My boyfriend and I were driven from Sigiriya to Wilpattu in a car, where we met with our jeep driver/guide at the safari for a private tour (we had the entire jeep to ourselves to our surprise!). There was a bit of delay to our tour, but our guide Pasindu was very experienced and knowledgeable about the forest reserve. We were lucky to have spotted a leopard in the afternoon! An unforgettable tour worth every penny!

We had a great half day trip to Wilpattu from Anuradhapura. We were picked up from our hotel in an air conditioned car, then transferred to the jeep at Wilpattu. The jeep driver was also the guide. It’s a beautiful park, lots of birds and other wildlife and we saw two leopards. Highly recommended.

I recently had the exhilarating experience of going on a rafting tour with Ceylon Travel , and it was truly unforgettable! Great way to experience Wilpattu from Anaradurapura. The car transfer to the park was timely and well arranged and the park safari went smoothly. When they say that entrance ticket is not included know that you’ll have to pay an additional $45 for park admission and admission of the driver and jeep and service frees. That part was a surprise to me as I thought I’d just be paying my admission to the park. Other than that it was well arranged and I enjoyed the safari.

Guys, Wilpaththu and Kandy are great too. However, you cannot do Wilpaththu for 1/2 day if you travel from Kandy. Pragmatically, it will take 4.5 hrs from Kandy to Wilptahthu, and I recommend you stay around Wilpaththy or Plonnaruwa ara and visit Wilpathu at 6 AM when they open the gate to see real animals. Food in the canteen at the entrance of Wilpathu is great, but make sure you take your lunch, water and extra snacks. Personally, I recommend doing 1 day at Wilpathu as animals do not care about our schedule, and they work on their own schedule :).

The driver was on time, very funny and nice. The guide was perfect, explained me everything about tea culture and about his country in general.

The tour was amazing. I was picked up on time by a driver with a nice new car and driven to Sinharaja - it took 3 hours. Then I proceeded with a guide to the rainforest. The guide was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. He explained to me a lot of things about Sri Lanka nature and the local ecosystem. During the tour, we saw a scorpion, a few snakes, lizards, monkeys and some other animals. I am a bit afraid of the snakes but I felt very safe with the guide because he knew how to behave. In the middle of the tour, I had the opportunity to bath under a waterfall, which was very refreshing. After coming out of the forest, I had a delicious lunch. I am a solo travelling women and I am very glad that both the driver and the guide were respectful.

After a disappointing experience with another agency, we were hesitant to book another tour. However, Ceylon Travel Dreams impressed us with their excellent customer service and thoughtful approach. We are a family of five just back from a 22day tour of Sri Lanka booked with CTD. We advised dates and few specific requirements for the trip and CTD put together a fantastic itinerary covering Columbo, Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, Nurwara Eliya, Ella, Udawalawe NP, Bundalla NP, Mirissa, Galle and Wadduwa. The package included all accommodation and a driver / guide for the duration. I obtained proposals from 4 other Sri Lankan operators and selected CTD based upon itinerary content, accommodation and value for money. Accommodation was 4-5 star 'deluxe room' standard with half-board and, in most cases, CTD were able to arrange inter-connecting rooms for our children. The accommodation was very good throughout and, at most hotels, accommodation and meals were included for the driver. The itinerary was an ideal balance between ancient city culture and history and more teenage-friendly activities such as jeep safaris, whale-watching and white-water rafting. We all particularly enjoyed an authentic Sri Lankan half-cooking course in Ella where then then enjoyed the product of our efforts for lunch! Special acknowledgement goes to Chamila, our guide / driver, who always had a smile, was knowledgeable, friendly and willing to adapt and tailor the schedule to best suit the needs of our family. Chamila was also a great ‘fixer’ ensuring that arrangements were in place with jeep safaris and other activities in advance to ensure a smooth experience for us. Chamila was also very flexible and willing to accommodate additional sights, stops and requests. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would happily recommend CTD to others.

We did a 2 week wildlife tour of Sri Lanka with Ceylon Travel Dream. From the start, the communication was excellent. Throughout the booking process we were able to customise the trip to what we wanted to see and do. Even after booking, Kasun checked in with us throughout the tour to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. Our tour guide Chandana was incredibly attentive, he made sure that we got to see everything Sri Lanka has to offer as well as experience the culture, food and local life. He would always stop and show us places of interest on our long drives as well as ensuring we had plenty of drinks and snacks on the road and during our safaris. We visited many of the national parks such as Yala, Wilpattu, Udawalawe and Minneriya. We saw lots of elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, birds, leopards and even some sloth bears! We also visited a park called Maduru Oya, I do not recommend this specific park as it’s very overgrown making it difficult to see the wildlife, you also have to constantly duck out of the way of branches. The vehicle we were in during this safari was poorly maintained and very noisy meaning the animals ran away as soon as we got close. Most of the hotels we stayed in were clean and comfortable with a good selection of food for breakfast and dinner. We personally were not a fan of Arugam bay as it’s a typical backpacker/tourist hotspot and the entire place smells like burning garbage and plastic. We were very lucky to have such an attentive and knowledgeable guide who has an infectious enthusiasm for sharing his love of his country. He showed us the natural beauty of Sri Lanka and ensured we had the best possible time. I would recommend booking with this company and would book again without hesitation should we decide to return to Sri Lanka.

This tour was well worth it. A pleasant drive through interesting country. We had a great driver, Buddhika, (we also booked him for our Kandy to Colombo Airport transfer) He is a very good, careful driver. The tower and other monuments on the top of the hill were very interesting. The views of the surrounding countryside amazing. We are very happy to recommend this tour.

A great safari tour to see animals in the wild. Deer, water buffaloes, mongoose, elephants, peacocks, wild boar, jungle fowls, ducks, wild rabbits,crocodiles, birs of many types and more.

Beautiful Hindu Temple, well worth a shirt visit and photo op. This was our first Temple visited in Sri Kanja, compares well with others we came across in different Asian countries
