Just perfect! Great tour operator and very knowledgeable and friendly driver
Amazing trip! We did a 9 days private tour: Seven full days of safari and one cultural day in the kilimamjaro foothills. We fell in love with the nature, the animals and the sunrises. Our driver Noru, made this trip very special. He was one of us; opened and friendly but also humble and respectful. He taught us everything about the animals and their life (very scientifically knowledgeable), the local traditions and even about himself. For us, We thought the driver was the most important in the safari to spot the animals, to have a great conversation and to learn about it. Noru was great! We saw all the big five, hunting, eating and even a new born gazelle giving the first steps. There were really special moments and Noru was always focused to spot the next moment. The accommodations were always clean, not a single insect in the tent, the food was safe, and the beds very confortable; needed for a good rest as the days are long with the game drives. Meru slopes has been a great choice; We wanted to have a Tanzanian tour operator. We didn’t want any foreign company as this was a way for us to support the local economy. They were always very responsive, reliable and on time. They adjust the trip to our wishes and They did a very good planing. I would definitely recommend everyone Meru slopes and specially, Noru as the driver.

Outstanding safari tour operator with expert tour guides and amazing customer service!
We had a 7-day safari with Meru Tours and it was brilliant! They are very responsive and incredibly customer-friendly in that they tailored the trip exactly to our wishes. Despite us wanting a journey off the ‘typical’ safari route. The accommodations arranged by them were clean, comfortable and in beautiful locations (we stayed in tented camps). But the highlight of the entire trip was our driver Nuru. He really made our trip memorable and special. Not only did he spot animals all the time but also had immense knowledge of the Biology of Tanzania (Plants & Animals) and was incredibly friendly and patient with all our questions of which we had so many. Eventually we had conversation about both Tanzanian culture and the environment the entire day! Additionally he was an incredibly friendly person to talk to and spent the week with! Overall I cannot recommend Meru Slopes enough! We had an amazing experience and would definitely book with them again if we would return!

8 day bucket list trip. The trip was mind blowing. We will be back and we will use Meru Slopes.
We highly recommend Meru Slopes! We are home after our incredible safari and we just keep looking at the pictures and reliving this amazing experience :))) It more than exceeded our expectations. We chose an 8 day safari, Jerome Hotti was our contact and he put together an excellent itinerary for mid-February. Godfrey was our guide, we love him, he was absolutely phenomenal. His passion for what he does is evident, he put us on the big 5, he found the animals effortlessly. Godfrey was extremely polite and reliable, we had the best time with him. We would discuss our morning starting time at dinner the night before and he would have the Land Cruiser ready to go the next day. He also took pictures every time I requested! :) The whole trip is a highlight reel, he made us feel comfortable and safe while at the same time getting us up close to the wildlife. He has such knowledge of the land and animals, every day we learned something new. We have to add a comment about honesty and trust. When dealing with a local company over 8000 miles away you have to trust them. We initially put the deposit down 4 years ago but had to reschedule. The second attempt also fell apart and we gave up. When we contacted Meru Slopes over 3 years later they were able to track down the deposit and use it on this trip. Reputable company, wonderful experience all around. We thought it would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience but it was so good we are planning on going back and using Meru Slopes again.

        Tanzania experience!
This was an amazing experience! We had an awsome guide and chef thst took excellent care of our every need. Nuru and Rafi went above and beyond what we were expecting. Seeing wild animals this close was unbelivable , multiple types of birds and most of the big five (the rhino was shy). Highly recommend!

        Incredible safari experience
Our tour with Meru Slopes was incredible. Great communication beforehand with prompt response to questions. They picked us up from the airport even though our flight arrived at 2:45 am! Our tour guide Douglas was fantastic. He was very experienced and knowledgeable and overall fun to be around. The food was awesome with hot lunches every day (no boxed lunches for us!). I definitely recommend them to anyone looking to go on safari!

