in the evening your guide pushes you to finish everything in the dark, without light no photos can be taken. This trip doesn’t cover the boat tour at the lantern city, they will just drop you to the location to do the shopping. Once trip started, they will take you to the marble shop and take away 30 minutes, that makes the temple visit more difficult in the late evening.

    Nice course poorly managed
Played course just after it opened in 2019 Revisited in Nov 2023 excellent club house facilities, great caddies, v nice course …. BUT … horrendous attitude of golf pro shop supervisor wrecked a good golf day Won’t play the course again or amy IMG managed’ course - if the experience we had was typical of an IMG experience then IMG should be embarrassed to be associated with Ba Na Hills and if it’s general standards Generally the service was exceptional but the experience management overall was severely lacking - IMG should be embarrassed to be associated with such poor ‘management’and needs to seriously review its standards nice course shame about how it’s managed

    Island visit and boat trip
The trip was okay, I enjoyed it. My only negatives: - being dropped off in that stupid store to shop for 1/2 hour, - too much time wasted between hotel pickup and actually getting on the boat. - only 1 hour of actually snorkelling in an eight hour trip.

Overall would not recommend choosing this tour.
Unfortunately I did not enjoy this tour very much. There were multiple (about 4) stops we made outside of what was stated on the travel itinerary. Out tour guide also did not tell us about these stops during the tour. the stops were to shops that would give the tour guide commission for bringing customers in. This is pretty typical for tours across Asia and not usually a big deal but in this tour it felt like we spent a significant amount of time at these stops to random stores instead of the actual sites we wanted to see. Additionally when we did go to the sites there was very little information given by our guide. I wish we actually paid for the audio guide available at the sites instead of relying on our tour guide for information in hindsight. The lunch provided was tasty in a beautiful restaurant and the tour cost was affordable. I would not recommend going on this tour as overall we left feeling disappointed and sad that we did not get to learn and understand much about Hue, and wasted time in shops we did not want to go to.

Charged top dollar for comical service
Where to start?! After playing over 10 courses worldwide, and more than 20 in Australia, this is the worst value for dollar golf experience in my life by a country mile. The beautiful layout cannot save the very poor attention detail that the staff provide. My first golfing experience in Vietnam and I’ll never play in the country again. For $200US I was ignored by staff on many occasions, standing around trying to look busy at the pro shop, the locker rooms and then the bar. And to add to that experience, I was questioned if I had paid my bad bill when I had. No table service. $200US green fees anywhere else in south east Asia and you are treated with respect, not here. But most importantly it is about the golf and the fairways were in very poor condition, and the greens were very average. No reduced green fee. Just a written apology at the pro shop when you go to register. Caddies are very good and their English is as good as well. Rest of the staff have very poor to no English. The only course in the world that Luke Donald has his name against, glad I’m not him. Clearly IMG and their version of Basil Fawlty, Gary David, are more about making money than providing an elite golf experience. I’m giving the course layout and caddies 1 star each, but the rest was poor. Play elsewhere in Vietnam or go to Thailand or Malaysia for better courses, in better condition and staff that care.

    Not bad
The guide was excellent. Boat trip a little cramped and snorkeling a little disappointing with some fish but hardly any coral. Lots of tourists. Kids had a good day swimming at the beach when we stopped for lunch

It was a beautiful river cruise experience for at least 45 minutes. Your are toured around the river bank seeing lighted buildings and the famous Dragon Bridge. It was a tour intended to simply get the experience but nothing incredible or fascinating about the tour. They served bottled water and some sliced fruits and a short entertainment (vietnamese girl dancing). overall its a good tour to add on your travel list.

Amazing views on this boat trip of the Han River at night. A bit crowded though, specially when people don't sit on their seats and stand all around to take pictures of the views and thereby blocking the view and wind for other guests. Other than that, wonderful.

At the Dragon Bridge on the Han River, you can see a fire show where a dragon blows fire from its mouth at 9pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It's popular to watch it from near the bridge, but if you don't like the crowds, it's recommended to take a cruise boat to enjoy the night view.

There are various companies, but I recommend Poseidon, which is the largest boat and has great DJ music. It takes its position last, so it was nice to be able to see the whole thing from a little distance.

I didn't need the dinner option, so I booked the admission and drink set (2,109 yen per person) through the Klook app.
