We did the red city tour and it was a wonderful experience. We had a private guide called Ezre (sorry if I have spelt this wrong). He was so accommodating and helpful! Very informative. He adjusted the tour based on our preference. I would highly recommend him and ask for Ezre!

Very smooth and well organized. I was a bit worried that I wasn't given specific directions of what to do at the airport but if you trave enough, you can figure that out. Otherwise, everything from hotel pickup/drop-off to airport pickup/drop-off were very smooth. My friend whom I booked with lucked out that we were the only ones on the tour so we able to customize and add 1 stop at our cost (entrance fee). The best part of it all was our amazing, highly knowledgeable and patient guide, Gokay Sonmez. If you have an option of choosing your guide, please choose him. Thanks to this package, we had a fantastic experience considering we had only 1 day.

This was just me and my sister and a guide who explained tons of information about wine in the region, what we were drinking, etc. We made three stops and had TONS of glasses of wine. Like 12 or 15 maybe. I mean they weren't all full but seriously you get lots of wine. There were also snacks to go with the wine thank goodness. The stops were lovely places, very beautiful wine tasting rooms and small vineyards.

As we were staying at Ariana Lodge, they offered a private day tour around the region. Unlu was our tour guide who met us at the hotel and was very happy to take us around. He took us to goreme open air museum where we spent good 30 to 45 minutes learning about the history of the location and the various churches and the art within it. Unlu is very knowledgeable and he was able to answer all of our questions. From there he took us to few more valleys and points of interest. He also offered if we wanted to stop somewhere for lunch but we weren't very hungry and being vegetarian, the options were limited. Instead in the afternoon he took us to pottery making class where we got to see how pottery is made. Note, not only is it a making class but it's also a store front so there are a lot of pottery pieces you can purchase. they also make custom pieces so you can provide your own design for them to make. It was all very interesting but ultimately we did not find anything that we felt would have looked good in our place. Since we still had time, he also took us to ottoman rug place where we could learn about how the rugs are made by hand by village females. However, the host at the rug place wasn't very good as he was more interested in selling us a rug than explaining how rugs are made. ultimately the rugs were too expensive for us (as they are hand made and silk). While we were at the store, Unlu stepped away to get us some baklava from a local bakery he recommended. We were super excited about this and to his word, the baklava was amazing. since we skipped lunch, we were done around 3 PM. rather than dropping us back at the hotel, we had him drop us off at the Uchisar Castle. He wouldn't include that in the tour but was happy to explain how to navigate ourselves through the castle. Overall it was a good day and Unlu did a lot of talking. The only improvement we would recommend is if they were more willing to be flexible with the stops to make. I asked a couple times about pigeon or love/rose valley but since that wasn't on their list, they wouldn't include that in the tour.

Outstanding personalized wine tasting tour in Goreme, Turkey. We visited 3 wineries and it was clear that the visits had been well coordinated beforehand, the driver showed up exactly on time at our hotel, and our guide was very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommend and plan to use this tour company again!

We still have no idea how we paid so little for this tour. We were slightly hesitant before it began because we received a call from the organizer saying we won't be able to tour the vineyard as it was harvesting season. We considered asking for a refund and walking away, but we stuck with it, and wow are we glad we did. We toured a few wineries, tastes tons of wine, and to cap it all off we had a private tasting session at a luxury lodge overlooking beautiful Cappadocia. I was in Cappadocia for five days and this was most certainly the highlight of my trip. Don't pass this up!

Cappadocia is great, a place must visit. But the communication with the Reservation coordinator (Muset Belge) of this operator is below satisfaction. They never provide details like pick-up time proactively and reply your email really late and sometimes just don’t even bother to reply. The only time they proactively provided information to us was to inform the cancellation of hot balloon tour. Then no more details about the refund. Even we send email to ask the refund details, I get no reply after 4 days until now. I think cancellation of hot balloon tour happens quite often. They should not take so long time to process or to reply a daily enquiry? Even you need time to process, is an acknowledgment email confirming that you heard me will be good enough customer service ? Now after going thru the comments/reviews here, I understand it is quite normal for Neons Tour’ guest experiencing bad communication with the operator. I am afraid that my money will not be refunded, so I write a public comment here. Pls confirm my refund status of booking BR-694755154 and Itinerary # 7424936301349.

Everything about this ride was great! Well arranged and managed. You arrive at the premises where you can have a brief breakfast then you drive to the ground where all air balloons are taking off and that is already an amazing view alone. The ride is unforgettable from very beginning to the very end. Pilot Recep Yandi knows what he is doing and is making your ride even more comfortable and exciting. Thank you for this magical trip!

Some key areas to note: Itinerary: • We booked and paid 5 months in advance so booking of hotels should never have been a problem yet leading up to the tour date, there was constant changing of hotels by Neon - for various reasons. • We were also told certain optionals could be booked during the tour (more on that later) Hotels: some good, some really terrible. Our suspicion is that Neon booked cheap hotels. to be clear, we asked, no good explanation. The biggest unanswered question is why we were moved from Çanakkale to Temizel – 2.5 hours away • Neon said there’s a festival so all hotels are fully booked. But we paid 6 months in advanced - surely an experienced tour company knows this and plans better • This had a massive impact on touring and driving plans for the next day Optionals: If Neon says to you that you can book optionals on the tour - don’t listen. Book in advance for the Hot Air balloon in Cappadocia. • Our group of 14 were the only ones who pre-booked for the Cappadocia Hot Air Balloon ride (not through Neon) - Food: • Dinner at some of the hotels were tasteless. • Consider taking your own spices and sauces Again, overall, between Thompsons Travel and Neon Tours, I would be highly skeptical using booking any tour through you again or to recommend you to anyone else. You really disappointed a large tour group and we heard people from other tour groups had the same complaints.

I took their full package for transfers, red and green tour and the hot air balloon ride. I booked a month in advance and was communicating with Esma. Had a wonderful time. They are true professional. Esma contacted me 2 day prior to my arrival hot details of my flight. Gave the details of van no. and the driver. Was picked up, deposited in the hotel. Pick up for all tours and balloon ride was on time. Total professionals, would highly recommend them. Thank you Esma.

We normally do not take hot air ballon ride. It is usually a rare event I would say. This time my wife and I took it by joining the 2 day Cappadocia tour when we visited Turkey and we opted to have hot air ballon ride, it was a right decision. The ride was never cheap but we never regretted the choice and we had the once in life time experience. The coordination by the tour operator for the whole trip from hotel in Istanbul to airport, plane trip to Cappadocia, transfers, ground tours, ballon ride, etc., until we returned to hotel in Istanbul was fantastic and seamless. We were very pleased. The beautiful sunrise scene with so many hot air balloons flying in the air, making it a picture perfect. Never miss the hot air ballon ride in Cappadocia!

One of the superb place I ever visited. A place worth to visit with family. A great combination of ancient and interesting places.