        Strongly recommend!
Thanks to Meru Slopes for giving us an incredible Safari experience! I especially recommend our guide Samwel. He is a very nice and professional guide. Under his guidance, we saw a lot of animals on the first day of Safari, and we saw the Big Five every day after that, including the very hard - to - find leopard and rhino. Besides leading us to look for animals, Sam also taught us a lot of knowledge about animals and local customs. He really enhanced our travel experience a great deal, and there was a new surprise every day! I would also like to thank Almachius for helping us arrange this trip. He replied very quickly and tried his best to meet our needs. We were very satisfied with the accommodation and food provided this time. Everything is just perfect!

The best of the best from start to finish!
Look no further! This is the best tour company around. We did a custom designed trip for 17 days. My 66 year old husband and his 68 year old friend did 7days Machame route hike in Kilamanjaro. I stayed in a Chagga village near the mountain for the week and then met up with the guys for a several day safari which included Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongor Crater. We chose a leisurely itinerary as we are retired now and could take the time! We took a couple days on arrival to acclimate to the time and the altitude for my husband. And a couple days between the climb and the Safari. Every single detail from the drivers, wonderful accommodations, 3 meals a day, retrieval of a forgotten bag, adjusting the trip to our specifics interests-everything was great. Almachius was the person who I corresponded with in the months leading up to the trip and he was professional and quick to respond to my hundreds of questions. I mentioned that we were hoping to do birdwatching while on the safari. Our Safari guide, Godfrey, showed up with a Tanzanian bird book for me to use and which he didn’t need as he knew every bird in the book. He stopped repeatedly to point out the birds and was so patient to wait as we took photos. I can’t imagine doing a safari without seeing and enjoying the birds . They were truly one of the highlights! And we were able to see all of the Big Five multiple times! We had chosen the moderate priced tour and every time we pulled up to our next accommodations, we felt there must have been a mistake because everything felt luxurious for a safari experience! Much nicer than we expected. My husband and his friend are still raving about their Kilamanjaro guides and porters. His friend has done Kilamanjaro before and many other hikes/climbs around the world. He declared Kennedy and Julius were the best guides he had ever had. And the whole crew was exceptional with great food and a spirit of camaraderie that they will never forget! Thank you again to Almachius for going above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable! And to Kennedy and Julius and Crew for guiding my husband to the summit and back done safely. They will never forget you! This company has an excellent reputation in Tanzania from people we spoke with and we can attest to this. You will not be disappointed and will get the most value for your money with them!

Fabulous Safari and included perks but be cautious about logistics…
Animal sightings were unreal, and the included airport transfers and hotel pre and post safari were great perks, but be cautious about group logistics…three people in my group of six upgraded to lodge accommodation in opposite directions which considerably effected safari times and did leave me feeling a bit shortchanged. The driver did his absolute best and did end up getting a fine from the park for driving too late in the day but by and large we needed 5am starts for breakfast and just over 2hours each way just to collect all members of the group, with safari not starting until 8.30-9. All accommodation was in the parks so the ‘commute’ did have the chance to see wildlife but we didn’t have time to stop or observe, and were travelling at speed which made it almost impossible. Tents did leak but hearing lions from the campsite is an unforgettable experience. Great to be able to charge in the car but no sign of WIFI. Food was tasty and included drinks were nice and cold, though the coolers did make space in the back seats a bit tight. First night in a lodge with a pool was a nice surprise. Ultimately I would recommend Meru Slopes but suggest asking about the group make up to temper expectations.

        Unforgettable Safari Experience with Jacob!
had an amazing safari experience in Tanzania, and Jacob was the best guide we could have asked for! He was always on time, incredibly professional, and his sharp eyesight was truly impressive—he spotted a rhino from a distance before anyone else did! Jacob is an excellent driver, making us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the trip. He’s also very friendly and talkative, sharing interesting stories and even teaching us how to sing Hakuna Matata. His attention to detail and service mindset were outstanding—he cleaned the vehicle every day, ensuring we always had a pleasant ride. If you’re planning a safari in Tanzania, I highly recommend Jacob. He made our trip unforgettable

The Best Safari Experience – Beyond Expectations!
Wow! What an unforgettable experience! We spent six amazing days on safari with our incredible driver, Mohamed. His knowledge of wildlife and the landscape truly amazed us. We saw all of the "Top 9" animals – and so many more! Honestly, it felt like we saw every single one! Not just from a distance, but incredibly close, making the experience even more magical. What impressed us most was Mohamed’s deep respect for animal welfare. He always prioritized the well-being of the wildlife, which was something very important to us as well. The entire trip exceeded our expectations by far – we couldn’t have imagined it to be this incredible! If we could, we would give 10 stars! A special thanks to Jerome, who anticipated our every wish – even taking care of special requests in the evenings to make our stay extra comfortable. At first, we were a bit worried about the food, but Rashid took care of us with outstanding meals around the clock. Every single meal was delicious and exceeded all our expectations! We would book this safari again in a heartbeat! Best regards, Markus & Sonja

The Absolute Best Experience - You won't regret a moment, but you might wonder if it's real
The entire process of arranging our safari (with the incomparable Gift guiding us through) to the execution of our itinerary with Jacob, our guide was incredible. There really aren't any words to describe all that we saw and experienced. Meru Slopes took care of us from the time we landed in Arusha, Tanzania until they dropped us off at the airport for our departure. They took care of everything and we didn't have a worry. (Tip: you can absolutely fly into Arusha airport instead of Kilimanjaro. Arusha airport is closer to the city and there are direct flights to and from Zanzibar, should that be on your destination list.) We went on a 10 Day Private Mid-range Serengeti Calving tour, designed especially for us. The accommodations were all spacious, comfortable and the staff at each stop friendly and helpful. The provided meals offered plentiful and varied food, with something for everyone, which is pretty amazing, as many of the locations are quite remote. As we were there to celebrate a special occasion, Meru Slopes (and the Tanzanian Bush Camp - Undutu) made sure our day was extra special. The game drives were breathtaking. The scenery of Tanzania is stunning and the wildlife abundant. Their safari vehicles are kitted out with charging stations, WiFi (in most places - don't forget, sometimes you're literally in the middle of no where), and drinks aplenty (pop, beer, wine, water). We saw all the "big 5", plus so much more. There are birds, small animals, cats, soaring vistas, vast swathes of Wildebeest and other animals, all roaming around living their very best and safest lives. Again, there are no words to describe everything we were privileged to experience. We can't recommend Meru Slopes, Gift or Jacob highly enough. If you chose them for your safari experience, you won't be disappointed. I'd have added more photos but our internet connection in Zanzibar was NOT cooperating.

Best honeymoon thanks to Meru slopes, Jacob & Kelvin!
We planned our honeymoon with Meru slopes and it was all we ever wished for! The 7 days safari (calving season) were perfect, thanks to our private guide Jacob, who was funny, thoughtful and very professional. He showed us all possible animals and took his job very seriously. Afterwards we did a 4 days trekking to Mount Meru. This was much less luxurious of course (as is normal in the mountains), but nevertheless amazing! Any inconvenience was kindly and professionally handled by Kelvin, which we really appreciate! Would recommend this company for taking care of your honeymoon!

        Fantastic family trip
I had booked this safari trip with Jerome. He is very professional and responsible. Since this is the first time I booked a safari tour, he always answered my questions quickly and throughly. He had visited us twice before and after tour to make sure we were comfortable. We requested a tour guide with experience and easy to communicate. Jerome had assigned Samwel to us as our tour guide. He is exactly what we asked. He had a lot of years experience so can easily find animals. He is very acknowledgeable with Tanzania history and culture so he gave us an introduction of this beautiful country. He is also very flexible. He can adjusted our schedule based on what we requested at same time to make sure we saw everything. Thank both Jerome and Samwel to make our trip comfortable. Meru slopes is absolutely we will recommend if you are interested in booking a safari tour in Tanzania.

Exceeded our expectations - 5 Star
Feb 04-08/2025 (rating 5 stars) We did the 5-day Private Comfort Safari to Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris. Prior to booking the trip with Meru, I compared the package they offered with 3 other companies and found this to be as good, and some cases better for what we were looking for in a safari. There were less expensive packages with other companies, but I liked Meru's presentation that they sent us with their quote. It seemed professional and covered a lot of the questions that I would have otherwise had to ask with other companies. The other thing that I felt was very important (before and after making the booking) was that Kelvin, their manager, was available via WhatsApp and was able to respond to my questions quickly and accurately. It gave me the feeling of knowing that he cared that I was going to be happy with our decisions. He was at the airport in Arusha to personally greet us and introduce us to our driver for the tour. That was a nice touch. He also offered to meet again to say goodbye at the conclusion of our safari. From start to finish we felt well taken care by our fantastic driver/guide (Julius) and he did his very best to make sure we saw everything there was to see each day. Of course the accommodations were great. We stayed at Acacia Farms, Kubu Kubu for 2 nights, and Melia Ngorongoro. The breakfast and dinner meals were top notch at every location and the daily boxed lunches were decent as well. I have to say, the Melia Ngorongoro was outstanding (wow). A fun extra for me was re-learning Swahili with Julius, our driver. I had worked in Mtwara, Tanzania for about 1 year back in 2008 and did a shorter version of this same safari back then. I think he enjoyed me trying and failing and correcting and trying again, as much as I did. We even had my girlfriend Angie speaking a little by the end of the safari. Julius is a great guy - ask for him. In conclusion, other than not seeing the leopard this trip, I can't think of how anything could have been better. Angie felt the same way. Ok, maybe one thing - fix that road from Ngorongoro to the Serengeti. It's a rough ride! I highly recommend Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris for this trip. It all goes by too quickly, but you'll be leaving Arusha with a big smile and some great memories!

We want to extend our biggest thank you to jacob and buga who made our safari memorable. The entire team at Meru Slopes were so helpful and so accommodating, if you’re still hesitating between different tours, we wholeheartedly reccomend them with no hestitation. We had dozens of quotes from different companies and Meru Slopes were the most accommodating in term of budget and itinerary.

We took a 4 days-3 nights package with them in mid-May. We wanted to see Tarangire, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater. Our itinerary was very well planned, nothing to stress about on our side. They came to pick us up from the airport the day before and offered accomodation for the night. We paid a 15% deposit before to confirm and we finalized everything when we got to the hotel. They helped us get free card sims (which was such a nice thing to do) and helped with the whole set up as well.

While other tours offered boxed lunches and sometimes dinners, Meru Slopes went above and beyond and provided us with hot (and amazing!) meals throughout the day. Bouga (our cook) is unmatched and his food was so tasty, we often wanted seconds. If you book with them, definitely ask for Bouga as a cook.

Our driver and guide Jacob was amazing as well. He knows the parks like the back of his hand, he is very knowledgeable in all the animals in the park and he will answer any questions we have. There was a water bottle in our seats every morning and electricity in the car (even though sometimes it didn’t work as well). They also offered wifi but that wasn’t working as much either so don’t expect a strong connection.

We slept two nights in lodges and one in tents when we were supposed to do one in a lodge and two in a tent, so that was very nice surprise.

As a disclaimer, whether you book with this company or another, please be mindful of the Masai village tour. Not in a way to discredit the villages and the people, but more as a critique of the practice (that is widely done by many other companies). Before booking our tour, we made sure to ask that we do not do it, as we believe that people should not have to sell out their cultural practices in order to make a living. We wanted to support in other ways, but it was surprisingly part of our program even if we didn’t ask for it. We love learning about different cultures but in a way that is ethical and that truly supports the lifestyle of those people without them having to monetize on it. So unless you insist on doing it, we would recommend against it, and instead, look for programs that directly help the villages and their people (whether that’s with money, buying their creations as souvenirs, or supporting the preservation of their traditions and culture in Tanzania). One of the things we wish we did was get more knowledge of the Masaai tribe and other tribes in Tanzania prior to our trip, to make sure we knew how to best support them while we were there. So we definitely recommend getting informed beforehand.

Overall, if you were like us and were hesitating between the million tour companies and wasn’t sure about this one, book this one! no regrets!

Our 4-day safari with Meru Slopes was an incredible experience from start to finish, one we will never forget. The organization and communication beforehand were excellent – all our questions were answered quickly and thoroughly, so we felt well-prepared and in safe hands.

A huge thank you goes to our amazing driver, Robert. He went out of his way to show us the best spots in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Parks. With his extensive knowledge of wildlife and the surroundings, we were able to observe an incredible variety of animals up close: majestic lions, huge elephant herds, graceful giraffes, leopards, gepards and curious zebras. We were lucky enough to see a wide range of wildlife, including buffalo, wildebeest, antelope, hyenas, and, of course, the amusing warthogs (Pumbas). Robert always knew exactly where to go to give us the best wildlife sightings, all while driving us safely through some challenging terrain.

We also want to give a big shout-out to our cook, Yourhony. Every day he prepared fantastic meals for us that were not only delicious but also diverse. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner – we enjoyed every meal and looked forward to the food each day. Being so well-fed in the wilderness made the entire safari experience even more special.

The national parks themselves were breathtaking. The endless plains of the Serengeti, the impressive Ngorongoro Crater, and the dense baobab forests of Tarangire National Park not only provided stunning landscapes but also an incredible abundance of wildlife. Every day brought new highlights, from watching a lion family, witnessing a hyena's hunt, to observing elephants grazing peacefully under the setting sun.

The camps where we stayed were fantastic as well. Sleeping in the middle of nature, hearing the sounds of the wild, while still enjoying the comfort and safety of well-equipped tents, made the experience even more magical.

We can highly recommend Meru Slopes without hesitation. If you're looking for a perfectly organized safari, with a great team and unforgettable wildlife experiences, this is the company for you. It was the trip of a lifetime, and we would do it all over again! In hindsight, we would recommend booking at least 6 days to have more time in the parks and to fully enjoy the diverse wildlife at a more relaxed pace.

      Thanks,
      Pia & Yannic

We had a great experience on Safari with Meru Slopes. From the start, it was very easy to organise, and once we had outlined what we were looking to do and see, Jerome was very quick to send us the relevant quotes and information. We did a customised version of the 4 day group tour, with an extra day added at the end to see Lake Manyara. Jerome met us at our hotel on the day we commenced, and he outlined the itinerary that we would follow over the following 5 days. We had paid 15% in advance by card, and the remaining sum in cash when we started the Safari. We met our guide Nuruu and picked up the other tour members. We have to hand special praise to Nuruu. He was a really a fantastic guide. He was committed to getting us to see the animals that we wanted, and went out of his way to help us find them, particularly on the Serengeti and in Ngorongoro crater. He knew all of the animals that we encountered, from the big predators down to the smallest birds and insects. On top of this, we had some great conversations in the evenings where he told us about about life in Tanzania and among the Maasai. Selim, our cook, also did a great job, and the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners were all great.
Regarding the animals - we managed to see the "Big 5", the "Ugly 5" and the great migration. I did not expect to see as many elephants as we did in Tarangire, with one bull elephant coming right up and almost looking us in the eye. We saw plenty of monkeys and baboons, and many giraffes grazing on the acacia trees as we passed from Ngorongoro into the Serengeti region. We were particularly happy with getting to see lions up close, as well as some cheetahs. We saw rhinos in Ngorongoro, and a leopard in the Serengeti, but both from far off. On the last day, after leaving Lake Manyara, Nuruu took us to see a Maasai cattle mart, where we got a chance to see them loading up the purchased goats and cows. People cooked freshly killed meat over charcoal and we saw many stalls selling sundry vegetables, tools and clothes. It was an interesting cultural experience.
We were lucky to have had a really nice group of people with us doing the safari. It honestly would have been far less craic doing it alone, and we had some great times looking out for the animals in the 4x4 and drinking beers in the camps and lodges in the evenings. One or two of us had real eagle eyes and managed to spot a lot of wildlife from a great distance.
All in all, we'd highly recommend this Safari tour and Meru Slopes. To Nuruu particularly: it was great to meet you and I hope we meet again some day in the future.

We had such an amazing experience on safari with Meru Slopes. We chose the 4 day join safari, we dealt with Kelvin and then Geoffrey, the owner, we had 5 people in a 6 person vehicle which felt like a good amount. The booking process was smooth and friendly, and we were allowed to stay at the Tourist Inn Hotel in the city the day before and the day after the safari. The hotel itself is a little worn and outside it is noisy, but the breakfast was nice and the showers hot, so no complaints.

The safari itself was led by our driver and guide, Florian and Gadi was our cook. They made an amazing team. Florian was a great driver and seemed to have a sixth sense where to find the animals as we always managed to be first at the scene with lions, elephants and other animals. He was also very knowledgeable about just about everything related to the animals and the land. Then when it was mealtimes Gadi provided us with excellent food that seemed impossible given the circumstances and provisions that he had to work with. The menu was always varied and very tasty.

We are glad that we went on the camping safari because we got to experience the rusticness and the sounds of the animals at night. In the Serengeti we had Hyenas roaming around the campsite making noises as we slept, or didn't sleep. In the Ngorongoro campsite there were Buffalos grazing after dark. Both nights we got to see the blankets of stars decorating the sky. We were treated to a fantastic sunrise at the Ngorongoro crater on the last morning of the tour.

Apart from the action packed tours of the 3 national parks we also got to experience a Masai village where we took part in a ritualistic jumping ceremony. We then had a tour of the village and a glimpse at their way of life, and of course the experience ended with a shop, where they sold handmade items, remember to haggle.

All in all it was a fantastic experience that will live long in the memory. We would highly recommend this tour company if you are considering a Tanzanian safari.

Our safari with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, the team went above and beyond. Gift handled all reservations and was incredibly responsive to my requests, even adjusting the itinerary on short notice to replace Lake Manyara with a breathtaking day hike on Kilimanjaro due to flooding—an amazing alternative.

Andrew, our guide and driver, was outstanding. With over 24 years of experience, he shared his deep knowledge of the wildlife, answered all our questions with patience, and ensured we had the best possible sightings.

Dula, our cook, deserves high praise—his meals were nothing short of incredible, as if prepared in a top-tier restaurant, despite being made in the middle of the wilderness.

If you’re looking for a safari operator that provides exceptional service, seamless organization, and a team that truly cares about your experience, Meru Slopes is the perfect choice. Huge thanks to Gift, Andrew, and Dula for making this an unforgettable adventure!

We had a safari that couldn't have been better. I looked through every possible provider beforehand and even after the safari I can say that you won't find anything better in terms of value for money. One night before and after the safari at the Hotel Tourist Inn and the transfer from the airport are included. They are flexible when it comes to payment. You get breakfast and 2 hot meals a day, which were always very tasty and plentiful. Our guide was Samuel. He is super experienced, drives routes that the masses don't drive and has an eagle eye. He also responds to your wishes, is super friendly and courteous and just extremely funny. He also made the safari so unforgettable, thank you Samuel!

What can I say other than THANK YOU? We left as a couple for 4 days of safari with a visit to Tarangire Park, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater. Geoffrey organized everything perfectly in terms of planning, lodges, dates & times and French guide as requested, he answered all our questions via WhatsApp. It's the most beautiful experience of our life, we saw the BIG 5, all the animals & birds, the lodges (Rhino Lodge, Lahia Tented Lodge & Farm of dream lodge) were great. The meals were delicious, fresh and varied each day during the park visits. Unlimited drinking water & sodas in the car with fridge, wifi in the car & binoculars. Beyond the safari, know that you are leaving to live an unforgettable human experience! We really got attached to our guide Didas who took the time to explain everything to us, stopped at each animal, explained the program to us every day, spoke French perfectly well, always in a good mood with the joy of living! He has perfect control of his vehicle even when the road is complicated, he knows the animals and their lifestyles perfectly, how lucky we were to come across this agency and this guide, when we are a 15-hour flight from Tanzania. It's hard to plan ahead and imagine that everything will go well in terms of organization, safari transport planning and ultimately we couldn't have dreamed of better!! You deserve so much. You are the best!
It was very hard to say goodbye to our guide Didas when we left, we will never forget him. I recommend this agency 1000%, you can book and leave with peace of mind. PS: remember to bring a neck warmer for dust in the car & a warm sweater because it is cool in the morning, especially at the Ngorongoro Crater.
Thank you again for this magical experience, thank you Geoffrey, thank you Didas & thank you Meru Slopes Tour

If you're seeking an authentic and unforgettable safari experience in Tanzania, look no further than Meru Slope Agency. Our recent 4-day basic shared safari and cultural experiance exceeded all expectations, leaving us with memories to last a lifetime.

Florian, for sure we can say is the best guide you can get. He has such nice and plesant personallity and he´s an excelente wildlife expert and with very good animal spotting he enhanced every moment of our safari. He made a big effort that we saw all big 5. :-) The only animal who was hiding from us was the chettah, but no problem we will return for that one. :-)

Johan's culinary skills and hospitality added an extra layer of delight to our journey. His delicious meals reflected the flavors of the region, each day he prepared 3 hot meals and all it was TOP.

Geofrey the manager arranged airport transfers and ensured a comfortable stay in Arusha, overall all the comunication with him as well the whole organisation was very good.

In conclusion, I recommend Meru Slope Agency to anyone looking for a safari experience that combines adventure, authenticity, and exceptional service.

Once again THANK YOU FLORIAN and JOHAN for all the fun we had and for all the beautiful memories.

And one more tip, if you are heading further to Zanzi, our advise is to stay longer in Arusha and to organise some other trips with Meru Slopes and you spent less days in Zanzi. The second day in Zanzi we already missed Tansania, Meru Slopes and all the nice people we´ve met, so we wanted to return and do other trips with them. This is our only regret in the whole 16 day journey, that we spent 9 days in Zanzi and only 6 in central Tansania. As for to Tansania we will return, to Zanzi not.

      The experience exceeded our expectations.
Before the trip the team at Meru slopes (especially Gift Tembo) was incredibly patient and cordial; they worked with us to find an itinerary that fit our budget and covered what we wanted to do (we preferred to go to Materuni than Tarangire, and they were fine with that). We also wanted a different accommodation in Arusha and they included it in our package and coordinated with the local accommodation directly.

During the trip the guides were always on time, we had the fortune of having Patrick for our Serengeti and Ngorongoro tour, and Fidelis for our day in the Materuni Village. They were both outstanding! Patrick is kind, always happy and knowledgeable, and you can see how much he loves the animals during the game drives. Our cook Yohana (we did not realize we were having our personal cook through the trip) was very nice as well and accommodating of the different dietary restrictions of the people in our group, which the vegetarians in our tour really appreciated. All meals were delicious. Fidelis was very friendly and energetic, kept his eyes open to find small things in our hike we would enjoy (like a chameleon in the leaves!) and made sure to take us to all the items on our wish list in the day we had with him.

The cars were kept clean with water, you can charge your phone, there are books to consult about the animals and Tanzanian culture during the game drives, and I really have absolutely nothing negative to say about this company. Would use them again and recommend them with my eyes closed.

This was my first time taking a safari and the first time in many years joining a small organized group trip like this and I must say: Meru Slopes sets the gold standard. From the airport pickup to the early morning drop off at the bus station from the hotel at the end of the journey, rarely have I seen better service or quality than with Meru Slopes. The campsites they chose were excellent, the food cooked by Buga amazing, the itinerary executed by the excellent, knowledgable, and charismatic Stanley, and the interface, organization, and arrangement of everything from afar (and near) by Jerome were the definition of professionalism and good taste. Whoever wants to see and experience Tanzania at its very best should travel with Meru Slopes.
